Some of my friends think I am crazy for not trying to sell or make a profit off of items I have that are expensive and like-new. A coworker recommended I sell my Graco Sooth My Way swing that I just purchased in July 2021 for almost $200 instead of just giving it away as I usually would. I only used it for a few months because my baby grew out of it quickly. She recommended I go to this place. I called ahead and the woman sounded nice enough, saying she would take it and give me cash on the spot. The swing is in like-new condition with all of the parts. I brought it in and the lady took it out of the bag and told me she is going to give me $16. I said that is it? And with an attitude she said "yea, all I can do is $16. If you want more than you have to sell it yourself." I already unloaded it out of the car and was not trying to bring it back to my house, so I just accepted the $16 and left not feeling good at all. I came to the conclusion that I feel much better giving it away for free than getting lowballed like this so someone else can make a profit. She will probably sell it for $100. I'm sure the experience here as a consumer is a lot better than one as a "seller" even though it felt more like robbery. Never again.

With so many other places that actually value their customers, I won't be coming back. Despite not locating the pants I was looking for, I did spy some other items that would be good for my 4 year old. The prices are right and the quality is not too bad. He's a Carter's kid through and through since birth. But I would buy some items here that I don't want to necessarily shell out money for such as when he's going through one of his growth spurts. Or say I need something for him to wear a handful of times before it's no longer useful. Then I'll come in and purchase. They also seemed to have warm hats and gloves and scarves. A first for me, tried numerous devices and just b4 giving up called customer Svs. There was a glitch in website BUT the kindest most patient rep tried everything to help me edit and complete transaction. Finally she took the order ( I was hesitant) not only did she assist but offered another $25. Off already sale items and expedited a next day delivery free, just for the inconvenience. She also took all my PC info to repair the website. I never encountered such a patient and pleasant customer rep before. Yes J Crew is a bit pricy for me but they stand by their products and a personal touch like this matters. An extra kudos for being off shore who I am usually disappointed with. You can ask someone but it's very misleading. For example, I saw dresses that were 70% off and right next to it on another rack in the area with some of the same items that were on the 70% off rack and I was told it was 40% off and not 70%. The staff always says goodbye and sometimes hello when you come in. Other than that, it's quiet. I suppose it's hit or miss but in comparison to other locations, the prices here are quite high.
