My travel partner ended up enjoying the store so much I ended up waiting in the (yummy) sushi restaurant nearby so she could look at every single thing she wanted to without being rushed. $50 and a bag full of happy finds later she met me for a snack in the restaurant and showed me her finds: earrings, an art book just brought in from London, items to take apart and use for her own art business. She was one happy camper. Not only that they have the cleanest and nicest smelling restroom I've met in a shop. We'll be stopping in again any time we're in the area.

They also had a lot of cashmere sweaters so I spent a fair amount of time perusing the variety. My husband and I also checked out shirts from Chesapeake Bay Outfitters' own line, Rising Tide, which had a terrific feel to them. The store was organized and had great displays. I'm sorry that the reviews for this lovely store aren't better. We didn't have any awful customer service experiences but I will say no one greeted us or acknowledged us which is never good in a retail situation. In most other shops in Saint Michaels the staff were welcoming, friendly and chatty.

This place is setup in the typical "vendor stall" setup that's common with antique multi-stores where each little booth is a separate seller. Overall it provides a better experience for the customer with a plethora of different vendors and things to peruse. Sometimes these larger malls are a little bit cumbersome to navigate and I find myself thinking "oh crap, have I done this room yet?" but Antique Alley was kind enough to have arrows on the floor to direct you through their space, to make sure that you were able to see everything and not have to double back.
