I've been going here, twice a week, for a year. This is the longest I've stayed with any fitness…read moreplan. At 65, I'm the strongest I have been in my life. And my wife thinks I look pretty good, so there's that, as well. The workouts are fast (less than 25 minutes) but leave you feeling like you've just had one of the most challenging workout. Kevin, Jim, Nate and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, encouraging and professional. The studio is clean and organized.

Since I joined the Exercise Coach four months ago, I am healthier and stronger…read more After a referral from my sister, I met Coach Kevin for a session and immediately knew this method would work for me. I like the data-driven approach of a 20-minute session. Compared to the previous weight lifting and cardio exercises I did, Exercise Coach has been much more effective in the same four-month time period. Utilizing the data-driven targets keeps me focused and they challenge me to keep getting stronger, unlike most other gyms or fitness centers. The transformation for me has been not just physical but also mental. I knew when I began, I needed to lose fat and build muscle because I wanted to be stronger. A few weeks in, I joined the Metabolic Comeback Challenge and roughly lost 2% fat and gained the same in muscle in 30 days! Excited about this, I set additional goals including the monthly loss of 1% fat and a gain of 1% muscle. By focusing even more on nutrition and using the data to more effectively change my body composition, I have increased my strength and this anchors me mentally. I am more and more committed to this new body as I see less fat and more muscle! The overall studio environment is extremely appealing. Even when there are a few clients in the studio there is plenty of space and all equipment is immediately cleaned after use. My coach provides helpful tips and checks on nutrition progress, as well as my overall well-being. I told Coach Kevin recently that I am so grateful for Exercise Coach, especially for the accountability. If you are looking to get in shape with a structured and supportive program Exercise Coach is the way to go!

I attended a Gong Immersion event at Avani Studios at Sky Fitness…read more A gong immersion, or gong bath, does not involve water but instead being immersed in the sound vibrations of a gong, believed to be healing to the body by entering a relaxing or meditative state. I knew what to expect because I had attended a gong bath many years ago. That experience had me falling asleep, experiencing synaesthesia, seeing explosions of light, color and sound, as well as feeling very peaceful and relaxed. This immersion was held in the yoga studio and was at capacity. You set down a mat, and other blankets, with feet in the direction of the gong. (This event had five sound healers and gongs). We started with some stretches and yoga. Then you lie down, palms up, legs uncrossed and listen. It's hard to describe the sound. It's deep, almost like a rumble, kinda like the cymbals, but more than just hearing, I also felt it in my pulse. With five gongs it's almost like a symphony with sounds and vibrations building on top of each other but you don't just hear it coming from the direction of your feet, it seems to be coming from every direction, immersing you in vibration. At this point I went in and out of sleep and certain sounds made my limbs twitch. One certain sound seemed to jolt me awake and I saw yellow or green pops of color (my eyes were closed). After that, I started to get restless and could not stay still and needed to stretch. I think at that point I had enough and it was maybe 10 minutes more (the total gong portion was 75 min?). I felt very tired (perhaps extremely relaxed?) and calm, my eyes were tearing (???), and we then had a short deep breathing and meditation. The gong practitioners were lovely, beautiful souls who promoted peace and healing. I felt at peace and in a more refreshed state of mind than when I started. I would attend another of these events but next time I would bring more blankets.
