I had their daily quiche which was bacon & spinach, a cinnamon twist and a very large Mystic Chai Latte. I heated the quiche in the customer provided microwave. A good quantity of well cooked bacon and plenty of spinach in a light crust. The cinnamon twist was soft and slightly warm from the oven. The Mystic Chai was in an immense cup. I added a loaf of house-made cinnamon bread for only $7.22; The restrooms are not handicap accessible. And no paper or text receipts, just email.

After confirming that I liked light roasts, she said I might like the Costa Rica Santa Maria. I drank my cortado in much more haste than usual to get to my pourover (they use a Hario V60 type, for you pourover people). On my first sip of the pourover, I noticed the light acidity, but it was somehow different, in a good way. I couldn't really explain how it was different, since I'm not a real coffee nerd. The coffee was good, more delicate but not in a weak way. It was a new and interesting experience for me. I'm glad I went back to wait in line again. We were inside for literally a few seconds before we were immediately told dogs weren't allowed and that we needed to leave. We weren't even given a chance to respond, explain that I was just trying to order, or even be asked whether my dogs were service animals. I completely understand having a no-dog policy. That's not the issue. The issue was how unnecessarily abrupt and unwelcoming the interaction was. There are much better ways to communicate a policy to a customer who just walked in and clearly wasn't aware of it. Instead, we were basically dismissed before we could even say anything. So we left and took our business elsewhere. Grand Junction has already been a weird stop for us, and after this experience, we'll definitely be skipping this place in the future.
