Service was terrible. Had dinner with family tonight. Where do I start ... Yes I know Friday night 6pm and we were expecting 6 people in our party. we were told when we arrived that it would be an hour wait. ( although we saw at least 4 empty tables outside as we walked towards the front) 3 of us sat outside while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. my niece arrived, we told her we were told an hour wait. She said, can't be as she called at 5:30 and told them 6 were arriving at 6pm was told we could be seated right away. We went in and she told the hostess this, and we got seated right away. Waited a good 5 minutes and finally Preston came to take our drink orders. we gave him our drink orders and advised Preston we were waiting for 2 others but we will order the sampler platter. Appetizers came, no plates, no silverware or napkins given. Flagged down Preston again, advised we had no plates, silverware, napkins. Plates & paper napkins brought, never returned with silverware. 3 of the four of us, beverages were empty; Flag Preston down again, can we get another drink, refill on waters, please. Finally our final guest of our party arrives, we place orders. Those came out fine, other than my husband ordered tator tots and got French fries and my sons Tuna melt he asked for multigrain , came on marble rye. But we still did not get silverware. It wasn't Preston that brought our order, it was another girl, told her we needed silverware.... Sat and waited another 5-6 minutes. Caught Prestons eye again, advised him need silverware. Finally brought. Now normally we are 25-30% tippers, but not this time. Since my brother in law paid the bill, you are lucky you got 15%. A lot of bugs need to be worked out. read more

First time at the Assembly West Dundee on Father's Day. We where very pleased with the Hamburgers we both enjoyed, nice that we had a choice on the Bun and sides. My Wife had the original Burger with Pretzel bun and Sweet Potato fries, sweet potato fries excellent not overcooked like I've had at another restaurant. Coleslaw is great also. I had the Bionic Burger regular fries all cooked perfectly for me. My wife and I agreed we will be back. I have to try the Lake Perch. read more

The ribs came out cold and the service was terrible. Took me an over half an hour to get my bill and check out. Only to find out they will not accept a prepaid gift card. But they have never heard of in my life. The manager did not want to do anything for restitution. Said it was the owner's decision not to accept gift cards and they do not need to post it at the door. read more

Great food. Incredible burgers. The bartender was not friendly & barely spoke to us. Would have had more drinks but seemed to be bothering him. read more

The ambiance and setting is pleasant and very calming! Very good addition to the neighborhood and Catora is the best server!

Had to knock them down a star today. They no longer have Marquee Network for Cubs games. I might need to find a new place to watch the games if they don't bring it back! Please do! read more

Awesome service. Staff was very attentive with with great energy. Their October fest was so much fun and such an amazing deal. They offered a very tasty German buffet. Honestly the best German tastings I've ever had. Along with 10 sample of different German beers. I'd def recommend this place especially when they are hosting special events! read more

Good burgers, friendly wait staff, fun atmosphere, and retro videos. Coco totally took care of our party of four, and we will definitely be back. Try the bionic burger on marble rye with their mushroom sherry sauce read more

I had lunch here this afternoon- fantastic food Allison was my server and she was wonderful, and hospitable Allison is a great asset to the Assembly. read more

The food is so good. Way better than the Hoffman Estates location. We also had dessert and the carrot cake was phenomenal

The Assembly in Dundee - you can't miss! Great apps, delicious burgers, highly recommend the filet medallions, the tilapia dinner, and the beignets for dessert! Do yourself a favor and sit in Alyssa's section; she's friendly and bonus - she can recommend a good tattoo artist if you're interested . read more

Good atmosphere, good food. Came in on a Friday evening. Heidi was my server and she was great! Very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.

Just ok. My tatter tots look like they were fried and have been sitting, waiting to be served. They were def not fresh. No crunch to the bite either. The burger was ok. Lack of flavor as you eat the thing. overall meh experience read more

Ryan V was amazing! He was on top of refills and food ordering. He was so kind and we could tell he knew his stuff! Very fast and wonderful service. Definitely will be back! read more

We have been going to The Assembly in Hoffman for years now and the food and service was always excellent! We were so excited that they opened one in West Dundee! We did go there once about a month ago and it was great, awesome food and drinks. My rating of their food is definitely 5 stars, however, we went in yesterday to have lunch with our daughters. We walked in and there was no one at the front and the waitress behind the bar glanced up at us a few times but ignored us completely. No one came to greet us, seat us or even acknowledge our presence. We stood there waiting to be seated for over 15 minutes and nothing. After a few "Hello's" and a few more (rude) glances from the bartender/waitress, we decided to walk out and take our business elsewhere. Very disappointed as we loved this place in the past. Sadly, this left a "bad taste" in our hungry mouths and we will not be going back. Apparently they don't care about their patrons or our business. read more

our group of 36 met at the Assembly this evening. only 2 servers were assigned to us and the wait for our food was extremely long. They told us about adding the 20% tip to the bill because of the size of the group. This in itself, was fine, but the service did not warrant 20%. plus, the tip was figured on the after tax, and after credit card fee, which is not the proper way of being based on just the food and drink amount. I think $56+ for 2 hamburgers, a miller beer, and $5 drink of the day is a ridiculous price to pay for what we receive. read more

Service was great. Cute outdoor area for dining. Boyfriend & I both got a burger and both were great/cooked to perfection.

This location pales in comparison to the one in Hoffman/Barrington. Sat near the bar and was subjected to smoke and grease from the flat top grill. Service was great and portions generous but fried chicken sandwich had no taste. Menu was unoriginal and limited. No reason to go back. read more

Always good, it will be nice when they inclose the patio for the winter. The burgers are the best !!

Great food great service. Loved every bit of the atmosphere and food. Overall great place highly Recommend!

We walked in and we're seated immediately. We sat and waited for someone to come take our drink orders. No one showed. Our room was not busy. We exited eight 8 minutes and then decided to leave. Very disappointing. We were so looking forward to eating there. Looking at menus their prices were a little high. These restaurants really don't care about good customer service. Sad read more

For sure an average experience at best. This place is supposed to be known for their burgers. The burgers are huge, 10 oz in fact. Too big to enjoy. Once you get past a half pound burger, you're doing it for marketing purposes only. If you're going to use this as a way to get people in the door, you better make it the best burger the customer ever had. The burger I had was not over the top complicated, bacon cheddar burger cooked medium rare. The cook on the burger medium. But the biggest travisty was that it was actually kind of tasteless due to the lack of seasoning of the meat. And to charge almost $20 was a shock. My wife and daughter both had underwhelming Southwest salads. With one appetizer, two adult drinks with too much ice in them, two dinner salads and a burger our bill was $106. Too expensive to have mediocre food. I think the saving grace is the evening was our server. Invest in a cook that understands how to season a burger, since your restaurant is known for their burgers. Invest in a better POS system that will allow the servers to charge the credit card at the table instead of taking the customers card out of their sight, too much chance for credit card fraud these days. This is the second time we have visited since they opened. Not sure I'll be back anytime soon to spend the amount of money they are charging for mediocre food and drinks. read more

Gina the bartender is awesome!!! Food was fantastic (wings tonight). Burgers are big & juicy! Gina was very attentive, friendly & helpful. She even provided me with a birthday ice cream cup. Made my day! read more

We have been going to The Assembly in Hoffman for over 35+ years. Service can't be beat. Ribs and burgers are truly some of the best. We were excited to see The Assembly open closer to us in W. Dundee but should have skipped the first few months to allow for opening issues. Tried again and wow! We had Anthony as our server and he is exactly what every restaurant needs! Fantastic service! Food was back up to par. If you love a great burger - if you are a ribs-lover, none better than The Assembly. (Someone needs to update photos on Yelp - eeeeck) read more

went there with my daughter for a Father's Day dinner. We had terrific service from a young lady named Rachel, see checked on us just right (made sure we had our drinks, the food was satisfactory, etc. without being intrusive). The food was great. I had the perch (8 beautiful pieces!) and my daughter had a ceasar salad. We topped it off with the two-tone cheesecake (worth the trip by itself). read more

Our first trip to The Assembly in West Dundee. Great food, great beer and great service! Definitely will be back.

1st time @ W. Dundee loc & was looking forward to it. Very underwhelmed. Happy hour prices are only if you literally sit at the bar on backless stools, not even the 2 tables in the bar area that a shorter person could better sit. Slow service from bartenders after we got our 1st drinks yet only a few other customers at the bar. Ordered 2 appetizers & they were lukewarm & undercooked. Wasn't aasked how food was or if wanted to order meal. Finally bartender saw our uneaten food & asked if we wanted a box. We wanted dinner but at that point, aggravated & thought we don't want to buy $18 burgers if they're as bad as the appetizer "specials". When we told bartender no box as it was undercooked, she did say she'd tell the manager. He never came over yet was just standing nearby. Eating out is too expensive to waste on blah food & service. Miss Chili's & will continue to dine elsewhere. read more

Grabbed lunch between hockey games and food was fantastic. Service was great strongly recommend.

Great food and customer service. Fun twists in burgers. Will definitely be back. Decent price.

First review I've ever taken time to write, that should say in itself how bad this place was. Waitress was spectacular, highly recommended to her to find a job elsewhere because this place will not be in business long. Out of 7 plates ordered only 1 was decent. Most of food has no flavor. Simple order of onion rings had fried pickles mixed in. Nachos were less than quality you get at a fast food restaurant. I don't know how you can mess up a burger which is what they are supposed to be known for but somehow they did. Talked with management about situation and she virtually did nothing she stated she would adjust bill, oh yes she did she took $5 off a bill of $160+. If it was not for waitress after first bite we would of walked out. Doors are barely open but I think it's time for them to close in this establishment! read more

It was busy for a weeknight, but we were seated immediately. Server was attentive and friendly, and the food was really good. Nice experience, we'll be stopping in again. read more

Tried not once but three times. Burgers are tasteless. Terrible!! Manager admits they do not flavor or season the burgers.

Me and my family went here for my post graduation meal and were excited to try something new. Unfortunately the food does not hold a high standard; the filet Mingnon was doused in a extremely bitter sauce and the vegetables or at least I think they're vegetables that come on the side look and taste like they scraped them from the bottom of the fryer. As well as the onion rings being over fried to the point where you're chewing on straight oil. The nachos I ordered were all chips on the bottom with a layer of melted cheese on top but bare below, and they gave me three sample sized cups of topping for about a 12 inch plate of nachos? Other than that Service was great our waitress was extremely kind and understanding. However I think it says something when 5/7 plates of food are only picked at and not eaten... the manager also made us pay full upon discussing the issue talk about no regard for the customer and the nasty food that was given. read more
