This is the best place for a wedding if you want it to be stress free! Grace was exceptionally helpful and guided me through the food and drink selection choices. She provided a list of vendors that work with the Addison, DJ, photographer, minister, florist and everything was perfect! It was the dream team since they are used to working with each other and everything was seamless! From the moment we pulled in on the wedding day, Grace greeted us with the photographer and the florist to make sure the pre ceremony photos were taken out front. Came here for a wedding and I was happy to see the safety protocols that were taken not only by the hosts of the wedding but as well the venue. They did temperature check and required guests to wear their masks. Plenty of sanitizing stations and tables were spaced apart and seating at each table was capped to a limited number for physical distancing measures. read more

Venue: The venue is as stunning in real life as it is in all the pictures. I can't really say more than that. The "Wow" factor is real. Major kudos to the entire staff of The Addison for being to be able to handle the Covid-19 protocols and safety measures with such grace and style that it doesn't take away from whatever event you're having. Even in our ballroom we were socially distanced but it doesn't feel like it. All the staff stayed masked, gloved, and extremely professional. Our guests felt very safe. Food: I think the only thing outshining me (the Bride) at our wedding was the food!!! Oh my goodness, they do not disappoint! Jessica and Max really helped to put together an amazing menu that wowed our guests. We were able to request a specific wine that we really love and make sure that we had a vegetarian option for our daughter. The appetizers (get the lamb chops!), the salad (get the spinach salad with goat cheese!) Sea Bass, and Filet disappeared so quickly you would have thought our guests hadn't eaten in days! We even worked out a little late night menu with Mini Rueben's, Chicken Sliders, and French Fries. Make sure you do a tasting before the wedding. It is worth it. We decided on things we hadn't considered before simply because the taste was phenomenal and the presentation adorable. Service: The Addison hires some of the best people I've ever seen in the service industry. The bartenders and servers were like Ninjas. They magically reappeared to fill glasses, clear plates, and make sure every guest was attended to. My personal bridal concierge for the evening was a pure angel named Jennifer. She was ready at every corner with ice water, a fan(!!!!), and cocktails if we wanted. Appetizers appeared in the suite so we didn't miss out. She also managed to schlep my train all over the property for all the shots the photographer wanted to take. Somehow she was never without a glass of champagne at the ready for us and balancing my 15lb bouquet all with a smile and a laugh. She was a blessing!! Planner/Coordinator: Jessica was our planner and I can't possibly put into enough words how fantastic she was throughout the whole process! We never once felt pressured to pick anything we didn't want/need/or wasn't our style. Instead, Jessica guided us into finding exactly what we wanted and helped us create the most beautiful wedding of our dreams. As a second wedding for both of us, we knew what we wanted and came armed with firm ideas of colors, menu wants and needs, and Pinterest goals that we attainable. She understood our need to keep our wedding fall themed without going down the pumpkin and burlap route. We ended up with the most gorgeous linens, place settings, and menus to match. Throughout the whole process Jess was always available by phone or email. I'm sure she probably had a million other brides she was attending to, but she always managed to make my husband and I always feel as if she were our own personal coordinator! Cost: You get what you pay for. No matter what size your wedding (ours was less than 30 people) Jessica and Max and everyone in the office will work to lay out exactly what each piece of the process costs. There is no hidden agenda or add on fees. They work very hard to be transparent on the costs of each ballroom, evening versus afternoon wedding, and menu choices. You can have a lovely and simple event that is equally as fantastic as a 200 person extravaganza. There is no way you can go wrong in booking with The Addison. I visited event hall for a wedding and was pleasantly surprised by my time there. Upon first glance, the location is relatively small, but the outdoor space is blooming and the interior is nicely decorated. Since the wedding was rather small, all of the guests were comfortable, but I can a capacity issue arising with larger parties. My only issue is that things were still being set up as guests arrived; I strongly believe that these tasks should have been completed ahead of time. Following the ceremony, there was a short appetizer/drink portion on the itinerary. We were all served in the outside space; there was a bar and workers would walk around with plates of appetizers, such as ahi tuna chips, lamb chops, and mushroom puffs. The appetizers were delicious, but they were not coming out fast enough; a group would eat the entire tray, so a lot of others were not able to try the food. The bartenders were extremely nice and remembered every person's drink order. I would walk back up to the bar on multiple occasions and he would ask if I wanted the same drink each time. Afterwards, we were served dinner in the indoor hall. We had the option of filet mignon or seabass - go with the seabass. They also provided a sweet potato gnocchi, tray of bread, as well as wedding cake for dessert. Workers were constantly walking around with wine bottles to refill drinks, and the indoor bar was open too. If you ever needed anything, the workers were very nice and attentive. This hall turned into a dance floor following dinner; I would say that the DJ is mediocre, but I didn't expect a wedding to turn into a club either. The Addison is right out of a storybook. It's a restored 1920's estate and 5-Star Diamond awarded venue that needs very little to be impressive, charming and romantic. This venue stripped of all the fluff is still exceptionally beautiful and my experience last night attending a wedding here was nothing less than stellar. Tucked beneath the banyan trees was one of the nicest wedding ceremonies I've ever seen...and for once in my life I can say that the food and service was a solid 5 STAR to accompany it. From the grilled cheese with tomato bisque to the reuben sandwiches and vegetarian wontons served during the cocktail hour- including my choice of sea bass with a cheesy risotto as the main meal were deeeeeeeelicious. This place far exceeded my expectations and is by far my favorite wedding venue to date. My one minimal gripe about the reception area is the floor plan inside. There are walls that divide some guests from the main hall hindering your visibility of what's going on. For a wedding for example if you choose to stay seated and you're not sitting in that "prime real estate" section of the main hall you miss out on the wedding party entrance, first dance and just visibility of the bride and groom. My wife and I got married at The Addison in January, and we highly recommend you do the same! I can't imagine there are many venues in South Florida that can match The Addison's ambiance, food and hospitality. Our guests absolutely loved everything about the venue, and so did we. We had our ceremony in the courtyard and our reception in the main dining room, for around 135 guests. It was cozy, but it didn't feel overcrowded at all--the Addison team did a great job working with our vendors and setting up the room. I think what we appreciated most about the venue is that they seemed to think of literally everything in advance--Helene, who was our point person for our wedding, is the best! She was highly organized and responsive--she helped put us at ease, especially in the final stretch as our day approached. Trust me, you want someone like Helene in charge of your wedding. Two examples of how The Addison takes care of everything: After the ceremony, they had a plate of appetizers, champagne and specialty cocktails waiting for the two of us in a private room. I didn't know I was going to need a mini grilled cheese with a cup of tomato soup just moments after tying the knot, but boy did I ever. They also assign couples a sort of personal aide for the night--someone tasked with handling anything that needs to be handled, from holding medical supplies to fetching a beverage. (Shout out to Stephanie, you were amazing!) The Addison truly seemed to think of it all. They ensured the entire night ran seamlessly so we didn't have to worry about anything other than soaking up the moment. Everyone says the food at The Addison is amazing, and they are correct. If anything, the food was even better than I expected. Our guests are still raving about it. The sea bass I ate on my own wedding night might be the best piece of fish I've ever had. Where do I start? I was fortunate enough to attend a wedding this week at the Addison and consider it one of the best venues I've ever been to. The space itself is nothing short of stunning. The food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The drinks were strong and well made, with excellent bartenders and waitstaff. The "groom concierge" Tia was there for whatever we needed whenever we needed it. But the icing on the (wedding) cake would have to be the integrity of the staff. My date forgot her purse (filled with cash, her necklace she took off, and a brand new iphone) at the wedding and woke up in a panic. We went back at 7:15 AM the next morning expecting to be totally out of luck and be locked out with no way to even look for it. Well, their staff was already there cleaning and preparing for the next lucky bride and groom, and one AMAZING employee was there on her own time just making sure that everything looked good. Her name is Allison, and she clearly exemplifies everything that is right about the venue. Allison looked everywhere for us. She didn't find the purse in the first few spots she checked. My date was in tears. We'd given up and were looking up locksmiths already. Thankfully, Allison wasn't ready to quit and kept looking... She found the purse, put in a safe place by the cleaning staff with a note to reach out to the wedding party that very morning. Clyde and I were invited to a dinner party at The Addison. This beautiful venue is great for parties, weddings, and special events. We drove up to the front door where we were greeted by the valet. The interior is beautiful. Rooms surround a lovely courtyard. We started out in a smaller room with drinks and passed appetizers. A while later we were called to a larger room with beautifully set tables. In a connecting room to the left was a buffet. The connecting room on the right had a large bar and desserts. The food was delicious. They didn't run out of anything. Service was perfect. My wine glass was never empty. The Addison was a great place to have an event. This review is long overdue. After a while looking around and trying to decide on a venue, we chose The Addison as our wedding and reception venue. We fell in love with the banyan trees, and, quite honestly, Amy Hoodack was a delight to deal with during the entire process and a major reason we chose the venue. She knew my budget, and she did everything she could to ensure that we got only the best within that budget. She wasn't pushy. She didn't try to oversell just to squeeze money out of us (like so many other vendors try to do). She was extremely honest about her suggestions and even helped get us get better pricing for some things. She's a wonderful human being, and she really helped me a ton during what can be an incredibly stressful process for a bride. The venue itself is gorgeous. We didn't really have to add a thing outside to make the ceremony area look amazing. The cocktail area by the fountain is beautiful as well. The reception room was a little too big for our 72 person event, but they managed to set up the tables and our flowers in a way that made the room look good and a little smaller. The food was excellent. Wow. The entrees are made to order (not chosen in advance) and they and the hors d'oeuvres so delicious the guests still talk about it. Service is seamless, and all the servers, bartenders and wedding assistants are professional and good at what they do. Getting married here was an incredibly positive experience, not only because I married my soulmate in front of all the people I most loved, but because it seems that The Addison only hires the best of the best. What a beautiful venue! My friend got married here this past weekend and it was gorgeous! They transitioned the ceremony area quickly and discreetly and the reception area was beautiful. The only thing i didn't like was that there were a few tables off in the room with the bar which kind of secluded some of the guests. It was hard to see in the main room and we kind of felt left out. We were close to the bar which was a plus but we were separated from the rest of the group for things like toasts and first dance. This is the most beautiful location, somewhat intimate, in Boca Raton. The building was built as an administrative office by architect Addison Mizner, the founder of Boca Raton (where he actually built very little before going bankrupt in the Florida land crash of 1926). There are enormous trees, baobabs or something similar, in the gardens in the front. The event space in the building has a two-story ceiling, and around the perimeter on the second floor are various offices, whose entrances you see from below. Sort of an enclosed courtyard, but with a wood floor. My wife and I went there on Valentine's Day, one of five days a year it is open to the public. Note that tickets must be bought online in advance. The charge of $200 each covered chef-quality food (no menu, everyone got the same), all drinks, and gratuities. Plus a rose and a picture. The most beautiful wedding I have ever seen, can't believe it was mine!! My husband and I chose the Addison as our wedding venue after touring several venues in South Florida. What I initially loved about the Addison was the beauty of the banyan trees, the sprawling outdoor space, the gorgeous fountain, and the fact that the venue was a one-stop-shop, meaning, we didn't have to cater food separately and the Addison would handle chair, dish, linen rentals, etc. on our behalf. I didn't need a wedding planner, since I had HELENE, who handled my every need. She was extremely responsive whenever I had a question and when I arrived on Wedding Day she took my hand and from that moment I knew everything was going to go smoothly! My fiancé and I had planned to have our wedding at The Addison on April 21st 2020. Amid the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic, we reluctantly canceled what was meant to be one of the most memorable days of our lives. But what hurt even more than the termination of our special day was The Addison's complete lack of sympathy and clarity in guiding us through this matter. March came and we were nearly a month out from our date when the virus started to cause nation-wide alarm. I preemptively sent emails to our coordinator (who was lovely to work with), to no response, and was given little to no information by anyone who I was actually able to reach over the phone. We were left in the dark. Several days later, after no answers, we received a call from The Addison to pick one of two options within 24 hours: either cancel our wedding and any ties with The Addison, or reschedule within 6 months. Rescheduling within 6 months wasn't an option because government officials had stated that the pandemic was expected to be at its height in the fall of this year. We pleaded to reschedule within 12 months, as most wedding planners are recommending for other couples, but they refused to compromise. So we had no other choice than to cancel. Which is exactly the problem. In reality, The Addison didn't even give us a choice to start. They had already taken thousands of dollars from us, and now they wanted us to gamble with giving them thousands more in rescheduling during the virus' projected peak. Or, they could simply shrug, throw their hands up in the air, and walk away with our money stuffed in their pockets. The Addison is a beautiful venue. We were enchanted by it the second we stepped onto the property. But its appeal feels hollow now. While other companies around the US struggle to find a balance in aiding their communities and those affected by this crisis, The Addison would rather treat its "customers" like suckers. read more

I had the pleasure working with Helene while getting married. From start to finish, she was absolutely amazing! She made getting married a breeze. She went above and BEYOND in service, answered my 1 million questions throughout the process at any time, eased my nerves, handled any surprises or hiccups, and helped my family and I in any way that she could. For our destination wedding, I am very glad we chose the Addison as our primary venue . As soon as you get in, the courtyard teleports you to a different world. Getting hitched between the banyan trees in front of the fountain was simply magical. The venue's architecture offers gorgeous views for photos. The venue also offers enough space and secondary halls to house different events or ceremony. We utilized one of the room for kids and baby sitters. The foods were great and they offer different cuisine and huge menu selection to choose from. A special shout out to Grace(our coordinator) who was extremely cooperative and made our planning remotely from Minnesota very convenient. All the staffs were helpful and made us feel very special during the event. The manager for the night, Max simply handled all the request smoothly. Having toured 5 venues for our special day,we could not have chosen a better venue. I attended for a wedding event. I'm not sure if the staff was overwhelmed with Easter coming up, but the bartender all the way to the waiter/waitresses were super rude. My son is lactose intolerant and wanted some more food that was dairy free. The waitress threw the food on the table from like a foot away. My wife was appalled. The bartending staff was in such a bad mood, my wife requested I fetch the drinks so that she would not have to deal with them. My dear friend Julie got married last night at The Addison, and we all had an amazing night. Julie also has a party planning company so she knows what she's doing. I got there a little wary to help set up, cause I knew Julie would need it. Everything was actually pretty much set up when I got there and I went outside where the ceremony was held. It was outdoors under a huge and beautiful tree, and the weather thankfully was perfect. Long story short they forgot the ring boy's suit at the house so the wedding definitely not on time but The Addison staff was really cool about it and we didn't feel rushed at all. After the ceremony, we moved to a different section of The Addison for cocktail hour. Servers walked around with many hours d'oeuvres, my favorites were the short rib on a spoon and pigs in a blanket. As we entered the last room for the night we all headed over to the reception room. This lovely restaurant has an amazing ambience. Started evening in courtyard under the tree canopy with lights twinkling and cocktails flowing. Dinner was remarkable with seabass one of best I have ever had. They did seem a bit understaffed for the size of group we hand as our waitress looked exhausted and we had to go to bar a few times ourselves to refresh. Just had my wedding in the main dining hall on 09/17/17. =) My guest had an amazing time, we are still receiving compliments about our wedding a week later! We initially started off with Lisa however, something happened and Grace took over as our coordinator. My anxiety did kick in, as it was literally a month before my wedding, however, after speaking with Grace and having all of my final questions answered, I was content. A week prior to my wedding, Hurricane Irma hit. My anxiety peaked again however, Grace reached out to me afterwards to confirm that we could still proceed with our date. On my wedding day, I was blown away by the staff! Everything was so organized and we started right on time! The personal Bridal concierge that was assigned to me (Abily- I apologize if misspelled) was literally my guardian angel for the evening. I did not get an opportunity to worry about as everything was already accounted for. She literally was the oil in between all of the moving parts. I used Boca by design (Carlos) and Munoz photography (Armando), which are on The Addison's preferred vendors and I was more than pleased with how everyone worked together. I literally had my vision manifested at The Addison. I am so pleased with this venue!!!!! There is a minimum spending amount for the main hall however, it was well worth it. Somethings are worth the additional cost and some things aren't necessary. Stay true to your vision and review your contract to insure you stay within your comfortable budget amount. Be proactive in your planning! It's well worth it! We wanted to create an experience for our guest and not just have a wedding! My husband and I just got married at The Addison and words cannot express how delighted we are. Everything was perfect. We probably had everything that can go wrong during the ceremony: late; pouring rain; a passing train; but Cindy Pierce and The Addison staff did everything in their power to make our wedding beautiful.
