Owner Dan Burke is not a good guy. Unless you have a big paying job, you are last on his list and have to be available at a moments notice. He makes you feel like he's doing you a favor. We had him take down an interior sign in our office and re-install it in our new location. I had to call him multiple times to get him to come in. After he finally came in with no real advance notice, the re-instillation was sloppy. It was a mirrored sign and was left with adhesive on it. He had also taken a sketch of the original placement, but he was unable to replicate it. There were some letters that were unleveled. He had some excuse, but was in such a rush it didn't really matter to him. He said if you want to fix it you can take it down and fix the wall yourself. His ego is so big that there is no way you can criticize him.
We also had him take down our exterior sign, which was to be re-installed at the new location. Dan was good enough to come to an ARB meeting with us, (even though we paid him), to have the town approve the placement of the old sign on the new space. He was of no help. He was argumentative and combative. We appealed independently and thankfully won our case. When I called to tell him, he was pleasantly surprised. But in order to put up the sign, he'd have to take down the awning. Since we decided not to re-do the awning at that time, he just kept putting us off. Weeks went by of avoided calls. When I finally got him on the phone and asked him to come and finish the job he agreed to do, he just yelled at me to basically stop bothering him. He said he would find somebody else to do it for us. But of course, never heard from him. We have since installed a new awning and put up our sign, but no thanks to Dan. read more
