I had lunch here today after the rush was done, as a Peruvian guy at a local construction site…read morerecommended it. Honestly the place is GOOD. I got a combo of chicken and papa a la huancaina and salad. It came with a side salad, too, so I definitely got my fill of roughage today! I like their salad dressing. The cheese sauce on the papa a la huancaina was great, and I loved the chicken. It all wasn't necessarily so much better than other places I've been to in NYC, but the server was nice, really on top of things, and the place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. I would go back of I was back in that neighborhood with friends.

Chips and salsa (5/5): My mouth is feeling a tingle from the salsa and I'm not mad. The flavor is rich and developed and they bring this to your table to kick off the meal. The chips are thin and crispy! Pisco Sour (4/5): This drink is the national beverage of Peru and is a must-have for all when enjoying Peruvian cuisine. I found this version a bit sweeter than sour from what I remember from my trip, but it was very tasty! Lomo Saltado (4/5): The steak is slightly over but every other aspect of this dish is perfectly brought together. The fry wedges are nicely crisped and the bottom of the rice absorbed that wonderful saucy flavor from the dish. Ceviche Frutos Del Mar (5/5): This dish has everything. Beautiful umami flavor, several fish, and a stunning presentation! My only ask would be to deshell the shrimp but otherwise perfect. It even comes with some sweet potato! Maduros (4/5): Lovely sweet flavor but I wish it was fried for another 60 seconds of crispiness. Service (5/5): Very attentive servers and delivered on every aspect expected. TL;DR: Next door to The Capitol Theater and would absolutely recommend for a wonderful meal, upscale atmosphere, and attentive service.

Excellent Peruvian food in Port Chester…read more The ambiance is bare-bones, with huge TVs on either side of the dining room so that you will be watching something however your chair is facing. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is some of the best in Westchester. Everything is phenomenal, from the soft, warm, toasty rolls they bring you in the beginning, which come with both butter and a spicy green sauce, to the main courses. I am a big fan of fried fish, which is fried tilapia. It comes with either French fries and salad or rice and beans. I have also had the bistec milanese and sampled the lomo saltado- everything is delicious. The best side you can order here is the sweet maduros/platanos which come out very hot, but are some of the best I've ever had.

Almost passed it as its an unmarked door with small windows by the entrance. Almost like an apartment. Greeted by a waitress who spoke english. I opted for the mixed chofan rice and the steak with salad and white rice. The prices for both were similar, hovering just under $15. She got bread rolls with butter, which was really good as the bread was nice and warm. It wasn't microwaved warm as when the bread got cool it didn't transform back into playdough. From ordering to food on the table was around 15 minutes. It wasn't busy, about 5 other patrons. Steak came out and it was seasoned just right with a nice salad right on the plate along with white rice. The chofan came on a big plate, even though the picture makes it look small, it's surely a 2 person meal on its own. All in all for a small hole in the wall, this place rocks. The waitress told me on Fridays and Saturdays it gets very busy. So beware! I added pictures. Enjoy!

The Lomo saltado was delicious, the meat was tender, and it had great flavor. We really enjoyed that with the fresh vegetables and french fries. The seafood was good, but not memorable. It was very hard to eat with the thick sauce on top of it. It was not shareable as we thought it would be. There was one clam, one mussel, etc. also, the fried fish which was crispy, was at the bottom in a puddle of sauce. That kind of defeats the purpose of frying the fish and having it crispy. It gets pretty busy in here and pretty loud, so get there early for a table. I will come back for the Lomo saltado which was memorable!

Our server was nice and there was music playing in the background. They also have a bar area. The menu had a variety of food ranging from seafood to meats. I started with a passion fruit sour and it was really good! For main course I ordered the pesto spaghetti with breaded chicken. The portion was very generous. Loved the spaghetti and had a good flavor. The chicken was crispy and nicely cooked. It came with a side potato. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu and it helps that is open late in case you are looking for a late night bite.
