I heard about driven through facebook advertisement "Fit & Lean in 12 weeks transformation entry…read morefor first 15 people only" . I immediately filled a form .Immediately I scheduled my appointment with Marty and explained to him that I am vegetarian that time he hasn't said anything against vegetarian. At that point he welcomed me and I paid the 12 weeks fee which was lot of money for me but I thought if I could get my perfect body again then its fine. I am friendly happy person who love to enjoy every moment of life. I was always regular 6 days a week. Initially it was difficult for me because I never worked with Heavy Dumbbells , Pull ups bar, Back and front squats with bars and many more things but still I was satisfied because I was trying hard and learning new workouts. Soon within 3 to 4 weeks I could do most of the things without an excuse but that time one incident happened with one instructor as she has been rude to me and I am a sensitive person I cried then and there itself . Instead of checking the fact Marty just scolded me saying this is not your fun place and I said I am here to have fun. I felt really bad since then I was working out with Bri. She is my favorite at Driven. Bri is considerate and flexible. She motivated me to finish up exercise. I just keep on working out without paying any attention to other rude instructor and I let go unpleasant incident. All this while they haven't provide any Vegetarian diet plan, they had no clue about vegetarian diet plan and then as they failed they blame me. After that week or so I wanted to tell Marty or Kari I wont be in state for 2 weeks. I also wrote a message but did not receive any reply. I went there to book appointment with Marty . Instead of meeting me he gave me rude reply via text saying extension cannot be given. In text message he said "look Kate we are not the right fit for one another. I wish you all the best in your fitness journey and hope you will find great gym you can call home. I will meet you and explain why I am making this decision because I think it's only fair that we let you know why we are not going to have you back . We are not obligated by our contract to extend it for any time missed. So if you like to meet I will gladly put you in my schedule there will be no extension or new contract " I was shocked with his response and had no clue what I did to deserve such a rude reply. I was always regular , happy , energetic person but such discourteous treatment They should know in service industry politeness is a key and no one will pay them to insult themselves. I regret joining Driven I will consider it to be my biggest mistake. Marty ended the relationship in such bitter way that I would never wish to see his face again.

What I really admire about Donna's training is that she will push you just enough to where she knows you can handle it. So many gyms I've been to, trainers have pushed to add more weight and it just leads to me getting injured. Donna is a great balance of challenge without injury. Highly recommend giving this place a shot-first class is free!

Also like Rachel's class, but the time interferes with another class that I take. The Zoom classes are very convenient and well taught. I don't even have to watch it, just listen to Thomas' very specific instructions. His yoga has helped heal every injury I've had. Broken leg, 2 broken wrists, hip joint problems, and kept me healthy since he opened his studio. Much more so than physical therapy or Dr recommendations. Recently drum, gong, and singing bowl sound meditations have been added approx. monthly. Love those too and wouldn't miss them for the world.

I met Thomas many years back when he was just teaching and now he owns the studio. He is very nice to work with but I prefer a more vigorous work out without high impact and Lucien offers the perfect balance. I get a great workout without impacting my "old" joints. He helps my neck and low back pain issues as well. I like Ji Woo's sessions as well but it doesn't fit my schedule. It wasn't easy to find at first because signage was not helpful at first, but the studio is in the back of an office building and you would miss it if the sign was not outside. I don't know the other teachers but everyone has their own needs and I would definitely recommend trying the studio out.

I cannot believe the other reviewer had positive things to say about Mac! My review is QUITE the…read moreopposite. I went to Niyama on week nights almost 4 days a week this past summer when I was living in the suburbs. Almost all of the teachers I had on week nights were amazing, kind, patient and everything a good yoga teacher should be. The studio is clean, inexpensive (especially if you're a student) and relaxing. If my rating were based on the weeknight classes only, my rating would be much higher. I made the mistake, however, of attending a few of Mac's classes on the weekends. Mac owns the studio- and therefore, I thought it would be a great experience since I loved the studio so. How wrong I was. Upon the first class I attended Mac made it a point to humiliate a student in class because he wasn't doing a backbend correctly. I decided to write it off as a fluke and attended her class again the following weekend. I realized that it was not a fluke. Mac was obnoxiously phony throughout the entire class and brought a condescending teaching style, constantly showering her students with demeaning comments instead of the uplifting inspirational attitude that you so often find in yoga. The final time I visited Niyama, I made the mistake of not checking the schedule beforehand and Mac was unfortunately teaching. During a posture that I find very difficult, Mac came up to me and said (loud enough for everyone to hear) that I should be in the back of the room because I clearly didn't know what I was doing. When I said that there was no room, she rolled her eyes and snapped "There's plenty of room!" I was furious and humiliated! Though I loved so many of the other teachers I refused to go back after that and support a studio owned by a person like this. When I decide to go to yoga I expect a comforting and uplifting experience led by teachers who foster a sense of support and community. When I told my story to a few other students I realized I was not alone in my sentiments. Others told me of similar situations they had either experienced or witnessed. Mac has no business owning a yoga studio and treating her students this way. If you do decide to attend Niyama- opt for a class taught by any of the other teachers, unless you want to leave feeling badly about yourself and your practice.
