Burger & tots are solid! Thin patty but delicious!!!

Located in the krate, this place is amazing!!! Food was so good, service was quick and fresh and it's a nice place to have lunch outside! Will definitely be back when in town!

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon and I was extremely happy with my food. The Nicky Santoro Spicy Burger will definitely be one that I think about and crave regularly. I love mango + spice and I've never had that combo on a burger. It was well balanced and if the description/ingredients appeal to you, then you will definitely love this burger. The fries were pretty good, and they were made excellent with their house "fry sauce". My only complaint was that I didn't ask for extra of that sauce because it was everything I want in a fry sauce. Sorry for the half eaten food picture, I wasn't even thinking to review this place because it was a post-work-meeting quick lunch, but I HAD to get a picture when I realized how delicious everything was. Also, the server was super friendly, the food was very quick, and I wish I had time to actually explore the area, because Krate seemed like a really cool place overall. It was hot outside, but that's Florida for ya'

I'm a complete and utter sucker for anything that has bacon but y'all.... The Bacon Boss done did it. Every dish I've tried from here has been so delicious, fresh, and unique. The names of all the dishes are super fun, the service is amazing, and the location at the Krates is really great. This is one of those places where "the phone eats first" doesn't apply because I end up taking a bite as soon as the food hits the table. My go-tos are the Leah's buffalo mac 'n cheese, the fat Tony tater tots, and the Jimmy on a stick. Get ready to become obsessed with anything you order and come back whenever you have a chance to!

Firstly the Krates is an awesome place, the restaurant is located right to the side of the stage so we got to listen to good southern music while eating. The service was quick and the waitress brought me extras like mayo and other sauces I wanted. It was packed and for good reason. These burgers were perfectly grilled; I had the Meyer Lansky mushroom burger with the grilled onions and garlic aioli...but first i ate all the fries..... I could not stop eating after my first bite. The burger was so scrumptious, I wish i weren't on a diet to try a couple. As a side i ordered the bacon mac which was also delicious.

Came here while passing through Wesley Chapel. Had heard about it and was in the mood for a burger. I got the Costelo burger and the wife got the John Gadhe burger. We got them as a combo which is the best way to go financially. The burger was good not great but good. I guess my biggest issue was the lack luster bacon. I like thick cut quality bacon. I felt this bacon was thin and almost tasteless. With a name like Bacon Boss I guess my expectations were higher than I received. The bun was also just ok. I did enjoy the gander cut fries and the seltzer water that I got with the meal. I may come back but now understand what level of burger they offer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the ambiance was casual and clean.

    Mafioso Patty Melt

If I weren't afraid that I'd look like a freaking lard ass, I'd have ordered another one to go! My husband ordered the Mafioso Patty Melt and we split it. Big mistake! Huge!!! I could have eaten one myself and ordered another to eat at home. Most patty melts have a couple of skinny burgers pressed together with some cheese. The Mafioso Patty Melt had serious heft and girth!!! When is that EVER a bad thing?? The onions were sweet and caramelized perfectly. Imagine if you will, a burger jumped into a cheesy onion soup and then crawled into a grilled cheese sandwich. The cheese and BBQ Mayo dripping between the slices of bacon ran down my arm. Dear Lord! Hands down, the best burger I have eaten in the Tampa Bay Area.

Got the Gotti! $17.50 for the burger/fry/drink combo seemed a bit steep. Got it to go and the Styrofoam box was covered in grease. Burger was tasty but was sloppily thrown together and didnt look/taste artisan, and that's what I'd expect @ that price. Good enough, but probably wouldn't return.

Bacon! Bacon! Bacon! More bacon. This is the place. Bacon is American favorite. I have try their bacon menu since they own the food truck. I am glad that they finally open the store front restaurant. We were here to visit the Krate and we love to visit this store. We got the bacon dog to try and the bacon is crispy wrap around the hotdog. It was delicious. They do have other bacon products but we already fill our stomach with other food. Definitely come back for other bacon product.

For those familiar to Bacon Boss from all those years in their food truck, I have news for you. They now have a physical location at the Krates at the Grove in Wesley Chapel. That's great news for those in Wesley Chapel. I can tell they definitely have a following!!! We tried Bacon Boss for the first time, and tried two diff burgers. We tried the John Gotti Burger where the bacon jam called my attention. We also tried the Vito Genovese Burger. The pastrami was what caught my attention. We also had their fries and onion rings. A meal deal includes the fries. Onion rings are a dollar extra and fries and drink is $4 more on top of the burger. Out of the two, John Gotti was my fave. Vito was pretty salty, but pastrami is naturally salty. When you walk in, you get a friendly hello from the cook and the one running the register. They are awesome and have memorable customer service. I ordered my food. Then I went across the Krates to Urban Sweets to get my dessert, and came back with my order ready to go. They have outside seating and inside bar seating. Great place for burgers at the Krates and next door is the hot dogs at TJ's. They also have parking right next to their Krates! Check them out. Grand Opening for the Krates is on Saturday, June 4, 2022. I'm sure it will be the first phase of businesses because there's still lots to come!!

My son-in-law loves this food truck- so when we saw that they opened a location at the new Krate shopping center in Wesley Chapel- we were thrilled! We went for lunch, every had their assortment of bacon items- patty melts, burgers, bacon-chocolate chip cookies!!! The burger was phenomenal! And the bacon crispy, just the way I like it. The cookies are ah-mazing! I didn't care for the onion rings- too heavily battered, but the fries were great. They have dipping sauces that are also delicious. Can't go wrong! I just saw a picture of the mac-n-cheese topped with a ton of bacon and mentally drooled. Yelp merged this with the food truck business- but this is an actual location. They have picnic tables outside on the patio and you just go inside to order and grab your beverage. It is on the end closest to the event stage- which should be great for business during special events! I will be back again- John wants to try it next time we visit!

So great that this former only food truck now has a home at the Krates in Wesley Chapel. Great burgers and excellent other options such as chicken wings, different varieties of Mac and cheese and hot dogs. I had the John Gotti Bacon Jam Burger: A 1/3lb pound burger patty topped with Gouda cheese, homemade bacon jam, baby spring mix and garlic aioli. Served on a toasted Brioche bun and fries. Oh what a delicious burger, everything tasted great together. My friend had the Meyer Lansky Mushroom Burger: A burger patty topped with bacon, Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions and garlic aioli. Served on a toasted Brioche bun with tater tots. Both burgers were great. Service is so friendly and helpful. You order inside and they will bring the food out to you if you are sitting outside at the picnic tables. Definitely will be back, there are so many things I want to try! Parking all around the Krates, Baco boss is closest to the stage.

This place is one of the restaurants located at the Krate in the Grove. My husband and I stopped in on a rainy day right before closing. We ordered two 10 piece wings to go. Although they were closing the staff was so friendly and engaging. The wings were made fresh and even came with 2 sauce cups and a side of bacon (yum )! Our order only took about 10 minutes which we didn't mind at all because of the great conversation about music that we had while there. The interior has a nice sleek and clean "mob boss" decor which I found to be unique. Overall it was a great experience and I would go back again.

One of the best places at Krate
    Bre F.

I already knew this place would be good based on how delicious their food trucks are. This place does not disappoint, definitely top 3 places at the Krate easily. Various different burgers to choose from, Tater Tots smothered in Mac n cheese, and the wing?? Oh they're also amazing. If you've ever tried their food truck in the past, this place is just as good, maybe better.

A bartender greeted me and gave me water. For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog. I am glad I chose this place again as it was near my hotel. Definitely coming back for more great bar food at reasonable prices. Overall: A

Our sever came by and told us the jalapeño creamed corn was not available and offered us different vegetables. Notes on the tater tots: delicious! Order bbq sauce to dip them in you won't be disappointed. Notes on the mashed potatoes: bland, and tastes like tap water Notes on the burger: perfectly executed. No bacon in the salad. Small amounts of flavorless cheese. Fresh greens. When we were mostly done with our meal our server came by with my drink refill and asked if we ever got the fries. I declined as we were nearly done. She immediately took them off the bill. Also when it was time for the check she asked if everything was ok and we were honest and told her what we thought. She apologized. We left a reasonable tip for the good service. So all in all, I'd say a 3 star experience.
