Tour guides were well informed about the area, recommending local spots to eat and explore! We used our time to site see, go snorkeling and whale watch. Although we did not get to see any whales on our trip, we did swim RIGHT next to turtles, spinning dolphins swam next to our boat and we saw a harmless shark around the coral reefs. A must do in Hawaii for sure! Don't bother going with any other company. This place you get your own private boat and they basically go where you want to go. We wanted to see turtles and starfish. And they knew the spots and we snorkeled and josh even dove 30 ish feet to let me hold one. I almost started crying as that's my bucket list. Bonus we saw a ton of make whales trying to mate with a female so they were out of the water a lot. Great boat ride. We decided to do a charter boat while already here on vacation, and were fortunate that The Adventure Boat was available. We did a 2.5 hour tour that started at 11:00 AM, and had a great time. We had a nice cruise up the coast, and they spotted a couple of turtles for us to stop and admire. We were looking for dolphins - but unfortunately didn't see any. We then stopped at their own snorkeling spot and saw a few different types of fish. After finishing snorkeling, we still had some time left so cruised around looking for dolphins... but still didn't see any. These guys really provided a fun and enjoyable experience. I decided to take a few visiting friends on The Adventure Boat a few months ago and i have been a regular since, taking all of my visiting friends for an exhilarating ride! Captain Chris is super accommodating, knowledgeable and safe. I've seen countless turtles, dolphins and even false killer whales! He seems to have a lot of insider local knowledge having grown up on Oahu, and having been connected to the water sport business for literally decades. His boat is tidy, clean and also super durable. We had the best time on the adventure boat! Captain Chris has a nice setup...fast and clean! We brought some of our favorite Maui Brews and they stayed ice cold in the onboard YETI (cooler). We were so lucky to get a reservation with The Adventure Boat on such short notice! We decided we wanted a private charter to snorkel and cruise around, and was able to get a reservation for the very next day. They provided a very fun and personalized tour experience based on what we wanted to do. We wanted to see dolphins and snorkel and we did exactly that! We saw so many dolphins, turtles, and fishes. We also just wanted to chill and cruise around at the end of the tour so they took us around for the last 20 minutes or so. Thank you for an amazing and fun experience! These guys provides friendly personalized tour experience. Our tour started at the dock next to the Hilton lagoon (within walking distance from our hotel). First stop was to a frequent turtle spot where we saw multiple turtles while in the water. On the way to the second location, we saw a large school of dolphins with some spinning out of the water. On the second spot, we snorkeled with a ton of fish and saw another turtle, sea urchins and an octopus. We had three adults and three kids in our party. The kids finished snorkeling first and they watched our kids while the adults continued snorkeling. These guys genuinely want you to have a good time unlike big corporate tours. 2.5 hours was the perfect amount of time. I suggest the 8am tour time to maximize chance of seeing dolphins/sea turtles. read more

Captain Chris, his first mate Ryan, and Morgan the mechanic were an excellent crew, and we really enjoyed their hospitality and flexibility in working with us to make sure we had a great time. They have tons of local knowledge they're happy to share, and they do a really great job communicating up front to make sure everything is squared away when you get there. We were hoping we'd get to see some turtles and scout out some good snorkeling spots, and they nailed it for us. Plus it's always nice to support a veteran-owned business. So much fun! We went snorkeling and the captain and crew were so helpful showing us how to use the gear and the private attention they gave us really made us feel safe. Some of my friends had never snorkeled before and they had a great time too. There were a bunch of turtles and they were so close that the crew had to remind us not to touch them! Booked online, and soon after, received a call from Captain Chris, who made sure to inquire about our group, what type of experience we were looking for, and to offer suggestions as to where to go and what to do during our adventure. We showed up, the boat was on time, and away we went. Our teenagers wanted to go fast, and that we did. Snorkeling with turtles was very cool, and the supplied snorkeling gear is great quality and really clean. The trip was enhanced by our multiple encounters with impressively large dolphin pods and flying fish. Chris and his crew (Wes) were really friendly, really helpful, and really informative. This was a fun and exciting experience for all of us, and it should be noted that our 17 year old son declared it to be the highlight of this Hawaii trip, and our 13 year old daughter did not stop smiling the entire time.
