Stumbled on this place inside horseshoe casino around 1am. I wish I'd taken a picture of the menu because it's quite varied. They offer street tacos and other mexican type fare, as well as wood brick oven pizzas. There's one size, sorry i'm not sure of the exact dimension, but plenty for two to share. The regular crust with cheese is 14 bucks and the thin is 10, with a dollar for each topping. There are a couple of specialty offers for 17-18 bucks but I can't remember what they were as we wanted to build our own.
Oh, and as a side note, they also have an ice cream set up that looked amazing, with salted caramel, strawberry with drizzled swirls of strawberry I think... it seems like they have about 8 or more flavors and they looked incredible.
So the two of us ordered a pizza with four toppings and got two bottled drinks for about 26 bucks.
The person working there insisted we pay with cash, which was inconvenient, but I acquiesced. The bottled drinks were warm. The pizza itself was really good, on par with other brick oven pizzas I've had.
Overall, i'm thrilled to have a late night option for pizza and mexican other than the really crappy places in downtown shreveport. Even on a Saturday night, it wasn't crowded or filled with drunks, so that was awesome. Cleanliness and service are above average for late night establishments. Star docking is for warm beverage without an ice option and for insistence to pay with cash. read more
