We were set…read moreto buy new carpets due to my partner leaving footprints of shoe polish leading from the lounge to the dining room. I decided to call C A Services to see if they could save our carpet. I could not believe the brilliant results Owen had achieved, there was no evidence of any staining! I must say we have used C A Cleaning Services for a number of years and I recommend this company to my friends and family. The service is always prompt, reliable with a competitive price.

I just moved into a new property so needed a cleaner. Donka was a lovely lady! She came in and…read morestarted work straight away, very professional. Had brought all her own cleaning supplies. She finished the job under 3 hours which I was extremely pleased with as it would have taken me much longer. Everything I asked for was done and to a very high standard. All kitchen appliances were also cleaned. Highly reccomend Donka and Clean2Clean.

A family run business which opened in 2007, this is a posh hat shop based on Islington Row…read more I used to live in the flats above this shop and was always a bit curious about it but never dared to go in - some people can wear hats and sadly I'm not one of them. However I was recently invited to a wedding and now that fascinators are 'de rigour' thought this was perhaps my chance to have a mooch. The fact they had a 20% off sign in the window was all the extra encouragement I needed. I have to say they have some really lovely stuff - I was particularly taken with a black and white polka dot number but sadly - even with the discount this was way out of my price range. Staff seemed nice and the stock seemed well made. Intrigued I also had a quick look on their website when I got home - more lovely things awaited including some rather fab gents hats (trilby's mostly) and a 'made to order' range.

This carpet shop is extremely large and there is a large range of carpets to suit any needs…read more We purchased a large bedroom carpet for a very reasonable price from T C Carpets, for only £40 it was an absolute bargain considering it was brand new and fit perfectly. The staff are really helpful and often offer a delivery service if you are in dire need of help. The carpets are of very high quality, but they also offer a range of cheaper, less quality carpets at discount prices when they want to get rid of them! They are worth rummaging through or asking staff about because they are never worn or torn, but are still really good.

I couldn't speak highly enough of my recent experience with ABC in Walsall. Whilst I have been away…read morein hospital and in recovery I wanted a full deep clean of most of my home (which also had some extra requirements and 3rd party specialist involvement so it was a fair size project, which also needed to be done at pretty short notice) - they took the project on, professionally assessed what needed to be done, identified my needs well, and despite being busy with other jobs too, fitted my project in according to a timescale and cost agreed before they commenced work. They are a brilliant, flexible, friendly team who went "above and beyond" to help me out and fulfill my requirements, keeping in contact throughout the course of the job and making sure I was happy with progress along the way. I would absolutely recommend them to anybody, without question. 10/10 to Jim and the team from me :-)

If there's a job to be done around the house, then I'd rather someone else do it than do it myself…read more And I'm lucky(?) in that I follow in my mainland European roots by renting rather than owning my home, so it is usually up to someone else to arrange and carry out repairs. This shop is particularly handy for one thing. The owner must have close links with someone who works at a weather station. He always knows when it will snow and as soon as the blanket of white falls there will be plastic sledges on display. Its either that or he has loads of sledges in storage somewhere and just plonks them out front, but that's not a very mystical or magical explanation. So, when Argos have run out of human-propelled snow vehicles, and you are at a loose end, here is where to come.

I have never gone into this shop and been unable to find what I'm looking for. It is stacked from floor to ceiling with useful stuff. The staff are really knowledgable and helpful. The last time I went in I needed some clear grout for the kitchen. Had absolutely no idea where to find it, what it was or how to use it. When I turned up in the shop I also had my son in the pushchair. The guys behind the counter patienty explained what I would need, went to get it for me as I couldn't manoeuvre the pushchair round the narrow shelves and then showed me how to use it. Thy even fitted the grout ino the gun thingy for me. Now, that is hat I call service. The price is good, the service great and it's a bit like a DIY grotto, what more could you possibly want from a local shop.

Supercigs is one of those really special little shops for really good value…read more Supercigs is just before you go down to the city arcade, red fronted shop with a white sign. Yhe shop is very narrow but very long too. Magazines are lined up and the left hand side taking over much of the entire wall, from floor to ceiling. These consist of magazines be it hair or gaming ones to fhm etc etc. They also have newspapers too as do all newsagents papershops. On the right hand sisde of the shop you find lots of sweets, these are usually bagged up and are great value for money. The shop also sells drinks to, these are also at a great price. Definately one not to miss. The till is at the back of the shop with friendly helpful staff, always seemingly happy. This is the only one in coventry unless the one in bell green, riley square still exsists which is a shame as this shop does a roaring trade due to their great prices.
