They also accommodated our need to reserve part of the parking lot for a pre-wedding car show. They welcomed our DJ and any other vendors that wanted to check out the venue beforehand so all could be prepared. I am actually surprised that they did not have issues with some of the music that we played. We had a truly exceptional time. Best of all, they worked with marketing professionals at American Honda Motor Company to deliver a surprise for us. It was great because I didn't want to know what we were getting. Laura Petrosino, the event director here, worked with our DJ, Jarrod of Metro DC DJs, to make the surprise go off flawlessly. The bartenders were really fun and easy to get along with. They even told us that our musical style was definitely the best they had ever heard at any Regency event where they tended the bar. One of our good friends ended up leaving his sunglasses at the venue but they set them aside for us so we were able to pick them up.

I…read morepaid the deposit in April and during six months since my first contact, two employees (sales director and wedding coordinator) left. No one contacted me for food tasting nor event details later in Sept. Since I am planning a destination wedding, I was freaking out. Every time I emailed them, it took a few days to get a response. Finally, when I stopped by at the venue two weeks before my wedding, I got to talk to the new coordinator. She told me that they were too busy and only reached out to the clients a week ahead of their wedding for details. She was nice but what kind of service they are offering especially in the wedding business. I was very stressed throughout the time. If I didn't stop by, I would not know their plan. No one care to email me for their plan. Anyway, we sorted out many last minutes planning before one week of my wedding. On my wedding day, they messed up my seating plan and my special guest table (our parents and families) was at the back corner. I gave my seating plan to my coordinator but she mixed up with her table numbers. She made me to finalize my seating chart when I was doing my makeup on my wedding day. Apparently, she did not do it right that's why our parents had to sit at the corner. I am still very disappointed!!! Moreover, the food was awful. We selected two plates menu; Steak and Grilled Chicken. Guess what! the chicken was burned and too hard to eat. I couldn't even eat and so do all my guests. It totally tasted different from the food tasting. Besides, they put our wedding favor in the lobby that is far away from our wedding reception. The coordinator said they will put the favors inside our reception room near the bar. But apparently, they were placed far away from the wedding event. No one saw them nor took them. We had so many leftover cake pops after the wedding. It's such a waste of money. So, if you don't want any stress nor disappointment, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I provided my feedback to the wedding coordinator but her response was "Sorry! I will let the food and beverage manager know". But no one contacted me for fixing them. I don't recommend any future brides to deal with this kind of management. Save your stress for other things!!!

While respecting our budget, Wendy listened to what my daughter wanted for her wedding and made it happen. Wendy was with us every step of the way...and was there throughout the wedding and reception.... She was our voice of reason when we needed one. I was very lucky to have found this place (after several unsuccessful searches to find a small indoor venue for our hour long ceremony). Weddings on Wirt will hold up to 30 people. Although the space is the small, the little touches like the gold chairs (which are part of your hourly rental) and historical looking furnishings are a nice alternative to getting married at the courthouse (also looks better in pictures than a courthouse). Suzanne (the owner of Legacy Weddings and proprietary of Weddings on Wirt) is very accommodating. If you have a small event planned the space and add-ons available are perfect. (Although, the space is typically used for weddings. Suzanne is flexible (and told me) she has hosted other events at space, like baby showers). I loved the fact that Weddings on Wirt has wedding packages and gives their prices up front. We decided for example to add a small cake and sparkling cider toast to our hourly package after our ceremony was finished (we made this decision, a week before the ceremony, and Suzanne didn't mind the last minute decisions). In a nutshell, I recommend this space for a small gathering due to its flexible terms and affordability.

We met with Suzanne and I liked her immediately. She's very kind and outgoing, honest but not harsh about anything. She listened to my wants/needs/ideas and was just as enthusiastic about them as I was. She threw out a name of a venue nearby and it ended up being exactly what we were looking for, and we went with it! To start, I loved the Wirt house, so charming! She was very factual and really knew her stuff. She pointed out a ton of things I hadn't even begun to think about, and I have NO idea what I would have done without her! I learned from this whole ordeal that I am a closet control freak, and I took on planning most of the wedding myself when I should have let go of the reins...but Suzanne was incredibly patient and understanding with me, even while I was having meltdowns throughout the year due to the combined stress of wedding planning and my ongoing career roadbumps. When my job became too difficult to attend some of the vendor meetings she went in my place and didn't miss a beat. As for the final wedding day, I'm convinced she's a superhero. There was SO MUCH going on, so many things to attend to and oversee, and she did it all completely by herself! No assistants or anything, I would have needed at least 3 to do all of that! And she did all of this while I had turned myself completely off a couple weeks before the big day. I simply had no more to give and she took it like a champ and was still smiling from ear to ear. I loved that she was, if not more, excited about the wedding and wasn't just looking at it like it was a job she had to get through. I have zero experience with weddings, never gave much thought to mine until I got engaged...so I have nothing to compare it to but honestly I have no regrets about using Suzanne. Thanks for making my special day seemingly flawless!

This will be a long review so TLDR: Danny and his staff are the best there is and their food is…read moreeven better! It's truly difficult to express how amazing Danny and his staff made our wedding event. As we were working to find a chef for our small wedding reception/garden party, Danny stuck out simply because we liked the pictures of his food, but after we met with him, we knew he was the perfect chef for us. He made us feel comfortable from the start (LGBTQIA+ friendly) and understood our tastes and interests from just a 30 minute intro call. We signed our contract with him several months out from the event, but he always kept in touch to make sure our heads were still in the same place in how we wanted to celebrate our wedding. Moving to the actual event, we hosted ~22 people for a cocktail style garden party. Danny came up with an amazing menu including: - Cheese plate (very high quality cheeses; these leftovers made for spectacular girl dinners) - The popcorn project (very cute apps with a special, Danny-made seasoning I can't stop thinking about) - Guacamole three ways (fabulous) - Black bean mango salsa (so refreshing for an outdoor party) - Pimento cheese dip (if you only have one stationary plate option, you should definitely get this) - Black bean hummus (added to our menu last minute and it did not disappoint) - Gazpacho shots (refreshing and elevated) - Shrimp lollipops (perfect way to start the event) - Scallop ceviche (my wife's favorite dish) - Brisket sliders (my favorite dish) - Mini cupcakes (soooooo cute and the perfect size to allow you to try all of the flavors) - Thin mint drunken milkshakes (a perfect way to cap off the night) For drinks, we had a few signature cocktails, lots of wine, and a few non-alcoholic drinks. Danny has a knack for coming up with differentiated cocktails that still bring together all of the flavors you know and love, just at an elevated level. I highly recommend the Santero (mojito adjacent) and my wife loved his bourbon cocktail. We had a few non-alcoholic drinkers and they loved the blood orange margarita. And beyond the food, Danny's staff was perfect. Jessalyn and Camilla were so warm and welcoming and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. The kitchen was a little tight to begin with, but they made more than do with the resources they had and left the kitchen in better condition than how it started. Danny and his sous chef, Cat, were busy and possibly overwhelmed, but didn't show it at all. The cadence the food was sent out was perfect and we loved that we got to chit chat with the whole staff in between courses. When we first met Danny, we told him that with all of the money in the world, we still would want to have a very small wedding reception with a private chef. Danny's personality, food, staff, etc. etc. made it better than we ever could have anticipated.
