Clark showed up at the beginning and end of each paint day (4 total) and would even show up when I came home for lunch to check on progress just to make sure everything was going smoothly and meeting our expectations. The end result was amazing. We are so pleased with the wall repair and paint job and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

They sent me an estimate which I thought was a little high. Then they said they needed $11,000 down as a deposit! I have had two other roofs replaced on other property and both times not a dime was requested as a deposit. I spoke with several people in the business and they said they have never heard of a company asking that much for a deposit and warned me against doing business with them. To make matters worse, I had another roofer go over to give me an estimate and he sent me back a photo of Copper Tree's yard sign they had placed in my front yard. I had never authorized them to put their sign in my yard and I was pretty upset to say the least. I had told them I was not going to use them to replace my roof and yet they put their sign in my yard because they new I did not live at the property and probably wouldn't know about it - a very sneaky and underhanded thing to do. So I called owner Jeff and told him to go over to my house the same day and remove his unauthorized yard sign. He started arguing with me and said he would not remove it and became very belligerent with me. He was being vindictive because I had told them I was not going to use his company to replace the roof. Be aware that Texas is one of the few states that do not require roofers to be licensed so you really have to be careful when hiring a roofer in Texas. And really be suspicious when they ask for a large deposit up front (like $11k). Attached is the photo of their sign in my front yard they put without my permission or knowledge and owner Jeff is now refusing to remove.

Sometimes James was difficult to get on the phone but he always, without fail, communicated via email, text or callback within 2-12 hours, sometimes quicker. The crew showed up timely, did great work, cleaned up daily and they were done on schedule. They were all very friendly and courteous and respectful of us and our property. This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a contractor. After the work was done and we paid the only invoice they gave us, they came back months later demanding nearly $8,000 more, full of bogus fees we never agreed to: a $1,000 appraisal fee we didn't authorize, late fees, interest, and a "non-recoverable depreciation" charge they never mentioned. We were never given a written breakdown, no follow-up invoices, and after discussing what happened, they threatened us with a lien on our home. The owner, Ryan, has shown zero professionalism or ethics throughout the process. He talks smooth at the beginning to earn your trust, but completely changes tone when you push back or ask questions. Do NOT trust this company. Their shady billing practices and lack of transparency are unacceptable. If you value your home, your finances, and your peace of mind -- stay far away from RPB Roofing.

As a home owner I have contracted with many companies and have had my share of heartaches and disappointments between bad work and unreliable people. With Paul, I hired the good-ol' Texas contractor who is reliable, honest and knows how to do great work at competitive prices. He has done outstanding work for me but what I appreciate most about him is his honesty and reliability. Landscaping work is notoriously unpredictable with weather and unforeseen events often shifting schedules. Paul has remained cool and collected throughout the whole project and has always kept up with communication with me. I am in the process of working on more projects with him and am excited about the finished quality work already!
