Second, they have a great outdoor area with fire pits and plenty of room for activities after the wedding (cornhole and the like). Third, there is a great patio area and the barn itself, which equals out to two great seating areas for guests. Lastly, tons of parking in a gravel area for guests. My only gripe is that it gets super hot inside the barn and the area would be greatly improved with more ventilation and fans. In sum, highly recommend this venue for couples that want an outdoorsy wedding!

Not enough people RSVP'd for an actual party that night so we all bought our own tickets (adult tickets are $15 Thursdays, $25 other days) and met up there. Street parking is available but watch for signs to make sure you aren't parking somewhere that needs a pass. If you can't parallel park, maybe have someone drive who is comfortable doing it. In total, 10 people showed up including a child in a wheelchair. Our tickets were for an hour but I believe we took about 2 hours; there were maybe 4 other people we saw during that time so the owner didn't rush us out. The business has around a dozen themes and several walls with fun graphics and lights. It was easy to start our way in the back and work towards the front. Or you could start on the left or right and work your way around the U shape. It was a really fun way for us to be silly, take photos, and make good memories.

Event Source fulfills some kind of strange, sick need within my soul…read more I'm one of those people who daydreams about setting tables. Weird but true! In Event Source, I can play with the table settings to my heart's content. Whenever I have cause to be in here, I literally look at the options and try to dream up events where I can employ my fantasies. Those are some pretty strong feelings about tablecloths, eh?! Tablecloths, napkins, flatware, china, serving pieces, chairs, tables, the list goes on and on. You'd be really surprised what you can rent for your event! And boy, do I. For our wedding, I liked the linens that came with the venue, but we punched up the tables by adding a different napkin and a table runner. For the more "VIP" tables we changed out the tablecloth and napkin, and added chargers. Doing the whole room would've been a little too spendy, but with Event Source, we could very effectively make our wedding look above-ordinary. I also used Event Source when I hosted Thanksgiving for 22 people at my house. I ordered all the china (I have some nice china, but man, who has 22 place settings?), which was super fun because of course I went with something I wouldn't have BOUGHT in that kind of quantity. Gold filigree for everyone! (Also, bread plates, gold handled flatware, gold rimmed water goblet and wine glass.) Napkins and tablecloths, too. A plate is, like, less than $2 to rent. Totally worth it. The best part -- didn't have to wash dishes! Yep, ES asks that you return them "dirty" (we rinsed at least). Same goes for linens. Just put 'em in the provided laundry bags. Do you know how long it would've taken me to launder and iron all those table linens?! It may have never gotten done. You can rent things in sets of 10 (some other items may have different quantities... Ask!). Think beyond the wedding. ES is a lifesaver (and a dreamscape) for other events as well! Customer service is top notch. Next time you're headed to ES, can I come?

As the tagline suggests, Michael's act is a combination of humor and magic - mocking magic while simultaneously impressing the audience with magic. Knowing that Michael also performed for corporate and other types of events besides university programming, I asked him to attend a Tweetup with about 100 people. He performed tricks during networking, and the crowd fell in love with him when he finally performed his act. A few months later when I was organizing a fundraiser, I used him as the main attraction - folks from the first event showed up eager to see him again as well as many new faces. I got tremendous feedback from his performance - and of course I loved it, despite having heard most of the jokes and seen the tricks three times, his act still makes me smile! Michael tours nationally throughout the year - he's heading to Korea in a few days to entertain the troops - but he lives right here in Central Ohio, so if you need an entertainer for your next event, call up the local boy :)

The quality of the production and the magic that was performed were both extremely professional and like something you would expect to see on television or in a live Las Vegas show. From a planning perspective, Michael was extremely easy to work with and willing and able to accommodate the Zoom format that we needed. He made preparation for the event so easy! The sandwich came out on a toasted brioche bun with the logo branded on it. The sandwich had a fair amount of pork on it but part was warm and part cold. It was chopped up well and had a nice smoky flavor to it. The Mac and cheese was a thicker style but needed a little more flavor to it. Baked beans had a more neutral flavor to them, they added a fair amount of pepper to them to help with flavor. Not bad at all. They were out of cornbread which being open just a couple of hours is unacceptable. I will give them a pass for this visit as they are obviously just getting on their feet. Hopefully it gets better.
