I went to her studio after I fell, injured my back and was in pain. She tailored Pilates exercises for my case (overweight, out of shape, middle aged) and helped me overcome my fear of exercising. This location is small but exactly what you need. This new, fabulous studio located right in the heart of the Lincoln Park on Armitage, is a find! A refreshing spot with equipment and mat classes. But, the real gem is the actual teaching. Rachel has a dance background and you can tell with her diligence and attention to detail (I *highly *highly* highhhhly* recommend doing a solo class with her on the equipment-- you may notice different muscles working than what was working at previous studios). She's precise and you can feel a difference. And while she may be technical and focused in on your doing the exercises correctly, she's also fabulously sweet and friendly. I also like the process they follow - starting with the basics. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment but it is well worth it. Heather (owner/trainer) is a terrific coach. She definitely knows her stuff. After my surgery, she worked with me to carefully build my strength back up. It was slow but I was confident that she would get me to where I need to be and beyond.
