I've been here 2 times now, both times I have had a really bad razor burn. The last time, the person was blowing off his clippers with his mouth, getting his saliva all over them, then using them to cut my hair. This happened multiple times during my last hair cut. Well, it's been said a barber shop is only as good as it's barbers. I recently returned to what was a great place to get a haircut to find out my barber no longer was there. I tried the new guy who was far far more worried about getting cashed out for the day than he was cutting my hair. I was the last customer on a Friday and the new guy's ride was waiting for him in the car. I was so disappointed when I got home and really saw the 1/2 a haircut I received. Fortunately, I walked into another shop the next day and bought the other 1/2 of my haircut. Quoting the words of the second barber, "dude, who cut your hair halfway?". Ian gives a terrible haircut. Let me elaborate. This was my second cut from him. The first was about a month ago. My opinion of the cut was "good", but we'll fine-tune things on the second cut. New barber relationships are collaborative. So I walk in today for my second haircut with Ian. I was right on time. It's 10:30 AM. His second in command greets me when I walk in to ask if you have an appt. I replied "yup. With Ian" Ian was sitting in his chair in between me and the other guy who greeted me. He didn't look up from his phone. Hmm. Ok. I guess he's interested something important. So after about 30 seconds of standing I decided that I better take a seat on the couch. Eventually he got up and invited me to sit down. As I always do with any barber, just like the first time I went to this shop, I remind them of my scars on the back of my head. Then the cut begins. Within minutes - he effs off to fix his juke box. While this is going on his staff and some other heavy guy were pouring tequila and other stuff. Ian also had a glass (an "old fashioned" style glass) which had a small amount of SOMETHING in it. He says he has a medical condition and doesn't drink... ok. But folks in the shop WERE . At 10:30 AM. So he goes about chop chop chopping at my skull... and my spidey-senses started kicking in. There was a lot of fussing around back. As if re-spraying with water a super short haircut would make it grow back. So it's the end of the cut where the barber usually whips out the mirror to show you the cut. He does. But only from the front. Hmmmm. The barber ALWAYS spins the chair to hold the mirror to show the back. Not this guy... huge red flag. I paid, tipped, and left. The second I got in the car I took this photo to check things out. The picture says it all. hack job. I sent the photo immediately to him with a text. (See photos) Everyone has a bad day - but this was ridiculous. He didn't even admit to his mess when I texted him about it with a photo. I should've heeded the other bad Yelp reviews I read on this place. Never again. And neither should you. OH!!! I almost forgot. I had a haircut from my long-standing barber in LA in between the first one with Ian and this mess. I took a photo of the back/sides of my other haircut to show Ian the desired hair shortness. He had the nerve to look at it and scoff, "That's not my cut is it? Ya, I know it isn't. I'd never do that." Truer words were never spoken. Nope, he would "never do that" to my hair. He'd BUTCHER it instead. THIS JUST IN: Here's the owner, IAN's "response": 4/27/2022. HE REMOVED IT!! So I'm glad I cut and pasted his hxmoxphobic, and drunk, sounding "response" Just stop. Your comment will be buried like the rest. Keep in mind the comments before were before I owned it. Just don't come back. Got it? Your review doesn't mask the 5 stars we've had because I am straight and don't want to go out with you. Just remove this garbage or I can talk to your boyfriend that gets cut by me too. Maybe he actually was drunk this morning.... since just a few hours ago while I was in his chair I mentioned I've been married to my wife for 39 years. H0m0-bash much Ian? I'd seen the sign for this place for a while but hadn't stopped in till last year. I wish I had done it sooner. Now I come here and bring my two boys for their cuts too. The price is right and they do a consistent job. We get our hair cut by the same guy each time and he knows what we want. They have six chairs for cutting hair, but I've never seen more than 3 barbers at one time. I've never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes when I walk in. That being said, you can always make an appointment if you are worried about getting in and out by a certain time. They write their appointments right on their mirrors. read more

Amazing customer service! I have been a regular for a long time. I have always received a Great looking skin fade with a razor and hot towel. I honestly can't recommend this place enough. If you're looking for a quality barber look no further. My appointment times are always punctual. The place is always clean, All the barbers are very respectful. I wasn't able to get back to my "regular" barber back in OC, so I decided to try my luck out here in the desert. I figured what is the worst that could happen! I called and got a same day appointment with "Mo". When I showed up for my appointment, I found out "Mo" was short for Monique! I have to say my hair isn't necessarily easy to cut well, it kind of grows in uneven directions and has a life of it's own to tame. Easy to give a bad haircut, but a tad more challenging. It seemed to be a part old school/new school, Mo cut my hair with a little bit with electric clippers, but mostly cut with scissors; finished me off with a straight razor finish with a hot towel. She is definitely going to be my "go to" barber here in the desert, and who knows I may time it better to get a haircut before I head back to OC. read more

I have been going here for 4 years of which the first two years that I was a customer it was owned by Lay. All good, great haircuts and no issues until yesterday. After the first two years Lay sold it to Ian. Nice guy, cut my hair once while Lay was on vacation. Ian gave a price increase from $15.00 to $20.00 and that was fine and understandable. Then the latter part of 2021 Ian gave another price increase by putting a note on the front door. It's now January and I send a message to Lay for appointment and he text me back "cash only" ok Lay is only gonna be there a few months so I might do it? So I go yesterday knowing I have to pay cash and there was a cash only crayoned the door BUT the only barber wearing a mask is Lay. I should have left and was pissed and let Lay know it but he just works there.I decided to call Ian today and ask about his policy. He stated "we are all vaccinated and boosted and not sure what I'm talking about. Not sure what I want. I want you to follow the rules and take care of your clients.
