This is a great place to work out. Lots of machines, clean, towels provided and most of the time enough of parking. Carefully pick your trainer if you get one. My first session they didn't know I was scheduled and the guy went to lunch. About 15 min later another trainer comes up during my workout and says she can take me now because there must have been some confusion in her partner's schedule. I think he went to lunch and didn't even look at his schedule which is unacceptable to me. The second one showed up, very nice however didn't do what I asked. If you want machines, yoga or no machines be very clear. I wanted machines and the trainer had me rolling around on the floor, throwing a medicine ball and balancing on a ball. Very frustrating and they would not give me my money back, so I had no choice but to go with another trainer. I would never go with another trainer in there. read more

Just finished a personal training session with trainer Dana, absolutely amazing! As a plus size girl who loves lifting heavy and wants to loose weight it can be uncomfortable trying to work out with someone who doesn't get it but Dana does! I went online to Bearsfit.com and signed up for a 3-day pass by entering my information. I even received a text from Brendan confirming that I could come in the next day and he would honor the pass -- he just needed a bit more info from me. After work, I went out of my way to stop by the gym, Brendan wasn't there and I couldn't find was only to be denied access because I don't live in the area, even though I clearly work in the area. I explained this and still wasn't allowed in. This experience was disappointing and misleading. If there are restrictions, they should be clearly communicated before someone commits their time and effort. Do better. read more

our whole family goes to bears to fit and it isn't cheap considering that there is 6 of us. This place was great until management changed, this place is getting worse by the day. 5 days in row no towels, the men's sauna is never working the reason is someone put water on, solution build something that wont break daily, it's not rocket science. The cans throughout the gmy are usually empty of wipes and full of garbage. Then they want to charge you $3.50 more a month. To many people that are getting paid to do nothing. The manager or managers sit in office and do what? This place use to be great with no issues. If you say something to someone you get some nonsense answer, bottom line no one cares. Bob has been my trainer for about 2 years. He is very knowledgeable and listens to my needs. He also listens to my bad dad jokes and has a great sense of humor. Bob showed a lot of concern when I had some health issues late last year and early this year. His exercise plan was developed so as not to exacerbate those issues. Bob is also flexible when I have travel plans in order to schedule make-up sessions. I would highly recommend Bob as a trainer. Overall there is a lot of needed improvements to the facility. Not enough variety in gym equipment across all areas of the body. The equipment isn't now quite dated and not well maintained leading to weight to be inaccurate and the machine to just not feel smooth Smelly locker rooms from time to time Staff not really empowered to address issues. I mentioned the weight inaccuracy to someone there and he said thanks "nothing I can do about it" which is total bs... if you're making money you can do something about it. In terms of the pros, the manager was nice and personable and the overall concept / layout is pretty cool. But they need to reinvest in their offering. If you're coming off Lifetime Fitness you will be disappointed. read more

BEWARE! Extremely sketchy management and operation. The turnover of workers there is frequent, and they're not well organized or trained. Like many of the reviews have stated, it's extremely poor management and it's reflected in everything from the broken equipment, rude and incompetent staff, lack of consistency. They're billing department is in Texas and are not reachable, unresponsive. My credit card was charged multiple times, months after cancelling a membership. I heard from other members they had similar experiences. It's not a coincidence it's a scam and fraud. My bank's legal team is now looking into them as well. Don't risk your money here. read more

I had signed up for 2 year one time membership with a guy named David , which he stated included recovery room - hydro massage. They allowed me to use it for at least 5-6 times . One day when I came to use it the manager named Tyler(who had a real bad discriminatory attitude me being a minority ) said you do not have recovery room facility!! When I said I was promised the same by the guy who sold me the membership he was rolling his eyes and callously stated the guy who sold me (David) does not work there anymore and if you need to use you will have to pay $29 extra a month !! He said since the guy who sold me the product doesn't work there anymore thus he cannot honor what he promised !! He would not even give me the contract print out saying his system is down !! I told him this is fraudulent business practice. He didn't care. Bottom line is, I WOULD NOT SUGGEST ANYONE GO TO BEARS FITMNESS AS they can DEFRAUD YOU !! It's ok. There are a lot of amenities, but there is also the notable exception of the ability or awareness to lubricate the guides on anything with a cable, such as lat pull downs, cross-over cables and seated row. I've twice mentioned this to staff. The first person explained he's pointed it out to the manager, with no action taken by the manager. The person I spoke to tonight vacillated between explaining he didn't know what to do about it and that they outsource maintenance. (hint: you thank member for bringing it to your attention, tell him it will be addressed, and do it.) If you can't do the simple things right, what else isn't right? read more

The atmosphere is great...a lot of the machines are old but still work ok...time for an update with new machines and more options...this gym could easily be a 5 star experience just needs some new equipment...not enough choices for back machines or chest machines...the leg machines are ok but they are really lacking in the back and chest departments...also the staff is pretty mediocre...most of the time it seems like they're just standing around doing nothing when there's tons of work that needs to be done like towel cleaning and picking up weights from people that don't clean up...overall decent gym for the money but could be much better read more

Made the move from xsport a few months back. Overall a great gym with great equipment. Most gyms are being overcrowded by so many high schoolers now. Recently, my friend and I had a terrible experience with a younger gentleman. All I have to say is management took the report serious. They didn't brush it off and got to the bottom of it. After being there for a year now, it feels like the gym is getting a bit run down. There are always 1-3 pieces of equipment that are out of order and unusable, and a lot of the vinyl on the seats/benches is cracked and worn throughout the facility. We absolutely love this gym!!! Very spacious and a lot of equipment so even at the peak hours, you can still use what you need. It has a large turf area that has more equipment and classes on. We were sold at clean everything is and the different classes they offer. I love the spin class and different HIIT classes. They also offer hot yoga and barre classes. The gym also has a recovery center that has a lot of different services like tanning bed and massage chairs. There is also a juice bar to get a good smoothie after a workout. They do have a 4 day free pass that you can try out before signing up. read more

Top Gym for weight training, cardio and group classes with top equipment for a reasonable price. The staff is super friendly, helpful and welcoming. Some machines like the abductor machine or abs machines are not arranged in a more reasonable way and some of the extreme white ceiling lights are right over the bench press equipment . Overall well equipped with a large variety of weight training machines and conditioning tools. I would give 5 *, if they had at least 2 different sets of Barbbells ( needs a bench press of better balance and quality, the bars are ok for deadlift). Oh and I don't understand, why a gym membership, that is on a month to month basis is collecting an annual fee for other services. Otherwise defiantly 5 stars. read more

I've researched a lot of gyms in the area and used some of the more expensive ones. Beats Fit seems like the perfect price point for good quality without breaking the bank. Locker rooms are fairly well kept. The gym is extremely spacious, classes are offered daily, there's plenty of equipment to go around, and the recovery machines are super awesome - particularly the cryotherapy (extra charge to use the recovery stuff). The Bears aesthetics will draw you in, and the 60$ monthly price point will walk you right out the door. It's not that 60$ is too steep for a gym membership, but the value you get for your money here is actually not that great. Lifetime is literally 3 minutes down the road and I'm paying 90$ a month, but you actually get the full value of your money there ( Hot tubs indoor and outdoor, Heated pools, rock climbing, sauna , steam room ect ). I was hoping this gym would be better and I could cancel my membership at lifetime to save 30$ a month, but that just wasn't the case here. The gym is pretty nice but a bit overpriced and nothing special. I'm giving them 1 star because of their cancelation policy. In order to get out of you membership, you have to come in, in-person, between 8-4 (or whenever there happens to be a manager present) in order to cancel. So, basically you have to take off work and hope someone is there that can help. I went twice during those hours and they said there was no manager there... after I called to verify. This gym is amazing. Staff is extremely helpful. I just moved to the area and needed to find a new gym. To be honest I didn't pick the gym because of the Bears ( I am die hard New England ) but it popped up on the Yelp as a new & hot location. The staff is extremely helpful and the facility is beautiful. Everything is clean and all the equipment is brand new. They have done a great job with this space. They have group classes, yoga studio, recovery center and much more. Small detail that I loved is that they use combination lockers in the locker room so no need to bring your own lock. Probably the best gym I ever been to! All new equipment, latest machines, indoor field, punching bags, and everything Chicago Bears!! I even ran into Alex Brown!! I also like how all the equipment is nicely spaced from one another. All the staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. They have a kids room with enough to entertain them for a couple hours. Tv's everywhere!! I'm so glad they open here. What more can I say? Right now they have a special going on with $0 enrollment fee and offer 4-day passes if you want to try it out first. This is a great, impeccable facility that is one of the best I've ever worked out at but unfortunately their membership policies make it harder for me to recommend it. I was in town on holiday and offered to pay every day to come in and they flatly refused me and my money and sent me packing. Earlier a staff member had generously let me visit, to their credit, but they chose to hold the line, and try and sell me on constantly starting and stopping my membership despite being out of state most of the year, which I explained to them. This is a great health club but this was inexplicably inflexible and stubborn customer service and poor policy that lost them money. read more
