The facility itself is bright, spacious, and always spotlessly clean. It has a variety of equipment that allows the therapists to focus on whichever body parts need attention. All of the staff members are open and friendly. Of particular note is Luigi, the owner. He is clearly genuinely concerned that every TFI client has an excellent experience. They reached out to me the next day, and my appointment was confirmed over the phone for 1/28 at 6:30 pm when they reached out to me. I left work early (over an hour from the North suburbs to the north side of Chicago) to make the appointment at FIT institute at 6:30 tonight and I got a call from them, around 6:15, asking if I'm running late to my appointment at 6pm... I called them back, explaining that I was on the way and my appointment was for 6:30, per my first interaction. They put me on hold for a minute and then came back and said that no, they were so sorry, but they didn't have a 'therapist on site' for an appointment starting at 6:30 tonight and would love to reschedule. No thanks.

The search for a Pilates studio to fill the void after the closing of Soulistic has been hit or…read moremiss to say the least and I'm reconciled to the need to kiss a few frogs before finding a worthy successor. To be fair, my parameters- no Lincoln Park studios, instructors who won't eat a Subway breakfast flatbread in front of me while I'm doing my hundreds, etc.- are fairly stringent. I'm happy to report that my recent private Pilates session at CRNP has cast a more favorable light on my experiences. First of all, I give kudos to the instructors/reservationist for accommodating my same-day request to change my appointment. I was not able to come in at 10 am as scheduled and was graciously slotted in at 12:30 pm. This was accomplished free of any drama and speaks well to the level of customer service here. As to the studio itself, I felt comfortable going in, as I know the area. The loft like space is open and spacious. This might be a different story once the room gets filled up for a group class, but I didn't feel at all crowded during my one-on-one session. In addition to the traditional Pilates setup, there is Gyrotonic/Gyrokenetic equipment on offer. I am eager to try this, as the number of studios that boast these offerings is limited. So far, the only ones I have seen have been in NYC and London. I look forward to taking a class here in the near future and will certainly report back. I was pleased with the Pilates instruction and had no difficulty when it came to payment/scheduling. The only slight hiccup was experienced this weekend, when I went online to try to book a group class through the studio's mind-body scheduler. One of the classes indicated that I needed to take a prerequisite, which seemed odd, seeing as how I now have several mat and equipment-based Pilates classes under my belt. I decided to sign up for a stretching/mat class a week from now so that I may continue my observation and see whether this is a studio that I will be sticking with.

She has helped me for almost 3 months…read morethrough a pretty serious herniated disc in my lower back and the bonuses: sciatica and plantar fasciitis. Not only has she taught me many ways to build back up my strength, but shared a ton of new ideas to strengthen my core, etc. to manage this back injury moving forward. Via in person, emails AND print outs. Meredith makes my sessions fly by bc she chats with me and kept up a positive attitude of how I WILL get back to being my active self...but that I needed to learn that slow and steady really is the way to do it. I cannot say enough great things - you must go see her. You will not be disappointed and it will be so worth your time and money/insurance co-pay. Joni and Sally are also amazing! They were super communicative, helpful and patient with my insurance paperwork (read: delays) and were always rooting for me to get better. I came in here a couple of months ago in crippling pain and almost unable to walk. Having had hip…read moreand knee issues in the past, I chalked it up to overuse/weak joints. Meredith, the PT, was efficient and able to see me right away. At one of the sessions, she used an ultrasound machine that I was almost tempted to buy for my own home, it was that good. The exercises were well explained and I like having the emailed video that I can turn to as a refresher. The main draws of this location, at least for me, are proximity (walking/limping distance from my condo) and the relative privacy of the treatment rooms. Postscript: I later found out that the source of my pain was a fractured femoral neck. Hard to believe that I had been walking around on it for almost a month, not to mention doing my assigned exercises faithfully. The PT needed to be tabled in favor of more aggressive treatment (surgery and pinning). Here I will note that Meredith made a point of calling me after my surgery, to see how everything was going. Considering that we had only had a few sessions before I received my diagnosis, I would definitely say that this level of caring and concern went above and beyond. If I need physical therapy in the future, I will definitely be including this place on my short list of options, and do not hesitate to recommend it to either the dedicated athlete or weekend warrior in need of strengthening and rehabilitation.

I had a very bad…read moresprain from the summer that I had yet to bounce back from and kept enduring constant pain, to the point that I stopped going to my fitness classes. I called in and made an appointment & I'm so glad I did! Their schedules are pretty flexible and after going in three times the first week I immediately felt the difference! I highly recommend Lauren and if you're into hitting pressure points with needle therapy that's also an option. The sessions are all geared to get you doing what you were doing before. You get a routine you can do at home in between visits. The physical therapy are in a communal gym time setting, but don't be scared of socializing, everyone is super chill and friendly but not uncomfortable friendly.
