I'm from north jersey so I know my bagels, this spot is pretty average for a good doughy crunchy bagel. My boyfriend and I got here around lunchtime and got two bagels. We got a Taylor ham egg and cheese and a sesame with veggie cream cheese. Both were a bit underwhelming. The amount of cream cheese on my bagel was almost non existent, definitely wished there was more. Though I will say that the veggie cream cheese itself had a great flavor. The good thing about these sandwiches is that they're small and not too overfilling so it's not a bad idea to bring to the beach. Though I'd probably go with a different choice myself. I'll probably be back because my boyfriend loves this place and I think I'll try some of their Mexican specials instead. The staff was very friendly and everything was out quick. read more

The Bagel Shack is a happening place. I presume for the traditional style NY bagels they offer. They have a nice selection for such a small shop. I had the everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. I liked the bagel but I prefer my bagel shop back here. It is a bit on the doughier side but gets the job done. The iced coffee was just ok. I would try their other drinks next time. There are a few pastries for sale and tons of sandwiches and lunch fare. Next stop to the beach we will try a few more. read more

Great bagels and sandwiches. We often get wraps or sandwiches for the beach there. My favorite is an egg white wrap with spinach, mushrooms and Swiss. Ordering online and picking it up makes things much quicker. They have a variety of bagels and for the Jersey Shore they're pretty good, not as good as a New York bagel but way better then bakery or the dreaded Dunkin' bagel (please). They have lots of options from cream cheese spreads to egg, Cheese & meat sandwiches. Yes they have Taylor Ham. If you're not a fan of bagels you can also get a wrap. The coffee is good and they have seating outside. You can even call in your oder ahead and pick it up at the window. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. do not order a gluten free bagel at this place. they took the gluten free bagel, placed it directly on the counter where they cut the regular bagels with the same knife they cut the regular bagels with. I mentioned that wasn't ok, they said oh, well if you have an allergy, if you got a sandwich, we would send it to the back. I said, if you cut it on a separate surface (like a plate) with a clean knife, it would be fine. I just don't want it rubbed in gluten. All of the staff said that oh, well, this place has gluten all over it, we can't do that. Train your staff better, and teach them better customer service. shame on you. read more

Coffee was decent, but also nothing special. They've got a few other things on the menu too like omelettes and burritos. The service was efficient and staff were friendly enough. Small joint.
