It's obviously the new model, and since it's opening, I've seen a few being transformed in the city. The last time I was here was during Christmas. I bought all my supplies for my party, and they had really good sales and exactly what I needed. I was mostly in the grocery section, and didn't need to explore the others. I also got some great Christmas crackers (Monopoly Deal) 6 for $5. Each one came with a key chain and a mini monopoly deal! Score. Walmart in general, has cheaper stuff, but in my opinion, some times it's similar to No Frills, or a Dollarstore (next door) could be even cheaper. Just keep an eye out for the flyer. The personnel here is one of its best assets- extremely friendly and approachable staff who immediately treat you as a regular. What is really cool is the staff has been there for a long time and recognizes you when you go in. It is the perfect store for women 30+. Everything is colour coordinated, from the clothes to scarves to jewellery everything is presented boutique-style. They sell purses (guess) shoes, and a small area is dedicated to men's clothing. The store is located in a plaza on the east side of Yonge, so there is lots of parking. There is always specially priced clothes in racks outside the store. Trust me when I say you shouldn't pass it up. I have found many treasured pieces there. At the end of the season Cheryl the owner reduces her clothes by 50%. She sends out emails to her regular shoppers so you get first dibs on the sales. Staff are always friendly and you feel like you just want to go there and hang out. I highly recommend you check them out.

It was delicious :) My friend got the Injeolmi Cream Latte, and it was lovely. This coffee drink really goes well with the injeolmi, aka roasted soybean flavour! There were a lot of seatings available inside the shop, and also outside on the 'patio' (sidewalk of the streets). On Sunday when I went to pick it up, I was told by two young men working in the bakery that there was no cake - that the cake girl had quit and I was out of luck. Kind of ruined the photoshoot for the party and of course I was called out as "forgetting to order the cake" which I had not. Today, I had calmed down enough to call and speak to the Store Owner who told me the cake had indeed been made and was sitting there getting stale. When I told him exactly what my experience was, he told me the "boys" involved had been spoken to and that it would not happen again. He did not sound apologetic, he did not offer me anything as an apology, in fact he almost made it sound like it was my fault for not going into the back of the bakery to look for the cake myself. As I work in customer service, I go out of my way to make a client happy - this man not only did not do that, barely acknowledged that it had ruined a special day for my family. Not even an offer of a coupon or gift card to cover the cost of a cake for another family birthday - nothing. He gave the impression that it was unimportant in his world and that I was not a customer to be concerned about. To say I am incredibly disappointed after shopping there for over 20 years and getting my cakes there as well, is an understatement. Mount Albert Foodland - you should do better!!!
