I have a soft spot for old-timey junk heaps like this place. I grew up going to them and although they are dirty and weird and full of crap, there's a charm to them that I wouldn't want to see go away. I think. This place is no different, you get all kinds of baked good, smoked meats, antiques, cell phone cases, e-Cigs, Funko Pops, dvd's, knock-off sunglasses, Chip Truck Fries, you name it. It has it all. I get the appeal and I get that some people would hate this place. I'm somewhere in the middle. If you like these kinds of places, I think you owe it to yourself to check it out. The should just rename the place "BUYER BEWARE" however when it comes to the food, the quality of the items here, and even the tolerance by the vendors, you never know what you're gonna get. The last thing I saw before I left was a shop aimed at bikers/Hell's Angels types that was proudly displaying, at the CASH REGISTER, a shirt that said "Welcome To Canada! Fit In Or Fuck Off!" which, offense aside, kind of sums up this place. Bikers are traditionally founded on the very idea of non-conformity and anarchy, of bucking trends and social norms, so a shirt like this just kind of screams inauthenticity and it speaks volumes in so many ways of the kind of foot traffic these places gets. Biggest flea market I've ever been in - the attached roadshow antique mall is the biggest I've ever seen, and I've lived in most Canadian provincial capitals - winnipeg used to be my favourite until I saw this place. You'll always find something that you didn't even know existed and some knock offs that make the items more affordable. I picked up crocs for everyone in my family. $1 for parking hasn't changed since it opened I was told. The video game vender who dresses like Mario is hillarious. Its great just to see that alone. They also had a guy selling nothing but newfoundland products. Just awesome. You gotta go at least once. Only complaint was that they don't sell winnipeg jets merchandise. read more

Pizza, poutine (hmmm, Queen's Poutine), is so good. I have tried meat lover poutine, and I have seen others get the Newfie poutine (stuffing with poutine). I go here for the farmers market not so much the objects. There are different vendors. This place isn't the greatest . But it's comforting in that it has been the same throughout all of the years I've been alive. My grandmother used to bring me here as a child. And whenever my family and I drive by, we stop in for old times sake. Other then that , lots of junk. Lovely perogies though in the food court. Super yummy. read more

The first bad sign was when they charged for parking -- what business charges customers to shop? There are a few good vendors to be found, I'm sure, but was generally unimpressed with the overall offerings -- these days there are far fewer original artists, and far more resellers of used goods. By Far the biggest pile of crap, garage sales rival this place. The building is old decrepped and hotter than hell (no ac). For the most part people trying to sell counterfeit, illegal, or stupidly poor quality goods (Dollarama Rejects). Some of the vendors are on crack for the prices they want for their shit. Not even worth the $1 parking charge. To add insult to injury many of the food vendors have been shut down by health inspectors recently. This place needs the wrecking ball and it needs it soon. read more

Well worth a visit. The market has just about everything. There's a wide variety of vendors selling very unique products. Vendors are all very kind and welcoming. Also an awesome spot to have lunch or pick up some sweets. Family friendly and always a great time. read more

The Diamond Showcase at the 400 Market in Stroud - When this business (and I use that term loosely) made a mistake on my items I have paid for it and paid for it again. No apologies were offered, let alone a discount of any kind. I would not recommend this place or shop here again. The Diamond Showcase at the 400 Market in Barrie/Stroud provided me with the worst customer service I have ever received. Daniel, who is either the owner or some type of management was even belligerent with me when I asked why I was being charged for a mistake his staff made.
