My family and I had an awesome time! We were the only people on the first boat out off the cruise which gave us a little more time on the water. Staff was fun & felt completely safe. Loved the music playing while we were boating and parasailing. Such a fun experience!

We stopped by Catalina while on our cruise and wanted to try something different. They had a cruise ship special for $59 if I remember right. We called to make reservations and I'll just note that you should ask for email confirmation. They just asked for my name and number. They wrote my name wrong and couldn't find me and they never sent me anything. Luckily my number was listed or we almost wouldn't have gotten on. Anyway, girl who works the counter was quick. We waited about 10-15 mins after signing paperwork and they came for us. Got on the boat which my bf was terrified of. He gets seasick on smaller boats but he seemed to be fine on this one. They got us out there fast and strapped us up. Very efficient and take off and landing was super smooth. Never felt like a rocky ride and the guys on the boat were nice. We got the photo package for $20 for four of us. About 50-60 pics of each pair. Most the pictures are not that great but they had some good shots that I was grateful for! They upload all the pics straight to your phone on the boat which I liked. Didn't have the wait until we were off to view them. Whole time up there was peaceful. Quiet, beautiful, not scary at all for anyone who wants to try it! I def recommend this place. Great excursion for the price!

Great experience for my daughter and her first time...not the slightest bit scared! Very good crew and super cool! I recommend getting the picture package as well.

I cannot recommend them enough! These two gentlemen were very nice to us especially to my kids. It was our first time and they were very assuring of our safety. My kids had a blast. They were kind and friendly. They made the kids dip their feet on the water. The lady who checked us in was super nice too! We had the best time!

What an amazing experience! Staff was wonderful and helpful!! I called Nadia 15,000 and she gave me excellent customer service every single call; I was so happy to see her in person. Nate and Carlos gave us exceptional service too. They were all extremely nice, and we cannot to come back!!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Nadia, Nate, & Carlos are the BEST! From the first phone call to the end, every moment was magical. We did the 9:30 am flight and saw 100 dolphins. The water was glass & the price was half what the cruise ship charged. We left feeling like the luckiest girls in the world. We will be back to do it again!

    Nice takeoff.

Read this, it might save your life. Overall I had a nice time with this activity but I need to caution people because my flight was not entirely pleasant. Having used rock climbing harnesses before, my instinct was to try to slide the leg hoops up as they were hanging lower than I expected. Once I got in the air, it was my instinct to try to slide my butt down to where the leg hoops would come up, and as I moved forward, I realized that my butt was getting close to the edge of the seat part of the harness. This was very uncomfortable because I realized that I could not easily move back and didn't want to wiggle around as I felt like I was good, but if I moved around, that I would slide forward out of the seat. You can see what I mean by this video. https://youtu.be/9d2aVxXlb2I While it was on me, I can't help but think that out of the hundreds of people who fly with these guys, that I would be the only one to have a misconception of how the harness works, so I am actually faulting them and calling them out for not telling people to simply sit back in the harness and that the leg loops are a secondary, not a primary restraint. Other than that, I feel like I have to include my parasailing photos because it is a very serene experience.

Beautiful cool weather for February 2024.

We went parasailing with Island Water Charters/Parasail on the only Pier in Catalina (Avalon) It was amazing! So relaxing up at the 800 foot level. Side by side we went up! Carlos & Captain Doug kept us dry. FEBRUARY IS COLD. We saw a pod of dolphins then followed them for about 10 minutes. I want to go again for another trip with my girlfriends!

The 2 guys on the boat are chill and laid back, super friendly and make you feel comfortable the whole time. The view from 800ft is amazing, affordable and fun. I'm terrified of heights but this was worth it.

The itinerary is up to you, and since it was a little chilly and windy, we opted to stay mainly in the marina, which was perfectly fun. Said hi to some seals. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of champagne and brought our own drinks and snacks on board- they helped us put the drinks out on ice which was a nice touch. The boat is clean, spacious for 6, and has comfortable seating at the bow and stern to lay out and catch some sun. The booking process is straightforward. Captain Reed is very responsive and accommodating to changes as well. Recommend them for a fun boat day--We will be coming back for sure when it's warmer!

The only downfall is my husband said he was expecting to go in open ocean and that we didn't need to pay extra for a captain if we're just going to stay in the island. Then at the end we also had to tip the captain. Which was fine because he was cool but keep in mind you don't have to pay for it if you're going to be around the cove. To top this all off after my husband left a review they called my husband asking him to change his review and exchange they will give him two hour free yacht ride, so we can go in the open ocean. We tried so many times contacting them, they told us let us know when is a good day. After us letting them know, he told us he will let us know when is a good day for him THIS month. I had told my parents we would take them on a yacht ride, so now I look dumb because it is the end of the month and the guy never got back to me on Instagram, over text we tried contacting them. So, now I have to go back and leave a review because it just wasn't right for them to do that. I'm leaving some pictures of the conversation me and the company had over Instagram. These are not the messages that my husband had separately with them as well. RESPONSE TO THE NOW DELETED COMMENT: never said I didn't have fun, my friends were there, we brought our drinks and captain was nice. A man is only as good as his word and obviously now you're lying and saying myself and everyone else on the boat was drunk. Of course we would want to take advantage of another yacht ride to go in the open ocean like he originally planned we were going to take our toddler and my parents so it's really baffling how you're trying to make it seem like it's our fault. It was my birthday and I didn't pay for it so I didn't know what was included in the package I still had fun but I am speaking on behalf of my husband. We just didn't get what we paid for. And by the messages in the picture I will let the dates and convo speak for themselves. We don't want the complimentary ride because you obviously had an attitude about giving it, and never got back to us. No hard feelings, good day!

From prior experience on my drive, I wanted to make sure I made it here right at opening. I was glad I did. I avoided the traffic on my drive and crowds here at the tubing park. I would say I arrived about 30 min after it opened. My wife did not want to tube so we were curious as to if she was going to have to pay or not. Luckily there is a viewing area, but as a heads up it is near the entrance and not as near to where you tube (but still viewable). I paid for parking ($10) and for one ($25) since my daughter is under 36". I'm glad I didn't have to pay for her specifically because 20-25 min into it she was over it. Your ticket/wristband is timed and per hour. They did check my wristband before I walked out to ensure I didn't overstay/need to charge me an extra prorated amount. I highly recommend coming out for a 1 hr experience. I was nervous that my toddler would be too scared, but she was able to tube solo (she is 2 and about 34").

They're pretty thorough about checking waivers, which I appreciated for safety. The snow play space is small with a short slope, but they provide a bunch of plastic sleds, so it's still fun to mess around. I just wish tubing was included for the price. Two events lead to this 1-star review…read more First, I had just loaded onto lift 13 when the lift stopped. I looked back to see 2 snowboarders fighting on the ground in front of the lift. The fact that some people can be A-holes isn't what bothered me, what bothered me is the incredibly slow and lackadaisical response from the staff. The attendant from the lift was doing her best to separate them while I watched 1 staff member slowly walk over. Second, and this was the most troubling, was the lack of attention to beginner-level skiers on lift 2. My wife took our 6-year-old, first-time skier on to lift 2 while I followed right behind. We both let the attendant know it was his first time on the lift to which she just responded "chase the chair and you'll be fine". As the chair came around I watched my son almost fall off the seat. My wife and I both yelled stop as she pulled him back on. Without even turning to look, the attendant nonchalantly said "he's fine, he was on". When we reached the top of the lift, there was no assistance to help them and they ended up taking a big fall off the chair, both hitting their heads and my wife injuring her tailbone. They stopped the lift just long enough to get them to the side before resuming again. They let us know in the future we should give them a thumbs down on the approach and they'll slow down the lift. It would have been REALLY nice if the attendant at the bottom of the hill had let us know that. As we gathered ourselves on the benches, we watched beginner after beginner fall as soon as the chair pushed them forward. Often times there were 4-5 people on the ground, creating obstacles for other skiers to avoid as they exited the lift. Several times we watched the exiting skiers fall over previous skiers that weren't able to clear the area. All this to say, the concern for safety and level of professionalism left a lot to be desired and we do not plan on returning.

The go-karts were probably the biggest thrill for me, with plenty of speed and just enough friendly competition to make every lap interesting. I also loved the ropes course, especially the way it's set up. Instead of following a single path, you pay for your time and can freely explore different obstacles and challenges at your own pace. There's even a small zip line mixed in, which was a fun surprise. The tubing was another highlight. There's something surprisingly exciting about launching down the hill on an inner tube and picking up serious speed, even in the springtime. Riding the magic carpet back to the top made it easy to squeeze in run after run without wearing myself out. Overall, it felt like a full day of active fun with enough variety to keep things interesting, and I left tired in the best possible way.

[img 1 of 4] Sat, Mar 7 -- When I finally make plans to go, the resort closed. Not just that, they (unintentionally) pulled a bait and switch a couple times. My complaint isn't the weather. My complaint is the repeated false hope from their announcement approach. Seeing how bad the weather had been, wish they had just announced early that they will not open the next day, well before the dilettantes had already gone out and rented ski gear the day before. Save me the trouble of repeatedly refreshing their mountain report webpage every hour beside my expensive snowboard rental eagerly waiting to shred. - "WIND HOLD - UPDATE AT 10AM" For a while it had already been well past 10AM and no update yet... - "We are planning to open Chair #1 at 11AM ... with full operations by 12PM" almost made me start the ~2hr drive to their resort already. Imagine the infuriating waste of gas that would've been. - "Snow Play will be open Saturday" Sounds like an assurance... - Finally! Around 1pm, "Closed Due to High Winds". ¡No me digas! - lol below that, still "Snow Play will be open Saturday"... [2/4] Sun Mar 15 Round 2 of Mt Baldy disappointment after having already eagerly rented the expensive snowboard package a 2nd time, here we go! - "Snow Play will be open Saturday" ok, the assurance again. - "We'll be open through Monday" so we're for sure for sure now, right? - "... tomorrow March 16. Unfortunately we will not be open" Again?? Mer alors! + Silver lining: Thank you Mt Baldy at least for notifying me before I already started driving up the mountain. - "we're still hopeful!" (at this point, ) lol suuure -- "bring any unused tickets to the mountain for a gift card" ....uhhh what? After EVERYTHING, I'm now being encouraged to drive allll the way up to the mountain?? Gas prices must be an all-time low these days... [3/4] -- Prepaid parking disappointment. Their website kept saying "Please select at least one rate type to continue", so I kept selecting the single parking ticket rate, but the website wouldn't relent. - Occasionally it'd give me a tease by loading a new page... only to reveal "Not Confirmed" or "404 Page not found". . Note: I eventually realized by "rate" the website meant to buy an actual ski ticket, meaning you can't buy a parking ticket without buying a ski ticket... Well that defeats the purpose of a free ski ticket, innit? (lol I did slang in Spanish, French, and British) - lol so much for the online marketing tease "prepaid parking is discounted!" The lift tickets and rentals are significantly cheaper than the bigger resorts in the area but you will need to book both online in advance. You can also book parking in advance and it is cheaper to do so. I wish there was more information on the website to tell us what to expect. So here is my experience. Once you arrive at the parking lot, they will ask for payment. If you have booked in advance, you just tell them and they will wave you through. Just follow the staff's directions to park. We arrived at about 8:30am on a Saturday morning and there was plenty of parking available. You will then walk up a short but steep hill into the check-in hut. At this point, the will request that you fill in a waiver, which you should fill in online prior to arrival to speed up the process. You only need to fill this in once per season. Then you will be handed your parking ticket (for proof when you exit - but no one checked, as well as your lift ticket. You will be directed to the sugar pine chairlift #1, which is about a 20 min ride up to the resort area. This was probably the coldest part of the trip in the morning as the sun had yet to reach into the valley and the wind was quite strong. Once we got up onto resort level, we headed to the right which was the renal hut. The rental fitting process was quite smooth. You had to complete a form to, and when it's your turn, you hand the form to a member of staff who would send the relevant size to you. You start with the ski boot and then skis (or board). While you are waiting, you can grab helmets off the shelves in the waiting area. The last piece of equipment would be your poles (if needed) as you exit). On the day we went, the snow was packed powder and pretty good to ski on. As the day wore on, it got a little slushy in places but still very nice to ski on. It was quite warm and there were people who removed their jackets. The trails are not well marked so we spent quite a lot of time staring at the map. Turns out we went onto a wrong trail at one point! There were barely any lines at the lifts, nor was it super crowded, so we could get our runs in quite quickly. On the other hand, there isn't a wide variety of beginner runs. As for food, well, the food is standard ski lodge food - not great and quite expected. There was a line but unlike other ski resorts, we were able to get seating pretty quickly and the line was not too long. I imagine it could get worse in peak season when you have more folks coming up for snow play. So maybe bring some food. Talking about bringing food, there aren't any lockers for your valuables. We were told we could leave our bags in open cubbies. I carried my bag since I wanted water on my, but in hindsight, since the mountain wasn't big, I could have left it and just carried my wallet and phone. Overall, it was a lovely first experience skiing here. I would like to check it out in peak season when there's more traffic to see how the infrastructure handles the crowds. It's really nice to be able to ski without my toes and fingers freezing up or waiting in long lines.
