I called the location closest and asked if they had the battery and could they install. The guy I spoke to said they had a few batteries and could install for me. I drove over, waited in line behind 4 people, got to the counter and that guy said he'd sell me the battery but couldn't install it. I told him I had just called, the guy I spoke to said they could install. Guy behind counter said it wasn't me you spoke to and I'm too busy to install it. Customer service here is non existent. Luckily my truck started and I was able to get help somewhere else. Avoid these bozos. They don't give a damn about people in need of help.

Not a good source for Audiophile vacuum tubes in my experience. I ordered 3 - OA2, 3 - OB2, and 3 -…read moreOC2 VR tubes to roll in a 300B amp I have coming soon. They called & told me they only had 1 - OC2 (understandable) & I said fine, just adjust the order/refund for the 2 missing tubes, no biggie. What I then received was 1 - OC2, 4 - OA2, and 1 - OB2, some RCA, a Sylvania and a "Conn" (life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get). All looked pretty rough, dirty & very bent pins. I have not tested them yet but at best they may test as NOS, but are definitely used, not NOS. When I called to correct the order, I was told "you received the correct total number of tubes, so we cant refund. You need to send back tubes if you want them replaced". Considering this was their mistake, and that we're talking about tubes that are worth, at most, $9.50, I had assumed they would send out replacements for the 2 - missing OB2 tubes, and either send a return postage slip, or just say "keep the tube you didn't order". But, I guess that's not how they roll. Anyway, lesson learned. I wont bother them with my business again.

Incredible. Lifesavers. 100/10…read more I fully submerged my iPhone 6 in water and couldn't fish to out for a full 30 seconds. Tried the rice method but not until a few hours later. The result, not unexpectedly, was disastrous. Half the phone screen turned black, or started pushing buttons itself, or wouldn't respond, or wouldn't turn on, and then, finally, it would just flashed a green screen at me at a nightclub rave tempo. Summary: worst case scenario. It was the weekend and I rely on my phone for personal life and work. I was panicking. I feared not only for my news feed, but for the clients that couldn't get ahold of me bright and early Monday morning. I googled the nearest place with the best reviews. Then searched again for anyone open on a Sunday at noon (not many). These guys popped up; I went in with a bank card and blind hope. Expecting to have to buy a cheap full-in phone until I could sort out this mess with Apple or AT&T. Expecting to kiss my savings account goodbye. These guys are outstanding. I walked in, explained the situation. They gave me a full quote and walked me though the possible damages and repair options. Sent me to kill time for an hour, and when I came back about 50 minutes later, they had it mostly fixed. They switched it between the old and new screen right in front of me so I could understand the situation. Opened it up and showed me the damages. I know nothing about the inner workings of an iPhone, but they broke it down for me unprompted so I could grasp what I was in for and what to expect. Told me the worst case scenario (needing to send it elsewhere for further repairs), but made it clear they'd do everything they could. Reminded me of any possible costs and double checked that I was okay with them. Never made me feel like I'd be left high and dry (which would've been fair; they fix phones, they don't perform magic, and I'd essentially sent it to the Shadow Realm). As a bonus, the guy who helped me was really polite about the privacy of my phone. Let me key in the password and double checked that I was okay with him entering any apps to confirm the functionality of the phone - even when going into Settings. Was super thorough and dedicated to making the phone 100% again, even when I admitted I was willing to just take a phone that could send texts, make calls, and receive emails. Friendly, calm, professional; that was exactly what I needed when looking at my year-old, $900 investment and control hub of my life, sitting possibly dead on the counter. Went to kill time for another 15 minutes. When I came back, he had it all patched up and gave me a rundown of the final fixes. Noted that one or two minor glitches did happen (battery level fluctuated some), but gave me the option of fixing that then (maybe unnecessary) or coming back if there was an issue with a $10 discount on replacing the battery. Never pressured me to buy anything else and was very frank about the state of my phone. I was in and out in an hour and a half, tops. I came in with a phone that probably needed a full replacement. Walked out with a fully functional phone that had a new screen, a few circuit repairs, and other minor tweaks that had it living life again. $100-ish dollars in total, on the weekend, less than three hours after I'd TOTALED the thing. I'll recommend these guys forever, and you won't catch me upgrading to a new phone again just because something is wrong with my old one. This place works miracles!

The battery I purchased from General Power, which btw, was an initial favorable experience, failed…read morefive months later, under warranty. And, I was absolutely appalled at the 180-degree turnaround in the owner, Mike's behavior towards me when it came time for my reimbursement. Per his employee, Shaun I was to receive a credit of my entire invoice. Not only did Mike short me $40 on that invoice, but I had to pay an additional $35. to go elsewhere. Out of pocket total? $75. Attempting to offer Mike the benefit of the doubt, I drove to General Power, not once, but twice to accommodate Mike. General Power's online presence stated they were open, but doors were locked when I arrived that first time, Friday afternoon. Got photos to prove it, too. Since it is my word against his, all I can say is that I do not lie. My philosophy is: DO THE RIGHT THING. Since they were closed the first time, I had to venture there again to check on the true story of the battery. And yes, it was a defective battery. His excuse to not reimburse me fully? ''Life is not always fair''. Irrelevant is what I say to that. I'll remember that one next time I'm running a bit short on cash for my cell phone bill! It's a moot point. Show. Me. The. Money. MY MONEY. My primary reason for this review lies in Mike's inability to have open communication. While attempting to discuss the issue, he abruptly hung the phone up on me... raising his voice and even addressed me as "Hey Lady". That was special. I don't like anybody being taken advantage of, so I called back. After his berating hesitated for a few seconds, I politely asked if I could speak. Mike would not have it and aggressively stated that I was not allowed to talk. Hang-up #2. I went up and beyond the call of duty to support a LOCAL businessman. His angry tirade was not what I would expect from an experienced owner of a company. A final note, the 3% bank fee for the partial reimbursement proved to be a difficulty on Mike's part... they told me to come back a THIRD TIME (yes, true story!) or they could mail me a check. I refused. Maybe that's why he's so mad. Remind me- who is the customer?

I also have used them for my personal battery needs, specifically car batteries. When I have an issue, I bring it to them to test. Mike and his employees are very knowledgeable. When my wife's car battery was having issues, they were quick to troubleshoot and ended up doing quite a bit of wire replacement to get all the corrosion resolved. The work was done quite well and the car works perfectly. Mike freely shares his knowledge and will let you know how to take care of a battery properly to get the most life out of it. His price is right, product is good, and he's a local guy whose been in business for a long time. I recommend General Power to anybody who asks and will continue to do so.
