The venue canceled the show two days before the date. Not a good way to run your business.

They have an outdoor patio space with chairs and tables and a food cart in case you get hungry. I must say for dive bar food, the hibachi was pretty good! Inside, there are a few mini games (darts) and two pool tables. They don't have a bar area where you can sit but there are high tables inside with chairs and a mini dance floor. It was pretty much packed at 10pm. The day I went, they were playing mostly r&b and hip-hop. Drinks weren't too expensive ($14 for Don Julio Repo and Ginger Ale) and people seemed friendly to me! I hear there are karaoke nights here too? But I'm not sure what days those are on. I had fun!

But if you're trying to play pool, forget it--unless you get there early, you'll be waiting forever. The DJ on Fridays really doesn't play the best music, and they don't take song requests, which kind of kills the vibe. The drinks weren't great either--honestly, I'd stick to shots. Everything we tried was way too sweet, and the Mexican candy shot was a joke. Maybe it was just the night we went, but it wasn't it. It's a local spot in Rancho, so I'll give it that, but I'd honestly rather go to Spectators Sports Bar or just head out to Riverside instead. The crowd can get pretty trashy, in my opinion. One upside though--the food vendors outside are actually really good. And Saturdays can get wild... like really wild. The last time we went, it got so crazy the police ended up shutting it down.

This year we got the usual great lineup but instead of the DIY style show in a parking lot, Professor Vic moved it to the Cathedral. Located right off Garey, The Cathedral is tough to miss. There's plenty of street parking on Center St and there's also a small parking lot across the street. This used to be a YMCA but it looks like an old church with dark wood flooring, high ceilings and stained glass windows. A very cool venue. How did it sound? Loud. Extremely loud. They also had a huge video board which gave each band a little extra hot sauce. There were a couple of bars in the back and you could also order food. It's air conditioned in there but between the heat (100+ outside at the time) and the amount of bodies inside, it was at least bearable. Mosh for Youth was great as always and while I loved the DIY ethos in the past this felt like a leap forward. The sound, look and venue made this feel big time. I hope future MFY shows take place here...until they maybe outgrow this place too, which would mean more scholarships for the kids. Highly recommended!

From the moment we walked in, the energy was fun, lively, and exactly what we were hoping for to kick off such a special night. The atmosphere was festive without feeling overcrowded, the music was on point, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. Every cocktail we tried was well-made and came out quickly, even with the holiday rush. It felt like the perfect mix of Valentine's vibes and party celebration. A huge shoutout to our waitress -- she was AMAZING. She was so attentive, friendly, and patient with our group (which is no small task with a bachelor/bachelorette crew!). She kept the drinks flowing, made sure we had everything we needed, and truly added to the fun of the night with her great attitude. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers. Thank you for helping us create such a fun, memorable Valentine's celebration for the soon-to-be newlyweds. We'll definitely be back!

We had a very disappointing experience with our waitress, Abby. When we first sat down, she took…read moreour drink order right away. At the time there were only about three other tables besides us, so it didn't seem busy. However, after delivering our drinks, she never came back to take our food order. Over the next 15 minutes, at least five other groups were seated. Abby took all of their drink orders and then returned to each of their tables to take their food orders after delivering their drinks, while completely ignoring us. Multiple times we tried to get her attention, but she kept turning her back to our table and never acknowledged us. After waiting and being ignored repeatedly, we went up to the bar to try to place our food order there. Unfortunately, the person at the bar said she wouldn't place our order because Abby was supposed to be handling the inside tables. At that point we felt completely stuck. Abby seems to have a reputation for ignoring customers, but this experience was on another level. After waiting far too long with no service and no way to place a food order, we finally gave up, paid for our drinks, and left. We come here very frequently with family and friends, but after this experience we will likely NOT be returning. We'll also be sharing our experience with others. Customer service should never feel like customers are being intentionally ignored. Abby either needs serious training on customer service or the restaurant needs to reconsider who they have representing them on the floor.

And their bartenders are so good you could tell them what you want and they'll make it to your liking. Like what kind of liquor, sweet, fruity, tart, refreshing etc. Their knowledge of what goes together is amazing. My wife and I ordered the same drink but asked for totally different liquors and it was amazing. They do have a food menu, which is the same as the main restaurant, but no samdwhichs or burgers. They are really quick with the drinks. And they taste amazing. Prices are like $15, which you cant find anymore. Especially with their quality!! The drinks look so pretty. The food is good too Tacos are amazing, brussel sprouts are good. Everything here is good. And yhe food comes out quickly too!! The decor is dark. Very dim lights. Odd art on the walls. So you can hear everyone's conversations. Fortunately for us this time around there was only 1 other person at the bar. So it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Bartender was super cool.
