I can't say enough good things about this place. The front office staff gies above and beyond, especially Nancy, who has been nothing but kind and helpful. I've been taking an adult class with instructor Dotti Berry. She is an amazing teacher, instructing from the heart and sharing her wealth of knowledge and love of art! Whether it's fundamentals, techniques or color basics, she is right there to guide you every step of the way. I've taken classes at other studios that are not as good as Cordovan. It's not that those other places were bad, it's that this studio is so much better!

Heart songs has been a gift for my boy, he treasures his time there with the teachersread more

Heartsong is amazing! It is so great for music and language development! The space the owner…read more(Carey) has created is wonderful for playing before/after class and connecting with the other families. My son does several paid activity classes during the week (music, gym, dance, etc.) - this is by far the best value for your money. You'll get music, teachers who have studied the curriculum and Montessori education, movement, language development, and a beautiful space for play and community after class. My son started at 11 months and I wish we started earlier! For weeks he just sat in our laps and listened most of the class. He seemed like he wasn't super excited but he was actually just slowly absorbing everything! It's now been four months and he gets so excited every time he hears music he starts dancing and smiling! We listen to all the songs in the car and someties at home and he's started singing along to several words from different songs. He even remembers which words/sounds are coming next - it's so adorable to hear him in the back of the car singing! Heartsong has been great for language development too - an unexpected plus! My son started saying words with difficult sounds (e.g., "car") that we hadn't heard as a babble sound or really used often and we figured out it's because the "ca"/"ka" sound is used in several songs we're singing this semester. Neat! I love that Heartsong follows the Music Together curriculum which means you do the same set of about 25 songs over the 10-week "semester" and then move to a different set. This allows time for the kids to get used to the sound of a song over the semester. The songs have been developed to help with language development (lots of different sounds), music development, and even self-regulation (slower/faster). I love that the teachers offer insights on why certain things they do help with development. The in-class experience will vary by teacher. Keep that in mind if you decide to do demo classes first.

We've been going to Summer Spark the past three summers, and my two 8 year olds are so excited to…read morego back this summer. This is such a special camp. The owner picks very high quality staff (teachers, I'm pretty sure) and trains them very well. It's not just a camp, it's a giant leap forward in your child's social, emotional development and problem solving skills. But the kids would not tell you that, they just love that they are having fun! I love that they get out and explore nature and create stuff out of recycled materials to solve fun challenges. They also learn the vocabulary of growth mindset and team work. The only drawback has been the location - but they've already fixed that by expanding to additional locations. Oh, and yes, it is one of the most expensive camps, but it's worth it!

One of my children who has loved dance has been stuffed into classes of 20-30 dancers. The owner used to respond to concerns, but this year I have tried to address this 3+ times with no resolution. After noticing the owners daughter was in glasses with 5-7 dancers, I see why she isn't concerned.

Ms. Erin has a great, relaxed way of teaching the kids but still allowing them to make artistic decisions. The art show was cool though not by kiddo's cup of tea but a valuable experience for her. I have already recommended Art+Academy/Ms. Erin to friends. In contrast, we are on day one of a museum art camp this week and my kiddo says the teacher isn't good. She said, the instructor gave no advice on how to draw 3D shapes and most importantly didn't come around to help us/comment on our drawings but was reading a book instead. For anyone who is weighing options, I highly recommend Art Plus Academy. We will definitely be back next summer!
