Afternoon atmosphere wasn't great. The decorations are awesome. If you're coming for beer/drinks only, it's totally fine! Plenty of TVs and seats at the bar. Food: I ordered the Bill Clinton(should have known better!). It's a beef dog with chili and cheddar cheese. Hubby ordered the LBJ. It's a beef dog with chili, cheese sauce, bacon, jalapeños and onions. Mine came with cheese sauce, not shredded cheddar. The chili was barely warm. The dog was barely warm and the sauce was flavorless. Plus not what I wanted. I specifically ordered that item so I wouldn't get cheese sauce. Hubby's was "fine". Good chili dog. Servers kept the beers coming... I wouldn't come here for the food. Bummer. read more

Cousin is working out here so the fam and I made the hour and a half drive to have lunch. The burgers were great, according to my very picky father. When I tell you he's picky, I mean he generally chews the meat and spits it out. He did not do that this time! Not only was the food good, so were the drinks and the bartenders. Met some friends for wings at the recommendation of another friend. They did not disappoint! We had the triple fried garlic Parmesan and they were delicious. We both thought they were a good sized portion, tender and meaty. The blue cheese was also tasty. Service was excellent and our glasses were never empty. We had been to the College Station location and I found it dark and cave like. The Bryan location was much lighter, brighter and open. We will definitely return when we are in town. read more

The Angry Elephant is a decent bar in BCS, very popular in the area. Ambiance is good, with a Republican/ political theme going on. Food is good, I usually get the Trump burger, but the triple fried wings and hotdogs are good too. I tried an Asian style hotdog they offered, and it was really good. Service is good, unless it gets crazy busy then you're waiting for your drinks, which is typical for busy bars. I avoid Karaoke nights like the plague, too loud and annoying IMHO. The music gets loud on weekend nights, so I do avoid those times as well, guess I'm getting old;) I come here with my friends and have a round or two then take off, and I hear stories about fights on the back patio area. Never witnessed that and would rather not. Overall, this is a decent bar with decent food and service. read more

This is the third time I've come to this establishment, giving them the benefit of the doubt. The food is fantastic, but the service sucks. Either they are extremely understaffed or don't pay attention to their sections. Having to wave the staff down to order drinks several times, and my husband being skipped over when ordering food is why we won't be coming back. The sad part is we really love the food and atmosphere. It seems like every waiter had never waited tables before this last visit. Hiring based on looks and not skills is not a great way to run a business. Management may need to retrain staff at this location or possibly hire individuals who have experience. read more

I was told this place had great hot dogs, and I am a sucker for great hotdogs. It's a shame I never got to try any food. My friend and I decided to try this place in the mid afternoon, definitely not a crazy busy time for a restaurant. we walked in and past a server talking to some one while petting a dog. There were maybe ten whole people in this bar, not that crazy, 80% were just drinking at the bar, and there were two servers(one petting a dog). Upon entering, the server at the bar made eye contact with us, so I was sure we would be helped soon. nope. The women at the bar just sat there and watched a soccer game while chatting with some one drinking. My friend walked up to the bar and leaned in as you would if you were looking for the attention of the bartender. nothing. We sat there for 5 minutes, nothing. We walked out, past the first server, who had never stopped petting the dog. I will make sure to recommenced never going here to every one I can. Thanks guys! read more

We liked the concept of The Angry Elephant and really wanted to like this place. We tried the one in College Station a few weeks ago and were disappointed. We had heard the Bryan location is better so we decided to try that one. The actual physical location is a bit nicer. However, the food is overpriced and not as tasty as it sounds or looks. The Ronald Reagan Burger sounded great, but it definitely wasn't. The meat was so dry and favorless that I actually couldn't even finish eating it (and believe me when I say that's something I never do). The one dressing it came with was chipotle mayo, but there was so little of that I couldn't even taste it, so I asked for a little more. Imagine my surprise when the bill came and they had charged me an addition 50 cents for a condiment that should have already been on my $15 burger to start with! After giving The Angry Elephant two chances I can safely say we will never go back (at least for the food). As a bar with a lot of TV screens to watch sports it is fine, but not for the food. In fact my stomach as been bother me all evening and I can't think of any other reason that the food from The Angry Elephant. read more

The Chuck Norris sandwich was the toughest most flavorless chicken I have ever eaten in my life. I would have said something to the wait staff, but they never checked on us. The chicken was one of the toughest pieces of meat I have ever tried to eat. What truly brings this down to a single star was being actively ignored by the wait staff. This used to be my favorite place it took so long to get a beverage wait staff was rude and wanted to blame it on a new computer system. This was the third week we've been in there listening to them complain about the computer system. I get it you work at a bar and you might not be that smart but it doesn't take that much to try to remember how to work a computer system and take an order and deliver it to a table.
