I had an appointment for a haircut and when I showed up, no one was there. I waited outside in the cold for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come open up and no one ever did. Never got a phone call later or even an email apologizing. It seems like the place is on the verge of closing down. There is never more than one stylist in the place, and it feels like a ghost of what it must have been in the past. The only good thing is that this caused me to find a new stylist elsewhere, and actually found the best stylist I've had in years. I hate leaving bad reviews, but if anyone is considering making an appointment here, they should be wary.​ read more

Megan is back and I'm so happy about it! 5+ years ago when i started coming here I didn't really care who I saw as long I got an appointment quickly. One day a newer stylist messed up on my straight razor and Megan (who had a client of her own) stepped in and was able to fix the mistake and had great customer service about the entire situation. Since then I trust her not only as my barber but she's a great therapist, comedian, bartender, and babysitter all while making sure whoever is in the chair is getting a perfect cut! She knows what she's doing with all types of hair types and if you just trust her she might change it up but you will be walkin down the street gettin compliments for days! read more

Mandustrial looks like an old garage that's been refurbished to accommodate a hair salon for men. Sports on a TV, a few chairs for waiting and I was told you can get beverages to occupy your time waiting. So my son needed some attention to his hair and beard. Where to go? Mandustrial. The young woman was able to make a unkempt hair into a presentable hair cut. Nice. More expensive than say, your mall cheap cuts, but makes the guys feel better after getting a hair cut. read more

I cannot recommend this place. I called for an appointment on Tuesday. A gentleman answered the phone and put me down on the books for a Thursday afternoon appointment at 2 PM. I arrive at 1:30 to a shop that has no customers in it. When I go to check in, they cannot find my name on the reservations. The manager asked who I called, when I tell her I talk to a gentleman who was at home and put me on the books. She said I will have to yell at him for doing that. He did not put you on the books and there is nothing I can do as we are completely booked. Again when I entered, there was nobody in any chair, and nobody came in while I was trying to get services. I went in trusting they knew what they were doing. But the girl that cut my hair obviously didn't. She literally shaved up the back of my head to where I looked bald in the back with literally little pieces to comb over it was horrible & embarrassing. when I got home & figured it out I went back to complain & the manager said she would NOT give me my MONEY back or tip. Since I automatically tip every time. They didn't seem to care how upset I was & now it still hasn't grown back and it's been 3 weeks. I have to wait another month or two till my hair grows back there because it grows slow in the back. They also did not thin out my hair where it was thick on top or even me out. Worst haircut I've had in a longtime. They make it seem like it's a barber shop but it's more like a cosmetology place for men to drink a beer & hope they get a pretty girl that can pretend she can cut your hair & cross your fingers she doesn't mess up royally. Half of them are a step below average. If you don't know anything about a real haircut then by all means go ahead. I was greeted in a very rushed and unwelcomed way. I was told over the phone my stylists name, & upon arriving Faith did not greet me or shake my fiancé's hand when she asked if she was my stylist. The conversation Faith carried was beyond inappropriate, flirting and mentioning how she has been sleeping around when my fiancé is sitting in the lobby, I was very uncomfortable. The other staff made a mistake and called me a liar over some warm towels? I had to correct Faith's work twice because she was in such a rush and I felt I was not given the proper service I paid for. Wow! This was perhaps the single best haircut I've ever received in my life. I've never felt so pampered in my life from a hairstylist. My stylist, Lauren, was very meticulous and took her time to give me just what I wanted! If you have to wait, then I would suggest getting a beer, sitting down, or playing pool at their pool table. I do recommend scheduling an appointment in advance as opposed to doing a walk-in. I felt like the price was worth it and I will definitely be coming back here for my next haircut. read more

Yesterday, I attempted a walk-in, I knew it was a stretch so I was not disappointed to be told I couldn't get service. Made an appointment for today - showed up on time. Was told my barber was not available. No call, no text, just let me come in...pay for parking...spend my valuable time and prep for interview tomorrow. Won't be going back...some other issues - can't sign up on line, salon hours different on different platforms, not reliable. read more

The level of ability of stylists appears to be hit and miss. Kinda like a Supercuts with beer. I can do without the gimmicky beer. How about just guarantee a good haircut. I returned two days later to get the haircut cleaned up. The stylist also served up a poor beard trim (uneven)--I did not ask for that to be corrected. First time shame on you, second time shame on me. The owner bent over backwards to have the shoddy work corrected, hence the second star. My hair will grow back and I can try again at a different shop. I'll not return to Mandustrial. read more

My former barber left so I ended up having Cassandra cut my hair starting last Spring. I have been getting compliments after each cut since then. Somehow she is able to decipher my vague directions "... Short sides... I don't know what size guard, longish top...?" and give me a hair cut that has been spot on each time. I like that they have TVs for sports and beer and nuts available too. I will be coming back for a long time. It is impossible to say anything bad about this place. Ashlee is phenomenal, and hands down the best stylist I have ever met. I went to school at Gene Juarez academy, and I have been getting my hair done by a top-tier stylist my whole life, minus those "This hair place is cheap...OHGODINEEDTOGETTHISFIXED" moments that happened occasionally. That being said, my thoughts stem from this experience. The staff here knows what they are talking about, and they are not afraid to be friendly. More than the 'customer service friendly' that we are all used to, they make you feel like you have met them before. Ashlee looked at my hair, heard my description, and did a BETTER haircut than I have ever gotten. By anyone, anywhere, EVER. Her knowledge of how to style is top notch, and I doubt I will ever see or meet anyone this good anywhere else. Then there are the perks, like beer while getting your hair cut. This was my first hair cut in Tacoma. The environment and people were very cool and friendly. There was a lounge, pool table and beer or Red bull are offered. Ashley cut my hair and she was very friendly, and offered information on cool places to check out in the area. The highlight was the great shampoo scalp message. The hair cut on the other hand was very average. There were spots that I needed to fix after getting back to my room. Came across this place from a friend, and I'm pretty impressed. Very fair price for the hair cut, wash, scalp massage, and straight edge neck shave, even have a discount for first time! Lauren was awesome! Did a great job, very happy with the hair cut she gave me. Even though being the only stylist there that day and being very busy she took her time on every step of the process. Super disappointed. Place looks awesome. Chive, sports and gangster stuff everywhere...in preparation of a trim and a straight edge razor shave, I felt like it was gonna be my new manctuary. Unfortunately, the showcase of manly traits is where the service stops. I only wanted a shave, but was treating my dad to a shave and a haircut. His cut was fine, like any other 15 dollar haircut, and luckily he had shaven the morning before so it was basically a 're-do, but even his report was "Jesus my face is irritated, DoD u feel like they pulled out each hair individually?" My shave was rediculous. First, it took 55 minutes. I'm not sure I have ever taken more than five minutes to shave. Ever. I had not shaven for two days but I don't grow facial hair at a great rate. She started out, okay, lets do a sugar scrub. That was fine and was actually quite nice. However, then a four times repeated process of shaving one hair at a time, pulling like sibling does to a step-sibling to inflict the greatest harm possible, then sugar, hot towel, pull, comment of "wow it is already dry," then sugar, towel, pull....you get it. Then after being told "you are all set," got up and found three bleeding nicks on my face, sugar residue dried and not cleaned all over my neck, four missed spots, and a 26 dollar bill. Just went home and had to finish huge section, including my entire lower lip area, to where I was thankful I wasn't meeting people immediately after the appointment. Looked like a clown...with irritated facial skin. Word to the wise. Find a real barber or stay home with your mach 3. Or, just let it grow and get a beer with hotter girls. Just got back from getting an amazing haircut from a FABulous hair stylist, BRITTNEY!! She did a phenomenal job and was one of the sweetest and kindest hair stylists I've ever done business with! The reason for me not giving it a full five star is because they didn't have Starbucks frapps stocked and didn't have my hair color in which is the responsibility of the owner and manager and have heard not so good things about at prior visits. However, with that said, I highly recommend this place as I have before and ask for Brittney if you want a friendly gal who will make you feel right at home and over exceed your expectations! read more
