Really great place but I have a few complaints: 1) there aren't enough tables and chairs yer there is a lot of floor space 2) the music kinda kills the vibe. It's all country rock. I feel like a coffee shop should have jazz music or something more calming. I'm not really even a fan of jazz, it just Fits the atmosphere. read more

Awesome coffee!!! My family loves little local coffee shops, so we stop at them all over the country, and The Artistic Bean was one of the best. First the coffees were amazing, I highly recommend the Mountain Man Brûlée, the cappuccinos were real with the foam spooned on to our taste and the latte was also delish. To top it off we had real Belgian waffles, which is a rarity stateside. It's also just a really cute shop to enjoy your morning in. The service was also friendly and welcoming. They also roast their own beans in house. Will definitely be back next time we come through the area. read more

Not my favorite coffee shop ever. It was definitely cute and had a nice vibe. But it was also overpriced and not very good. The "medium roast" was the strongest, most bitter coffee I have ever tasted. Added three times the amount of sugar I usually would just to drink it. Probably wouldn't go back. read more

It has a calming rustic feel which fits in with Townsend. The coffee has always been consistent and good nothing off the charts,if you get a normal latte. The s'mores latte they go the extra mile it's a 5 star drink all the way. I like their roast but wish they had a smooth chocolate medium roast that's just personal preference talking. read more

Stopped here with my fiancé after the caverns. We had passed by the cafe all week but never actually walked in. We were impressed! The management were so pleasant and knowledgeable. The Artistic Bean is a magical unicorn of a coffee shop! My husband and I have been visiting the Smokies to hike and bike for a few years and just now discovered this gem on our most recent trip. I'm only bummed we didn't find it sooner. The name The Artistic Bean is truly fitting: There are artistic touches everywhere from the paintings on the walls to the beautiful presentation of the coffee itself. The espresso (made on a hand pull machine from beans freshly roasted in the back) is out of this world smooth and we loved the apple turnovers and fritters. Casey and Andrea are incredibly friendly and fun to talk to and it's obvious they love what they do. We look forward to visiting The Artistic Bean on our future trips to the Smokies! read more

Louis where there are lots of coffee shops and this is by far the best tasting cold brew I have ever had! Stopped here on my way back from visiting Cade's Cove in the Great Smoky National Park, and was beyond happy. Excellent coffee, snacks, and atmosphere. When you walk in, it immediately smells delicious. The barista was very knowledgeable about their coffee as well as more trails to hike in GSMNP.
