The reception area is functional and extremely beautiful. There are many amazing locations for beautiful sunset portraits too! Not only is the venue amazing, but the owners make the experience all the better! Mick and Lisa were so involved in making sure our day was just how we pictured it. You are not treated as a couple getting married, but rather as a part of their family; this sets them apart from all the other venues we visited and had solidified our choice before we had even seen the whole place! Bowling was $13/person/ hour and includes shoe rental which isn't a bad price. An hour is too long for my little kids though and they don't sell any shorter intervals or price per frames. The wedding itself was flawless! I think mostly due to the family and friends helping, which is why I give 4 stars. Family was making table centerpeices a few hours prior and staff were on site but no help. I am not much of a wedding venue expert, but ... I just expect more from a very expensive country club than pay us, here's the venue... good luck. As part of the wedding party we were at the venue starting at like 1pm for a 5pm wedding and i just didn't really see anyone from the venue much. I would just think they'd have more of an interest in the wedding going smoothly, but ... again, I'm not a wedding venue expert. The venue itself was fine, outdoor bar was cool. The beauty I think came from the table-scapes, which was designed by the bride and put together by the family, again, why I give 4 stars. Reception was fine... put on by the venue. Room was really nothing special, not decorated or anything pretty. The food was good. The bar was tiny and in the back, hard to get to when there's a decent amount of people. Overall, I think they could have done more, been more present and really went above and beyond, which... from my perspective they didn't.

This is a nice country club although bit cramped for large events in terms of parking. I think you can find this in most local Central Ohio country clubs as they only have so much space. Everyone is coming and they don't realize country clubs don't hold that much space for guests in terms of parking. I guess I will have to come back to try Cimi's Bistro. I'm sure there are more amenities at this country club with those who have membership here. It must be lovely. I will be back soon.

While I understand that double-bookings do occur, it was the manner in which it was handled that really soured us to this venue. Shari left a voicemail to tell me she was cancelling our reservation. She chose to not call me in person and tell me and offer me any alternatives. I saw that she had called when i was driving home, so I called her when I got home. Instead of telling me, she wanted me to listen to the voicemail. It wasn't until I insisted (because she was acting so strange on the phone), that she did tell me she was cancelling our reservation. They offered no other options. After pressing her, she did offer to pay for my postage because we now had to mail out another 100 invitations with a new venue. When I requested reimbursement for the postage, they emailed me back and required I submit: 1) copy of the original invitation with their address; 2) a copy of the new invitation with the venue; 3) proof of mailing, and 4) proof of the cost of the postage. SERIOUSLY??? They were the ones who messed up and yet treated us like we were trying to cheat them out of money. Finally, their own contract states that the deposit will be applied to the rental fee: "This deposit is not refundable and will be applied to the agreement fee for the use of the space" Shari told us that the deposit is NOT applied to the total fee and it is kept for "cleaning" - directly opposite of what their own contract states. These folks are not on the up and up!
