Unbelievably great service. Normally I would just head to an auto parts store, grab a battery,…read moreswap it out, then go back and return the core. But, as long as these guys are around I'll let them take care of it!

This Interstate Battery warehouse distributes to auto repair shops and tire stores in the area, so…read morethey usually have every BCI size in local stock. They carry 3 grades of lead/acid batteries, 2 grades of AGM batteries and Optima spiral-wound batteries - I doubt that there's a better selection in the Fresno area. Interstate stocks Toyota-labeled batteries (essentially the same battery with a black housing) for all the Toyota/Scion/Lexus dealerships. I'm not certain, but my mechanic says that Honda/Acura batteries are also Interstate-distributed. About the Interstate Brand: over 95% of all replacement starting auto batteries sold in the US are made by three companies: Johnson Controls, Exide Technologies and East Penn Manufacturing. So regardless of the label on the battery or the sign on the store front, these three companies pretty much dictate what products are available to the buying public. And the days of a starting battery reliably lasting more than 5 years are gone. That being said, Interstate batteries - which are currently made by Johnson Controls - rate in the upper end of reliability for lead-acid batteries. Not that they're great, just that there's little else out there that's better. My recent experience with this warehouse was excellent. Called 45 minutes before my visit and in-and-out in less than 10 minutes. Really awesome customer service. And their prices - while not Costco cheap - are still very competitive. Their large inventory means that I don't have to wait for back-ordered sizes or accept a battery size that will "sort-of" fit. Because there are factory-compatible replacements, they fit the battery box and hold-down assemblies of my Toyota truck and Lexus car without alterations.
