We had our daughters wedding here on aug 13th. This place and all the staff exceeded our expectations . I know it was my daughters wedding but I have never been to a place that took care of everything like the staff at flora and field. Joe and Theresa are awsome. Me and my now wife got married at Flora and Field last weekend, and we honestly could not have asked for a better all-around experience. Beautiful venue and the owners, Theresa & Joe (as well as the rest of the staff), were PHENOMENAL throughout the entire process. They were extremely accommodating (even welcoming us into their home on multiple occasions) and receptive to our needs, reiterating that no request was too big, and openly embraced any and all ideas we had, stressing that it was OUR day. After visiting many venues with strict "no pet" policies, we were resigned to the fact that we wouldn't have one of our closest family members in attendance at our wedding. Oh well, we knew it was a a bit out of left field and were used to being at mercy of black & white venue policies that had other couples sacrificing their wants in exchange for securing their requested date with other competing couples. After posing the same question to Theresa & Joe (and expecting a similar "No" response), they not only enthusiastically welcomed our dog, but made her a gorgeous floral collar that rivaled the flower count in most brides' bouquet. Yes, being primarily a flower farm ensures that you will receive only the highest quality of flowers. In a world where many couples might delay their wedding date to save up or go into debt to pay the premium prices most wedding venues charge, F&F is a breath of fresh air that the wedding industry so badly needs. From day one, we felt so comfortable working with Theresa & Joe, knowing that they share the same views that getting married to the person you love shouldn't cost an arm & leg, and should be sustainable without unnecessary waste. For instance, rather than spending hundreds on table settings/decor that we'd never use again or re-sell at a fraction of the price, we were able to choose from a wide variety of decor items that previous couples had generously donated. While completely voluntarily, we gladly were able to pass along a few of our decor items for other couples to enjoy for their special day. I will admit that I am not one that is typically inclined to provide feedback online (first time posting on Google/Yelp), but could not more strongly recommend the folks at Flora & Field. I cannot recommend Flora and Field enough. My wife and I chose this venue because it was cost effective, provided everything we wanted and we thought the owners were good, down-to-earth people. Joe and Theresa, the owners, worked so hard to make sure our day was perfect and it really showed on our wedding day. I could not have ever imagined a wedding going so smoothly (I used to work for a wedding planner, I've seen a lot of weddings go sideways) but Joe and Theresa made it happen. BUYERS BEWARE! THE VENUE OWNERS WILL DICTATE YOUR WHOLE WEDDING! The venue is gorgeous, and Morgan the wedding coordinator did a phenomenal job. But she was the only venue staff who respected the bridal party. As soon as they have you sign that dotted line on the contract, they turn into completely different people and make the brides life a living hell. For months my friend had to deal with them making up false information that was never in the contract. And then they wouldn't speak to her for extended periods of time, but out of the blue tell her payments for different things were due that day. The owners care about no one but themselves, clearly if you lack emotional intelligence, the wedding business isn't for you. Now let's get to the wedding day! They controlled the entire event. As the bridal party was finishing up getting ready and doing a final look with our bride, the owner storms in the room screaming at the bride for how "late" she is. Clearly she doesn't know the wedding doesn't start till the bride is there... After we're quite literally pushed out the door, we show up to the ceremony so early people aren't even seated yet. Any minor changes the bride wanted to make, the staff would have a melt down and tell her she can't do that. I didn't know it was the venue owners decision for the bride to add in a father daughter dance??? And the groom wanted to walk down the aisle with his brothers, but they claimed that's not appropriate? Also, the best mans 2 year old picked one of the flowers at their FLOWER FARM and they tried to kick out the whole family and threaten not to give them their damage deposit back. After the all-day dictation, we got to the dance floor and Joe the owner just sat in a chair in the corner watching us all. It made us so uncomfortable. I could go on and on of how terrible these venue owners are, but I think these stories paint the picture. Please look else where for a beautiful barn venue! The base rate is astronomically high, you get nickel and dimed every step of the way. All that just for the owners to brag that some wedding parties spend $100k there... LOL not something to boast about in my opinion. Not to mention, the owners have now threatened to take legal action against the couple for people giving their honest review. Go to Google and your will see plenty other couples had the same experience. If the venue owner ends up reading this review, I highly consider you learn to be nicer human beings or get out of the wedding business. Leave the wedding day for Morgan to handle, and be normal venue owners and don't show up. read more

I'll start off by saying the venue is stunning, the property Is beautiful! Morgan the wedding coordinator was amazing and so kind and personable! That's where the positive feedback will end. This is going to be a long review but make sure you read so your big day isn't ruined and leaving you feeling taken advantage and disrespected! The owners are awful! Joe the husband is arrogant, rude, and made the guests at the wedding uncomfortable to the point a lot left and the ones who stayed asked him to stop standing in corners mean mugging everyone. Joe yelled at children for playing around their flower bed. Joe also went after a guest screaming at them. Joe ruined the entire evening for the bride and groom who paid good money to have a day/night they would always remember... but their money wasn't enough because it kept getting brought up how other couples spend way more and to them this was nothing....NOTHING! Just to rent the place with nothing else included is $12,000! And then they will nickel and dime you every step of the way. Came up to the father of the groom in the middle of the reception to say kids knocked flowers off their bush and it needed to be addressed right now and figure out how they were going to pay for it... when discussing the issues Theresa was told how much can this really be, they already spent good money on the venue, and the flower arrangements and Theresa response was... they didn't really spend that much we have couples who spend $10,000 on flower... The venue doesn't seem to be kid friendly During the ceremony or early on in the reception Theresa went back to the house you can rent and decided she was going to clean up after the bridesmaids that got ready in there. Mind you they were staying the night still that evening... and then said she might be charging for cleaning the house... excuse me but you can't charge clean up until they have checked out of the house! They don't seem to appreciate their clients at their lower price range. If your not spending what they think you should they will treat you like trash.. so if you have a $100,000 budget then this is your place and I'm sure they will bend over backwards for you. Bride and Groom beware! Don't let your special day get ruined by these terrible owners! The beautiful venue isn't enough to want to put up with these owners.. Lots of soon to be brides at this wedding who will now never book at this venue... and word of mouth is strong... it will travel like wild fire... read more

Joe and I got married here 8/21/21 and it was more than perfect! Such an AMAZING day! I wish we could do it one million more times. The staff truly care so much and it shows. Friends and family are still raving about how awesome everyone and everything was. It couldn't have been done without all the incredible staff and vendors involved. I am so glad we stumbled upon this venue a few years ago. Wouldn't have wanted our special day anywhere else. We went to a Sunday afternoon wedding there and had a great time. Evening wedding would have been more fun, because I think more people would have stayed longer and enjoyed the DJ. The whole venue was beautiful, the center room (Where we had appetizers) was a little warm not much breeze, but where we ate dinner was much cooler with a nice flowing breeze on a summer afternoon. The entire staff was wonderful and courteous. Joe and Theresa were fabulous, and made things go very smoothly. The setting is fantastic out in the middle of beautiful farm country (Huge Farms). Next to Deer Creek State Park for easy accommodations. The Lodge (Deer Creek) is older and in need of remodeling, but close and a great place to hang out with family and friends. Washington Courthouse was close enough for some good meals. The venue was run very professionally, and I had a fun time talking with the owners who bent over backwards and were very friendly. I am not sure about some of the bad reviews that I just read, but if you think you are renting out a hotel room and doing whatever you want, you are probably wrong. The owners have a huge investment and should treat it as such. Nobody in our group had any issues. Great place! Don't hesitate twice about this venue. 5 Stars all the way. My daughter was married at flora and field last Friday. It was the most magical experience not just for Madi and Aj ( the bride and groom)but all the guests as well. The morning after the wedding we woke up to messages upon messages from family and friends telling us what an amazing evening they had. We started the day at the bridal house where we walked into bouquets or flowers placed around the freshly cleaned house. We were immediately greeted by Hallie asking if she could get anything for us. It was a great morning getting ready in this beautiful space. We knew it would be convenient to get ready right on the venue property but we didn't realize just how relaxing and enjoyable that time spent would be. The lighting was perfect inside the house and outside the house is gorgeous with lush green landscaping making great photo backdrops. The ceremony was so well organized that we could just relax and take in this special time for our daughter and son in law. At the beginning of the ceremony it was storming but that was no problem. They quickly closed all the doors and the area became this cozy special space for the couple and all the guests. As the storm subsided they opened back up, everything was dried off, fire started and party began. The reception was absolutely breathtaking taking. It looked amazing! I never saw anyone standing. This staff works and works hard. They seem to take pride in their work and that is shown from the perfectly placed table settings to the bar tenders who are neat and clean getting drinks served up efficiently all night. We were checked on multiple times throughout the night to see if we needed anything. From start to finish the wedding was full of memory making magical celebrating. We will never forget this day and we are so thankful Madi and Aj got to have this experience for their wedding day! Thank you so much Theresa and Joe for your kindness and care for Madi and Aj. There are not enough words to say how amazing this venue is! Not only is it the most beautiful venue we visited, it offered the most for our money and we visited over 10 venues. On top of it being some place out of a fairytale (many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen) the staff was so kind and helpful through every step of the way . Our planner Hallie was so helpful in answering every little question I had and walking me through every detail . The owners might just be the best part, you can truly tell they love their jobs and take a vested interest in each couple. The day of my rehearsal and the day of my wedding they both were there helping with every step and you can tell their whole staff loves working for them. I was told by many of there employees that they are just the greatest people and I saw it first hand. Theresa and Joe truly made my wedding experience so stress free and magical. They blew my expectations out of the water I still get butterflies about how amazing the whole experience was. I'm sending every couple I know to them! read more

One star for the lovely venue but that is where I would draw the line for it. It really is a beautiful location, and the florist is amazing, as well as the other staff was pretty attentive and understand. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this venue to anyone due to the owner's overall attitude towards everyone. I was part of a wedding for my best friend and the entire experience working with them was subpar at best. Many times the owner had belittled and talked over the bride and groom and consistently forgot what the couple wanted or was requesting, putting in THEIR personal opinion as to what the venue was going to do, not what the couple was actually asking for. Many guests overheard the owner remarking on things she "did not like" or they "did not agree on" essentially bad mouthing the couple and making the bride specifically look like she was trying to break contract and manipulate the venue, when they were the one trying to manipulate the entire situation. There was also a lot of bad mouthing about and to the other contracted vendors while on site during the wedding as the venue owner didn't seem happy about any decision that was made. Overall the entire bridal party, couple, and their closest family members felt uncomfortable about the way the venue ran this wedding for their loved ones. read more

Flora and Field is the perfect wedding venue. From day one Theresa and Joe made us feel like family. They were genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple and had our best interest at heart from the very beginning. When we approached them about having a small intimate wedding (something they had not done previously) they were excited to try something different. Again, when I told them my vision was to have the ceremony in an area of the barn they had not had had a ceremony before, they welcomed the challenge. Never once did we hear "we can't do that", " we have never done that before so we aren't going to start now", or "that's not a good idea" as you might with traditional venues. They were always available to answer our questions and to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout the entire planning process. Their entire staff is equally as amazing. Presley was a huge asset to us and was always available to answer late night questions, made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed the day of the wedding, and kept the night on track and flowing smoothly. Melissa does an amazing job with florals and brought our vision to life after meetings and calls to ensure we were aligned on everything from bouquet size to colors. She even made a special flower collar for our dog who was attending the wedding. How many venues let you bring your dog? Flora and Field does! We also can't go without mentioning the beauty of the venue itself. It's breathtaking and every single one of our guests was blown away. We cannot thank Theresa, Joe and the entire Flora and Field team enough for making our wedding the perfect, most memorable day we could ask for.
