This a a cute restaurant. Great decor, very fish themed. I ate lunch with my wife, our 9 year old and almost 2 year old. We went during a slow time but only one waitress and one boh employee were working. Food and service took a while but understandably so. This place was very kid friendly, with games and diaper changing facilities. Our food came out hot and delicious and everything was well seasoned. I have gone a few times and it is usually good. Anything fried has no flavor though. Just flour tasting. But this last time we went, it was rough. The wait was so long due to the fryer being down. The waitress was sweet but obviously very overwhelmed. Someone else brought our food out and our waitress argued with her in front of us that she had the wrong items which ended up being our food and it was very awkward. They barely come by the table to check on anything and it is so overpriced for no reason. read more

10 out of 10!! Highly recommend!! I got the pound of shrimp head off with corn, eggs, and potatoes. The sauce I picked was the fire all blends. My fiance got the crawfish and crab legs. I'm from MD so I love seafood. My wife and I have been here numerous times. I get the shrimp and scallops and we get the crab/seafood cakes. I always request theyput the scallops in the boiling bag with the shrimp. Takes some explaining from time to time but it's the best. No complaints food wise. Love it cajun, super hot! What I do have an issue with is the men's room. Never clean & actually hazardous die to the wet floor. My other issue is service. I work hard for my money and expect great service everywhere I go. 2 trips ago, we were seated, sat for 10 minutes. After the waiter showed up, he took our drink order and 15 more minutes later, we received them. At that time, I ordered crab cakes. 20 minutes later, they arrived. No silverware, plates or sauce. Beer was empty for about 10 minutes and we never saw our waiter again. 20 minutes after the cakes were dropped off, we got up and left. I left enough to cover the drinks and cakes but was extremely disappointed. Took me about 3 months to go back. Last visit was good but still the same bathroom issue. Clean up those restrooms and get the service back to a good level and we'll be back. Or go back to Booling Cajun down the road. read more

Great food each time we go or order takeout Never a bad order - We always order Combos A and E Spicy, Cajun with an order of Corn Garlic Butter Spicy Cajun. Take them home - put them all in the same dish - and wow that is what you are looking for so delicious. We have visited the restaurant in person and the staff always nice and the service wonderful. Inside it is layed out nicely that you don't feel like you are sitting on top of each other. Hush Puppies are the main thing that suck the worst on the menu. But definitely do the combos mentioned about take them home - put them in a huge bowl for the family and you will ask yourself why didn't I do this before. read more

Loved it! We visited Craving Crab a week ago for my birthday dinner. There were 4 of us. First impressions... This place is really clean! Okay, the men's room floor was a bit sticky. But yeah, the restaurant area was clean, well kept and well lit. Our server was very attentive. She answered all of my many questions, took our our drink orders and returned with them promptly. When our guests arrived (they'd been here once before), we placed our orders. It took a bit longer than I thought it might - maybe 15 to 20 minutes but we were in no hurry. My wife and I split the Combo E (1# Shrimp and 1# Snow Crab - Garlic Sauce, spice level 2) plus we added a Lobster Tail and an order of Broccoli (steamed, served on the side). The meal was fantastic! 1# of Shrimp is a LOT. 1# of Snow Crab was about 2 clusters. The Lobster tail was split in half and still in the shell. It was easy to remove the shell and it was SO tasty. The legs of the Crab were smaller and there was no butter knife at the table to score the legs before snapping them, so the section with the large part of the meat was hard to get out. To do again, we'd customer order and swap the Crab for 2 Lobster tails. Back to the server, she touched base with us a few times and brought drink refills automatically. I could tell she's been at this game a while - anticipating customer's needs etc. As for cost, I feel the combo meal was priced well. If you decide to create your own combo, it gets pricey and there's where I think there's room for the owner to consider lowering the cost. We'll definitely be back! read more

Been more than 5 times with my daughter because we both love seafood and we normally come for lunch. My daughter usually gets the shrimp and crab boil and I get the shrimp boil. The boils come in a plastic bag with your choice of sauces, a boiled egg and a small potato. Very filling and the bill, with drinks and tip is around 65 bucks, but you do get a lot of food. Probably waited about 15 minutes for a table, and we were first in line. First off, the menu really isn't created for individual orders, but buying by the pound. That's not really evident on their website. Second, the staff isn't great about explaining the choices. We muddled thru. My wife and I shared a pound of boiled shrimp. She got an add-on side and I got an appetizer crab cake. Our son got fired scallops. The batter fell off his scallops as he tried to eat them. The shrimp had been boiled too long. The crab cakes must have been frozen grocery store products. We came. We ate. We left. Don't need to repeat this venture again. read more

The level of disappointment I had visiting this restaurant is unmatched. I don't think I've ever left a restaurant hungry. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the 2 staff members I interacted with were friendly. It's clear the focus is the ambiance and not the food. Let's start with the Weatherford tap water they serve. My friend said it Literally taste like they dip the crabs in it before they serve it. I told the waitress the water was gross and she said she knows. I asked if they had bottle water. Problem solved. I ordered fried pickles waiting on my friends to arrive. They were delicious! My friends arrive and one order's calamari. It was so rubbery she ate 2 pieces. I ordered catfish basket with sweet potato fries and there is $1.00 up charge. They served me crispy thin tilapia. It was so dry. It was definitely not fresh. The waffle fries come out of a bag. I know. I have the exact ones in my freezer. One of my friends who ordered a shrimp basket and seasoned fries had to ask for salt and pepper. My other fried who ordered the calamari also ordered the fried scallops. You can tell they were cooked from frozen. It was so moist when you bit into it the breading would not stick to them. When our sweet little waitress came back and asked how the food was. I unfortunately was honest because wow! I was just so taken back that everything was lacking in some way. She said she would go get her manager I told her we weren't complaining to get a meal comp. She asked and I was going to be honest. Had she not asked we could have left our full plates and just left like me planned to do and did. She came back and said her manager took the calamari off my friends tab. As a manager myself I would have at least spoken to the guest not let my nervous young waitress handle it. I left hungry and very disappointed in the reviews I saw that lead me there. I also realized flavor isn't a requirement for a lot of people. So, when Craving Crab first opened I was unsure of their pricing. All I heard was "market price". That delayed us visiting. You can be sure their pricing is fair. We now dine here once a week. We open with either a dozen raw oysters or a pound of steamed shrimp, heads off. We then get fried catfish baskets or I'll get a combo basket of catfish and scallops. Always great. There's also fried shrimp, oysters and other options. Hubs gets the 1/2 and 1/2 tea (1/2 sweet, 1/2 not), and I get a glass of cabernet. Generous pour, thank you.
