Very cool restaurant and bar! Great atmosphere. The food is literally the best I've had in Texas for Cajun food! Our waitress and the bar tender were amazing! We will definitely be coming back!!! They also have two separate outside spaces with an outdoor stage, games!

The Sister Special was highly recommended, and it is definitely the best sandwich I have ever had. I did start rotating between the Sister, the Pulled Pork, and the Chopped Brisket, and I always get a side of pinto beans. It is a cozy little restaurant, and being able to watch the meat come directly off of the smoker to the kitchen is such a nice experience! The family who runs the place are always so incredibly nice and helpful. Great food, great people, and a great place to go support a locally owned business!

I've been a customer for at least 15 years, or however long they've been open. After the owners sold it, this new ownership has taken it way downhill. They will respond and say that my kids were running around and screaming, which is a lie. I don't allow that. On a regular basis, the staff says very rude things to us. They chewed us out for sitting at a table that says "6 people or more". We had a group of 12-15 people coming. All they had to do was ask. On another occasion, the girl at the counter chewed me out for bringing in my (visibly almost-empty) Starbucks coffee. "Sir, we don't allow outside food and drinks". I have always ever bought multiple drinks for myself and my family, and they know that. Very jerky people. No wonder it's always a ghost town when all the other restaurants are slammed. We'll take our hard earned money elsewhere. You should too. Avoid!

I was staying near Waco for a few days, but the area I was in had very limited choices for food. So, I looked up some nearby restaurants in Waco, and found Cajun Craft. It was worth the drive in from where I was staying. From the outside, it doesn't look like much: small parking lot, rusted roof, etc. However, I have found that often conceals some of the best places. An immediate friendly greeting was offered at the door and I was surprised by the quaint setting. There were only a few tables near the bar, but there was a covered patio attached and even more seating outside. The menu offered most of the traditional Cajun dishes at a modest price, but I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the Atchafalaya Catfish, a catfish filet over a bed of rice smothered in crawfish Étouffée. It was amazing. The Étouffée was rich and hearty, with the perfect spice level, maybe the best I have had west of Baton Rouge. The catfish was crisp and golden, giving a great balance to the creamy Étouffée. If you are ever in the Waco area and have a craving for some authentic Cajun cuisine, you must give Cajun Crafts a visit.

What restaurants don't seem to understand is that if you are going to charge more then the bar has to be raised in every sense. Now the food I will say it was seasoned really well. The shrimp was not overcooked which is a plus and something that is a tell anywhere there is seafood. However, this place needs a major hosedown, its really dirty. I know sometimes tables are sticky- they were sticky, seats are sticky- they were menus on the table were greasy. That is the secont thing I noticed. The second thing I noticed is we were not greeted at the host counter for a while. No one was standing there or quickly came to us. I get it sometimes places are severely understaffed but a courteous apology or even a simple explanation would've been decent. Then we were seated behind a couple that were on a business call full blast even though there were many other empty booths and tables. Then our sever took forever to come take our drink orders and then forgot to bring out one of the drinks. Then the food comes out. It looks good. I got to grab my silverware and it was filthy. I didn't want to complain so my husband was about to hand me his when a bug may a "c" came out of his silverware and ran under the table. This really ruined how I felt about the place and it was unfortunate because the food tasted good. Unfortunately, three out of four us fell ill that night. Not great will not return.
