Rafi, who is the supervisor was notably responsive and invested in making sure there were no issues as I moved in and resolved maintenance requests immediately and expertly. I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with my experience at Asher Apartments. Despite multiple reports, a recurring issue with unauthorized parking in my assigned spot has not been resolved. This ongoing problem, exemplified by a particular BMW X3 (license plate APK-8482) frequently occupying my space, reflects a serious lapse in management and enforcement of community rules. Come on no body solve this so I need to park on the upper guest parking or street park everyday, especially it's rainny day recently and I can't access the parking lot I payed??? Like if u don't give a shit, then why u rent me that lot first place, so I can pay that mother fucker for his parking spot right? The lack of action from the apartment management, even after several complaints, raises a critical question about the value of paying for a parking space that is not reliably available. This situation has reached a point where I felt compelled to escalate the matter to the direct manager, hoping for a more effective resolution. Moreover, the overall living conditions have been far from satisfactory. Upon moving in, I encountered a broken window and noticeable scratches on the building's interior. The air conditioning unit is excessively loud, causing constant disturbance. Additionally, the refrigerator fails to maintain an adequate cooling temperature. These maintenance issues, coupled with the parking problem, severely detract from the quality of life here. Unfortunately, these persistent problems and the lack of appropriate response from the management team have led me to conclude that choosing to live at Asher Apartments was a mistake. The curated choice of artists was fantastic-- more than artists i've paid to watch. The people were amazing and were very conscious of preserving/taking care of the space. Great community! The landscape is beautifully maintained. The maintenance crew lead by Rafi are extremely courteous and professional. Rafi is very polite, helpful and always comes to our rescue whenever we have any sort of issue We have been here since 2020, love the amenities gym, swimming pool, and lots of common spaces that can be used to work out of or plan an event.. just that apartments here are bit expensive as compared to outside. We have had few issues like walls are too thin and even though they say there's insulation between floors, you can always hear your upstairs neighbors which can be annoying. read more

Avoid this apartment at any cost. We have been living here for over a year and having a horrible experience. Their fire alarm is broken and the management never bothered to fix it even after many residents complaint about it. Because of countless false alarms, we evacuated the apartment many, many times, even at midnight. The worst part is that the alarm will go on for as much as an hour, and you are forced to get out of the building in the middle of the night or during work. The other issue is parking. People park at places where they are not allowed, and the management never takes any action, even after complaining multiple times. If you have young kids or plan to work from home, don't think back and avoid this apartment. You will enjoy better peace in most other places. read more

I'm a current resident at The Asher and visited the leasing office to inquire about moving into a larger unit. My experience started with a warm & friendly greeting from Tida. Her positive energy and professionalism were quite refreshing. Honestly, this was not my experience with the leasing office team in the past 6-12 months. I had specific questions about applicable specials, unit availability, timing, etc. She answered most of the questions and suggested scheduling a tour/meeting with Vanessa to discuss applicable incentives/specials and availability for a specific floor plan we wanted. My partner & I met with Vanessa the next day. We arrived a little early and were immediately acknowledged & warmly greeted. Vanessa is super friendly and professional. Great personality & customer relations skills! We shared with her our past experiences with the former leasing staff & told her how awesome it is to feel prioritized, understood, and excited to want to remain as a resident. We also told her about our positive experience with Tida. If I'm honest, I was very close to considering finding another property. Even better, we were told that we would hear from her by the next day (at the latest) with the outcome of the leasing special & unit availability. I was expecting an email, but she called a few hours later with great news and instructions on next steps, who would contact me, etc. : ). I'm very appreciative & happy for the team/management change. I can now vouch for The Asher to my family, friends & colleagues. More importantly, I'm a proud Asher resident. I had posted a while earlier to comment on the great maintenance team at Asher, and while that is still the case, I needed to update my review to talk about the multiple other issues that are prevalent in the community. We have been seeing people from outside the community just breaking in and using the amenities with barely any response from the management. We've often seen community gates unlocked or wide open for anyone to enter. In addition, the number of car break-ins has steadily risen, and no efforts are being made by the Asher team to increase security. My own car was damaged a few days back with the person responsible leaving a fake number, and again last night, when someone shattered the passenger seat window. Unless things change for the better asap, I would not recommend anyone to consider moving into the Asher, especially if you are concerned about the safety of your family and possessions. read more

If you don't want to pay exorbitant rent for a terrible living experience, stay far away from The Asher and any Greystar-managed apartments. During my one-year stay at The Asher, there were multiple false fire alarms, some even in the middle of the night, garage break-ins, and frequent appearances of police cars and even coroner vans. The leasing office's explanation? No explanation. That's right, no explanation at all. When it came time to renew, they offered a price $500 higher per month than the same unit and floor listed on their website. Perhaps they think residents are too stupid to check prices. The management staff always acted arrogantly, as if they couldn't wait for you to leave. In fact, they have many units they can't rent out, so don't be fooled. Additionally, if you are Asian, be cautious. The management's attitude towards Asians is poor, and there is even a hint of discrimination. read more

Noisy !! If you moved to Fremont for the quiet, forget it!! I'm not one to be a party pooper but the Asher rooftop parties are rather annoying. Having to listing and feel the wailing and thumping from live music when all you want is a little rest on what should be a quiet Saturday afternoon is very frustrating. ....and what about the nearby Cherry Guardino neighborhood? ...the rooftop noise travels at least a half mile around the complex! Live music venues should be kept downtown and not in quiet residential communities. When it comes to noise pollution in Fremont's Cherry Guardino neighborhood, The Asher is the new rude neighbor!! read more

Summarizing our experience with The Asher in 2 words: Irresponsible management We parked our car there while visiting a friend and they towed us from a parking spot with no proper sign. We contacted the towing company and found that it was towed less than 2 hours after we parked there. After so much inconvenience we picked it up our car ~3:45 AM and got charged 550$. There is no clear sign in the spot showing that you cannot park your car there. And they claimed we parked in future resident parking in a weekend. In addition the security personnel saw us parking there and didn't say anything about the spot. We tried reaching out but they kept ignoring our phone calls and emails. It's unbelievable how they treated us with no explanation. read more

Leave here for 14 monthes, ,move out experience is very bad, they will replace your carpet when you move out and charge you 650 dollars for the carpet. Just be careful about it. When you move in, let them open it and see the back side of the carpet. Or they will just replace it for no reason. read more
