I've been on the hunt for a new barbershop for my five year old son as our previous place just wasn't doing his hair the way I wanted, multiple times in a row. I found TBL on Yelp (as one does) and decided to give it a try because it's close to home. Appointments are required, so I made one about two weeks out for a Sunday morning. It's in secluded area, with a nice big parking lot. The shop is clean and modern and very bright. Everyone here is super nice. Rae did my son's hair and she did a great job (next time I'm gonna ask for a little more off the back because that boy's cowlick is INSANE). He was super happy with the cut and so was I. It's definitely pricier than what we usually pay, but her attention to detail and overall patience with him was worth it. My onlyyy irritation was that we were running on a super time crunch that day and we booked our appointment for 10 as it says appointments were required. Rae let me know when we got there that she was running a little behind and didn't even start cutting my son's hair til 10:30. Eeeek. For all I know the situation could've been out of her hands (maybe her previous client was late, I don't know) so I was gracious about it, but I wish I would've gotten a text or something so I wasn't sitting there with my antsy five year old for half an hour before he was seen. This place is a hidden gem, fair prices for a great cut, place is clean with a nice but different vibe then your normal shop, I've been going to great clips for years and it's always a crap shoot with getting good haircuts.This place is a little pricey ($32 for cut) but that's the world we live in. I booked an appointment for a haircut and beard trim online, as requested by the business. The earliest available was on a Monday and, despite the times not being optimal for me, I took what they had available. 5-10 minutes after booking on the site, I received an additional e-mail confirmation from the business to confirm my appointment. I took time off of work to drive over there and arrived 15 minutes early. Walking out in the rain, I see that the door is still clearly padlocked. When I read the hours on the shop, it notes that they're closed Monday. I check my confirmations to make sure I didn't mess something up, but no, it was correct. My appointment was confirmed for Monday. So now I'm 15 minutes early for an appointment at a place that claims to not be open that day and stuck between a rock and a hard place. I decide to call to see if I can speak to someone or maybe get a recording on an answering machine that will clear things up, but they have several different numbers between their website, Yelp, and my email confirmation. None of them result in anything productive. This wasn't my first time here and it's also not the first time I showed up before anyone who worked there with the padlock still on from the outside, so now I feel obligated to wait for at least a period of time until after my appointment would start. I ended up leaving 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment after waiting for a total of 30 minutes (on top of commute time to take time off of work), so this was a really frustrating experience. It's now been more than 3 full days since this, and I figured at some point they would reach out to apologize and/or ask if I would like to reschedule, but I haven't heard anything. I enjoyed my previous experience here, but the value of my time is extremely high for me and this was a really rough way to make a customer feel awful. read more

I had such a great experience here, I walked in on a Sunday with no appointment just as a walk-in and I was able to get squeezed in for a cut. Damien took me on and all I had to do was wait an extra hour and it was worth it. We had a great conversation and learned more about the area and the business and how everything was formed together. Beautiful atmosphere and great energy and vibes with the staff there. My daughter's best friend who is a 25 year old mother of two babies took her 3 year old yesterday to get his first "barber's" cut. No prices were shared with her or posted! Fyi she had her 3 year old and 9 month old with her as she is a single mother. The barber charged her $60!!! Btw he already had short hair. It was literally a quick 10 minute trim! Totally ripped her off! $60!!!! It's Fife! The shop is located in an old run down strip mall! She literally walked in from the street since the apartment that she just moved into last week is behind the barbers. The apartments help low income families. She is a single mom who was totally taken advantage of. She is too timid to say something. So I am for her! This happened yesterday on June 1. On our way home today (6/2) from grocery shopping I stopped by and shared my disdain with one of the barbers who happened to be present yesterday when she had come in with the kids. He actually remembered her coming in, but did not cut her son's hair. Guess what? It doesn't matter! You all work there! You all should know better than charge $60 to trim a 3 year old's hair! You took advantage of a young mom. Shame on you!! You are not some high end barber shop in downtown Seattle or Bellevue! You are in a crappy strip mall in Fife! Don't ever do that again to someone! Packed schedule- worth the wait! Quality haircut, pleasant barbers, relax vibe - totally out weights the 30 minute delay. I will be back! Needing a last minute haircut for my son, I was able to find business hours, open reservation times, and booking needs all online in a matter of minutes. All of this is a huge plus for a super buy mom who wants to get things done without having to call and speak to someone directly. I booked the barber named Erick- based on Yelp reviews- and was completely pleased with the entire experience. My son and I arrived arrived about 10 minutes to reservation time, and were greeted immediately upon entering. Open floor plan concept, so Erick immediately knew we arrived. Every barber had someone in their chair, and all waiting couches were full. My son finally sat in the barber chair at a little after 11:30am (30 minutes behind). I am not great at describing guys cuts, but Erick listened to everything I wanted to accomplish and he produced great results. I was very disappointed with the Barber Lounge and Yelp my visit on October 17, 2020 turned out not too pleasant. I read the review and made sure it stated that I could do walk ins as I had my 2 Grandsons needing haircuts and I also checked the time they were open which was stated 10am. I pulled up at a little before noon and the place was dark and the sign in the window stated they opened at 10am. Also posted on the door "by appointment only" I was not happy and decided to leave a little message on their answering machine, imagine my surprise when someone answered the phone and when I turned my head I noticed I was talking to the lady in the car next to me! I did tell her they need to update Yelp and I noticed tonight they did do that. I was in search of a new barber, due to my old shop taking a turn for the worse. Came in, everyone was friendly and nice, hving a good time. The place is casual, but maintains a professional and clean look. Music choice is relaxing, seems to be mostly LoFi. Everyone was talking with each other and keeping the customers happy. My barbers name was John, and he helped me work out a cut that a lot of people have done wrong on me before. Turned out great, and I'll definitely be going back. The only con to this place is that it's off I5 by Fife, which can have absolutely terrible traffic at times. Definitely worth the traffic though. read more

Albert and his barbers are second to none, professional young barbers. I can say that he is constantly booked, one has to make an appoint at least two weeks in advance.
