I didn't have enough cash on me so he started the machines for me that way I can go to the ATM to pull out cash. (The ATM is just a door down). He provided the detergent and was super friendly. I would totally come again. The price is super reasonable as well. £5 for the washer and £1 per 8 minutes for the dryer.

I did the old Google search and Pablo's jumped off of the page with great reviews. How could I resist? An added bonus was the it was very close to our hotel. I grabbed my laundry bag, slung it over my shoulder, and headed towards Pablo's. Upon entering, I sized up the place fairly quickly and the gentleman (Pablo, I'm guessing) approached me and he offered up the most efficient way to get my laundry done. Sadly, I had no British pounds (US dollars, Euros, and a handful of credit cards). The machines need British coins. He grabbed a bag of coins, deposited them into my machine, got my laundry going, and instructed me to go to the cash machine (literally 2 doors down) to pay for my laundry. I had 2 weeks of laundry, probably 8 or so kilos and the total for everything was 15 pounds. Not terrible at all! I spent most of my time looking at all of the pictures on the walls and reading the descriptions. The hospitality was as good as it gets. It is refreshing when you get to interact with someone who is great at what they do and is so personable. I can't say enough great things.

After trailing around the shops in Birmingham, it became apparent that shopping for a suitable yet stylish outfit for a Godmother to be was not going to be an easy task with such short notice. Too small, too big, not smart enough, the list goes on! It was coming to the end of the day and we needed to buy an outfit. We opted for a skirt suit, the skirt fitted perfectly but the jacket didn't look as fitted as it could. We found Karlus' website online and made an appointment. He was really helpful and made my mum feel at ease. His attention to detail was perfect and my mum looked great on the photos. We have a wedding coming up and will definitely be using him again in the future.

He s recently moved to a swanky new studio on Vyse st above a jewellery shop. I usually make a trip with some random vintage dress I've bought that doesn't fit or occasionally with my favourite pieces that are now too big for me ( I've been shrinking a bit recently). Karlus listens intently to what I need and always delivers the dress improvements to deadline, sometimes staying late so I can pop in on my way home from work. He tailored a beautiful vintage suit that my other half found in a vintage barn and it now fits him perfectly...not bad for £30 charge. I couldn't recommend him enough and he ll be tailoring the other halves wedding suit and my mum s dress for our summer wedding!

There tailoring service is very common over there (you can find one on almost every street) and its very cheap. When she moved to Birmingham with me, I think one of the first things she asked me was if there was a place she could get her clothes adjusted. I honestly could not answer, it's not the sort of service I've ever really needed before. While mooching around the Indoor Market in the city centre we found City Tailoring. Prices might not be as cheap as in Brazil, but it is still pretty cheap, certainly not as expensive as I thought it would be. To shorten legs, for example, it will cost £7. They even fix leather jackets, I thought this would be much more expensive but it only costs around £15 to shorten the arms. It's not only shortening they do, they take care of all kinds of alterations, fit new buttons and zips, reline jackets they even make curtains. It's all really cheap and the guy there is a nice fella. There is a quick turnaround and they always look busy. Looks like a good place for any basic tailoring needs!
