This place is great! You choose the kind of cookies you want and then the ice cream. The line goes pretty quickly and the workers were very friendly. Great place for a treat in the 98 degree weather here in the summer!
Cute ice cream shop that makes homemade cookie ice cream sandwiches. You chose a cookie flavor and ice cream flavor along with any toppings. The staff was very friendly and in up beat moods. The cookie ice cream sandwich was DELICIOUS and so big. I chose for a regular chocolate chip cookie with their version of birthday cake ice cream and m&Ms. Definitely worth giving this place a try
Great concept, cookies and ice cream are both great on their own but together earn an easy 5/5. Would recommend and return. Ability to mix and match allow for getting exactly what you want. Cookie was chewy and firm enough not to get soggy, overall delicious and complement ice cream perfectly. Only note there the chocolate chips are not very chocolatey. Mississippi mud ice cream was great, a light coffee flavor, cold and delicious. Note sandwiches are very large and also messy so recommend eating with a spoon.

Are you freaking kidding me?!? Get one to share with your entire circle of friends. There's plenty to go around. Choose your freshly baked cookies (mix & match) then choose your ice cream. If you are a bottomless pit, you might want to put some extra stuff on it... whipped cream, nuts, caramel, fruity Pebbles... I did not do this. I didn't think there was ANY way I'd be able to finish this, but here I am... still eating.

We originally went to Baked Bear in San Diego and have been to locations across the country since then as they've expanded. Was so excited to see this one in Savannah so we were all too happy to stop in. The cookie of the month is M&M which is absolutely speaking my language so I ordered that for my sandwich with cookies & cream ice cream. They put SO MUCH ice cream on it here, almost too much to be balanced with the cookies? But not complaining about that because it's sooooo good. The cookies are fantastic and we love how they press them to warm them up. Six stars, no notes.

My friend and I got two cookie sandwiches and the total was under $20. In 2025, I consider that very reasonable. The quantity meets the quality standard as well. Me personally, the ice cream sandwich is big enough for 1 person and can be split to 2 people if appetites aren't big. We even asked "How we supposed to eat this?" because of the size. Do not recommend eating it like a sandwich ;) Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back next time I am in Savannah.
Always fantastic. The cookies and brownies are freshly baked and delicious, the ice cream hits the spot every time and you'll never complain you didn't get enough! The portions are huge and priced fairly. You get to customize your cookies and ice cream for your sandwich or can be different and have just one or the other or have it in a bowl. It's a clean, no extra fuss space and not a lot of seating available so definitely on busy days you might end up having to take it to go, but the staff is always serving with a smile and have not had a bad experience thus far. We love The Baked Bear!

This place reminds me of one of my favorite (now closed) ice cream sandwich shops in the Chicago burbs, down to the lay out of the cookie bar, ice cream, and L shaped interior. My $8.50 ice cream cookie sandwich was worth every penny. You get to choose your cookie types or if you want a brownie as one of the sides, along with the ice cream flavor. Of the dozen or so flavors (mint chip, cookies and cream, cookie dough, caramel pretzel, cake batter, etc), I chose mud pie, which was delectable coffee ice cream with fudge and brownie pieces. My sandwich was STUFFED to the brim with ice cream, and I needed a spoon to eat it. Scoops go for $5.50, waffle cones are $1.25, and toppings are $0.75. There's 4 four seater tables inside, and a unisex single bathroom in the back. Yummy cold treat for those hot, humid Savannah days! Worth all the calories!
Super yummy ice cream served in the middle of two fairly soft cookies. There is over 5 options for cookies and around 10 flavors of ice cream to mix and match. $9 for an ice cream sandwich. Limit of 3 ice cream samples but delicious ice cream and super yummy cookies.
Wonderful experience! 10/10 would recommend. Tyler and Deana helped us today and were more than accommodating. They allowed us to sample muktiple flavors and gave us combination suggestions when we had questions. I ended up with toasted s'mores ice cream and the mexican hot chocolate cookies-- both were excellent! My husband got blueberry crumble with the lemon cookie, another amazing combo. Tables and chairs were clean and they put up with our craziness. Thanks for being amazing, we will be back. read more
Service was great, very friendly staff. The space is small and seems to get full quickly. They have a good selection of ice cream, cookies, and toppings. It's hard to make a decision because everything sounds good, and you can pick two cookies or brownie for your sandwich. I shared a cookie sandwich, it was huge! Staff is kind and helpful. Very sweet. The ice cream is delicious the cookies and brownies are sooo good as well. A bit pricey but for the amount of ice cream, toppings, and cookie or brownie that you get it is worth it. Such a cool and unique dessert place. Definitely stop by. read more

I had a Combo Sandwich (one side brownie, one side cookie) with the chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream. The brownie and cookie both tasted delicious. The brownie texture was...um... it was really hard to eat with a spoon. If you're actually going to pick it up the texture would have been fine...or if I had a knife. (If the brownie was the way I like it would have just fell apart, so this was actually perfect for an ice cream sandwich.) The staff were very fast, and nice. I tried two different ice cream flavors I was curious about, and they were both good. The place only has four 4 top tables, which is fine as it is ice cream and people don't hang out too too long and there really isn't room for much more. You can see them scooping the cookie dough in the back, so that's pretty cool. We will be back the next time we're in town. Oh, and day old cookies by the dozen for less than half the price of today's...that was hard to resist but someone bought the last dozen before we were done and saved us the calories, lol And the bear is super cute. I first had The Baked Bear in San Diego about 5 years ago. I was so excited to see they opened a location in Savannah! Hubby and I along with his brother and our sister-in-law were in Savannah for the weekend. We just had to drop in for a treat. We ordered a custom ice cream sandwich to share - a molten lava cookie, a gooey butter cake cookie, and bear batter ice cream. It was delicious! Their cookies are some of the best around - soft, sweet, warm and gooey! Add ice cream and it really gets kicked up a notch. The ice cream sandwiches are pretty large and perfect for sharing. The lines are usually long but The Baked Bear is so worth it! read more
The baked bear had a variety of cookies, brownies, and ice cream. My sister and I had their special strawberry match cookie with vanilla ice cream. It was pretty good. But a huge dessert to finish on your own since it is a bit on the sweeter side. I would recommend one cookie and saving the other. The service was friendly and fast. The concept is a good idea, but the execution is just straight gluttony. I am a sweets lover and I never have not finished my sweets but this was too much overall. The combination of cookies icecream and toppings is just way too much. To make it more successful I would make the cookies smaller and the portions smaller to leave people wanting more. read more
I found The Baked Bear after a quick Google search and decided to stop by later in the night. Even at that hour there was a line out the door, which told me everything I needed to know. The shop offers cookies and ice cream in several fun combinations from cookie bowls with ice cream on top to full cookie ice cream sandwiches. I chose a cone of the Bear Batter, which is a cake flavored ice cream with brownie mixed in and a bright blue hue. The ice cream was tasty and creamy, and I also had a taste of the cookie dough ice cream, which was a bit more robust and creamier than the flavor I chose. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely come back to try the cookies with the ice cream since this time I only had the cone. read more

I would highly suggest splitting your ice cream sandwich with a friend or significant other. It's just too much for one person. It is very tasty though! I wish the sandwiches were a bit smaller and a bit less expensive. The gentleman who helped us was very helpful in ordering for the first time. I heard a lot of great things about this place and saw it while my husband and I were strolling around. We decided to give it a try! It was definitely busy and very packed. A decent amount of seating. Staff was alright. Not very patient but most likely due to the business. We got a chocolate chip cookie and cookies and cream ice cream. It was good for the most part but do wish the cookie size was biggie for the amount of ice cream you get. I also wished they warmed up the cookie to help the flavor be a bit better. read more

The Baked Bear was alright. Good enough for an ice cream sandwich. Unfortunately the amount of ice cream was over powering for the sandwich. We shared it between the two of us and ended up throwing half of it away. I bought a separate chocolate chip cooking alone that they heated up and it was pretty good. They did heat up the ice cream sandwich as well, but the cookie just fell apart making it very challenging to consume. The servers were all friendly and great, it was just too much. read more

Listen, this is one of the best dessert spots in Savannah right now. And I am a bit of a sweet treat Savant. I just love the decorations of this place and the staff is so friendly and accommodating especially because this is kind of a new experience. My favorite part is that you can mix and match as many flavors as you want and they have a lot of flavors!! The cookie of the month is always super good and the cookies are that soft type so if you don't like that, you might not want to pair it with the ice cream. But for those of us that love half baked cookies this is a perfect little sweet treat, especially when they warm it up. and trust me you definitely wanna warm it up! It is a large portion, so I'd recommend sharing with another person, but I will be coming back here!! And they do have dairy free and gluten-free options! And I know a lot of people that aren't familiar with Savannah. This is on Broughton Street which is a busier street. There is not a lot of parking nearby so I would recommend parking and a deck further away and walking around this area. read more

The Baked Bear is fun and if you have a sweet tooth you will be back for more. They are located on Broughton Street. It is just around the corner from the courthouse. You can find street parking all around or park in the court garage. We were greeted upon entry. The staff was friendly and asked if they could help. My friend and I were looking for the gluten free cookie and vegan ice cream specifically. We asked about both. The cookie was listed on the menu. The gluten free cookie of the day was chocolate chip. But it was not out on display. The ice cream was not out either. We were told they kept them separate from everything. The vegan ice cream was also chocolate chip. I was pleasantly surprised, less chance of cross contamination. Even the ice cream press they wiped it down, used parchment paper, and a different knife for the cookie upon hearing gluten allergy. This does not happen often for my friend. It was nice to see an establishment that hears allergy and takes it seriously. The ice cream sandwich is eleven dollars total plus tax. It was huge! We split it and still could not eat it all. The texture of the vegan ice cream was good. The cookie was light and crisp. You can buy cookies, or day old cookies too. If you are not a cookie fan they have cones and cups grab ice cream. Or grab a scoop with a cookie in it. There are many other options than the sandwiches. I will be back with my husband. He will love it! I will get myself a scoop of ice cream with one cookie. That way I will be able to eat it all! read more

Had a Nutella chocolate chip sandwich with cookie dough filling & it was great - we also ordered a banana bread esque sandwich with vanilla filling which was a bit flourly tasting unfortunately Right on Broughton - very convenient to get to via foot & I recommend giving a try read more
