This is the CUTEST shop. The decor is french country and just adorable. Prices are wonderful and drinks are delicious. After passing by the shop several times, I was so excited to finally get the chance to step in to such a beautiful and ambient shop! Felt like I was back in San Francisco. Sadly I was not greeted when entering the shop, I went over to the boutique side only to find the tenant looking on her phone asking me how I was doing with out ever looking at me. It felt like the staff was not fully present with what they were doing or selling. My main complaint is when I ordered an almond milk flat white it was not good, when I took off the lid there was no foam or any indication this was a flat white. Simply put all it was was semi warmed almond milk (not barista blend) and poorly made espresso ( not ristretto shots). When I expressed to the barista that it was not a flat white she didn't know what a flat white was and didn't ask when she took my order. For such a hip looking place its easy to mistake for third wave coffee that serves artisan coffee by trained barista's who know how to pour a great cup of latte art. The barista did not seem to be very knowledge able about how to make espresso drinks . She was willing to learn when I asked her to re make it. The second try was a little better but I hardly could taste the espresso. This shop has the potential to be a real gem in Versailles, I really hope they can improve their coffee and train their staff in order to increase their business. read more

I love the vibe this place brings to downtown Versailles. It is very well done in terms of aesthetics, and it's nice to see they feature local artists. However, customer service could really use a makeover . A my friend ordered a latte that didn't quite taste right and when she requested a redo the barista wasn't thrilled . (It's ok to make mistakes) it's even better if attitude when a mistake is pointed out is friendly instead of defensive , it's good for gaining the natives return business ! I'll definitely be back the coffee is pretty good when it's done proper. read more

This place would have received more stars but, the person working this morning had a time making coffee and did not have just regular sweetener for coffee. It is nice to see they support and sell midway bakery items. The shop "next door" is in the same building but has different hours and just a sign in the doorway to it. It took 10 minutes for two coffees and scones. The building is beautiful and has been very well done. To a point where it looks as though it could have been the original decor with minimal new items around to take away from it. The maximum occupancy is 19. Hopefully it will grow and prosper in downtown! read more

The Amsden is amazing. It's in the beautiful downtown Versailles, in such a great location. The coffee is amazing. Their White Chocolate Mocha is the best I've ever had, hot or iced. I love their seasonal events. They have fun festivities for the holidays, which is great. They also have a cute little shop with some amazing local goodies! Highly recommend. read more

Gorgeous coffee shop that's cozy, but the coffee is mediocre and the service is surly bordering on bitchy. The coffee shop wasn't busy when I visited, so it's not like anyone was stressed out from serving a rush of customers in that moment. I'm in no rush to return until they at least learn to smile or even grin. read more

Finally got to try this place! The decor and atmosphere are lovely. I had a hot cocoa and my sister had a cappuccino. The drinks were a bit pricey, but similar to Starbucks. The place was entirely empty when we visited, which was slightly unusual, but we loved getting to watch downtown Versailles from the beautiful windows. read more

Stopped today 11/25/17 for the opening day, beautiful little coffee shop in historic building in downtown Versailles. Really busy with all the new buzz even at noon. It was too late in the day for me for a milk drink but the espresso was good and enjoyed it looking over the gift shop next door. This is a nice addition to the downtown and hours listed we're going to extend the normal time I think about going out downtown. read more

What a cute place to get a coffee & muffin or such. However the tables need to be rearranged! I could not get into my seat even though the person behind me was not seated at the time. They have a nice adjoining boutique with clothing at an affordable price & has crafted jewelry & some home furnishings. Don't forget to check out their real succulents. We are so glad to have the Amsden in Versailles! Versailles could so easily be more like Midway, and I'm glad that the Amsden has gotten us one step closer to that. Coffee delicious. And they have unsweetened almond milk as you alternative milk, which is hard to find. I appreciate this because I am unable to have sugar or sweetener due to medical reasons. Yes it's very cute and trendy inside but that's where it stops. I ordered a dark coffee and it was lukewarm at best. The coffee tasted bitter or overground. There were 4 different kinds of baked goods and none looked that good. There's only a few tables to sit at and the chairs for those tables barely fit under them. Not much space to maneuver. If you have more than two people in your party I'd just go to Starbucks. It's not as cute but at least my coffee tastes good and it's hot. Not worth it. read more

Nice, very cute store that has great aesthetics and vibe. However, the coffee was very bad. I tried to enjoy it (I got an almond milk latte) but I just could not get over how poor it was. They have all the potential in the world, but they have to get their coffee right! I had been once before and enjoyed the coffee, so I'm not sure how things changed so quickly. Also, consider offering more dairy subs than almond milk. I'm sure plenty of people coming to a place like this are lookIng for dairy substitutes. read more

I am new to Versailles and was immediately told to check this place out. I ordered a peppermint latte (which was so delicious and very well priced) and browsed around the cutest little shop that is connected to the coffee shop! The workers were both very kind, sweet and helpful! This place gets an A++ in my book. read more

A friend and I visited the Amsden yesterday making a special trip to Versailles to check out the vendors inside. We follow on social media and it looked so promising from the photos. When we went into the vendor area, the lady working the desk did not acknowledge us the entire time and sat viewing her phone. When I asked about finding the price of a pair of earrings it took 3 times to get her attention. Also, when I asked about the price of renting a space, she said she didn't know the price and I could contact Emily. I was disappointed in the types of merchandise along with the amount presented. For such a small new business I would expect employees to be more interested in their customers. read more
