I saw first hand how she is able to tend to children based on their own particular needs and how she wants them to learn and grow in her care. My son is on his second day of kindergarten, though he is in Stepping Stone's after school program. As soon as I picked him up from his first day in the after school program, he wanted to go see Ms Alicia. I can't fully express how much Stepping Stone influenced our family in a very positive way, made my son happier about going to preK - so much so that he was sometimes sad when it was the weekend and he wouldn't see Alicia or his friends. Over the summer, he took swimming lessons with Stepping Stone and he learned SO much. I really enjoyed all of his artwork and how prepared he is for kindergarten. Ms Alicia really helped us prepare him for school - both academically and socially. I cannot say enough good things about our experience in Ms Alicia's class. The front office staff is kind and I always enjoy seeing them in the morning. Ms Connie is very kind and I'm certain we will enjoy Brodie's time in the after school program, where he is dropped off and picked up from school and is offered play time after school as well as homework time.

We wanted a Montessori program but those are tough to get into in Austin. Jenny made it work so that we could get into the babies class with our son and was very clear and professional about how she could not promise he would be able to go past 18 months into Toddler class because there were others in line. But, they made room for him over the next 2 months as they renovated and shuffled classes around, now he can stay at this great school we only thought we'd be guests at. It wouldn't have happened if not for the wonderfully positive attitude the staff here has, their attitude toward providing the best experience for you and your kid in sometimes a stressful situation, whether rushing in the morning or during a fussy day for your child. The teachers here are very loving, and they are true role models that you would want your children to be around with. I can see that my child has better manners after she enrolled. The school operates normal hours from 9-2 pm, M-F. with early extended hours at 8:00 am. You may also come in for MWF or TTH. It is unfortunate that they do not have extended hours after 2 pm. The classes are very structured, but they are more focused on the breadth of knowledge than depth. Also be aware that if you enroll M-F, some of the classes may be duplicated for your children as they planned lectures to ensure everyone had a chance to participate. I think it might be a good idea to not enroll M-F and choose MWF or TTH. The only thing that I would ever ask for improvement is the extended hours and no food heating for children's lunch.

Each week they have a theme like "going to the farm" and "transportation" and set up stations through out the house that apply to it. It feels very "kid-led" in the best way. She can decide when she wants to work on her canvas that they create through the session, or if she wants to work on a science experiment, play with lights, etc. There is so much sensory play activities and I love how it's okay to get messy and learn at the same time. The outdoor space is super fun. There is a large wall the kids can paint on. Lots of stations that encourage them to use their imaginations. We love the mud kitchen and the little "store" set up. Lots of time was spent on the pretend phone taking orders. We live in the Tarrytown area so it's a little bit of a drive but 100% worth it. There are such few places that invite toddlers in and lead the way. The next session starts in January and we are really trying to make it work the preschool schedule and nap times.

The school drug their feet and did not reach back out to us for 5 days despite us calling multiple times. In that time we made other arrangements. I spoke to a member of their staff several days before the charge occurred and said we weren't really sure what were we going to do but would reach out at the beginning of the new year. Out of nowhere we get charged $309 enrollment fee. We asked that it be returned. The school says it's non refundable. If $309 is what it costs to keep my sons out of a inattentive, nonrepsonsive, lackadaisical school then it is money well spent.

Our child also had no reports provided for any incidents and for three consecutive days the work sent from school was a scribbled boat/heart etc. which talks about a phenomenon of checkbox teaching. Our child otherwise can trace all letters of the alphabet - use scissors - paint and talk fluently. In these three weeks we saw a clear regression. Management is somehow not concerned about this kind of classroom mismanagement - In fact we were told that the teacher is extremely good and provided all praise in the orientation. The motto of play to learn is used more for marketing and less for real learning. If you are looking for purely childcare and your child is happy with the play with no kids pushing them around(which was communicated to us by our child multiple time and we asked for any incidents - zero reports - only response we got was "he was good"), you can go here. If you want proper child education with empathy - last place to go if you have a 4 year old toddler. Our little one who is 1.5 had an amazing time and that classroom was actually doing and effective job so I would conclude by saying that the management and the specific teacher is our primary concern. After we complained to the district head - suddenly our child was promoted to ms.Terry's class and started getting all the things promised in the previous class and the tone of management completely changed. That level of turnover made it very difficult for the classroom to have the consistency, structure, and experienced instruction we expected. At this age, children need a reliable presence to build emotional safety, trust, and developmental confidence. Instead, the classroom often felt unstable, and we saw noticeable changes in behavior during periods of teacher turnover and classroom stress. To be clear, this is not a criticism of every teacher. We are grateful for Ms. Jordan, Ms. Spivey, and Ms. McNulty, who cared for our daughter and did their best in a difficult environment. The issue, in our view, was administrative: hiring, training, supporting, and retaining teachers, as well as listening to parent concerns. We raised concerns earlier in the year and requested a classroom change, but we did not feel heard. When changes were eventually made, teachers were moved again, despite our desire for consistency. Over time, the repeated disruptions broke our confidence in the school. Several families ultimately chose to leave, which speaks to how serious the concerns became. We were disappointed there was no inquiry, exit conversation, or request for feedback after our departure. Without stronger administrative accountability, I worry other families may experience the same challenges.

Their teacher was so great, so so great. Even after they moved on from her class they would give her a huge hug every time they saw her in the hall. Now they are in the 4-year-old class and meet three times a week, and it has been such a great experience for both myself and my kids. So much that I already want to have my youngest go next year since the other two will be moving on to kindergarten, and it's such a warm place where the staff are so helpful and friendly. I'm sure that the director doesn't know my name, but she definitely knows who both of my kids are, and she is always willing to talk to me whenever I have a question. She also meets with the kids each week during chapel, which my kids have really loved. There are so many places to take your children to, and they range so much in quality as well as affordability. The Fellowship is such a great price, I believe, for what I get, and I have never had anything but a positive experience there. I know my kids are safe with the staff, and I especially love their teacher this year. I can see how much she cares for these kids. We have seen her a few times at the market and she greets them, genuinely happy to see them. It's such a reassuring, peaceful feeling knowing that your kids are in good hands.
