Great food, great service! The service was super friendly and I didn't have to wait long for the delicious food!

My husband and I went to go find Ma Ma Nu's, which we had eaten at years ago and my husband thought it was one of t he most authentic and best green curry he had gotten in the US (he HAS been to Thailand). That is, until we ate at this restaurant. I will say he ordered authentic Thai hot and it was not the hottest curry we have ever had but the flavor profile was fantastic. I got the raw beef salad, which was excellent, and the fresh rolls, which were also excellent and the homemade sauce they combine with them was really good as well. I only added extra siracha. We also ordered a mango and sticky/sweet rice and it was some of the vest we have had. I do not usually write many reviews and think this may be only the second or third I have ever done but when I get something I feel is exceptional, I have started doing so. This place is great. Authentic Thai food! The fried rice is sooooo good! Do not be afraid because of how it looks. The food is awesome! Even our waitress was awesome. She knew the menu, front & back which was very helpful for us with it being our first time there. When we walked into the restaurant there was a party going on and the receptionist have 0 interest to take the order, another lady took our order and we were like ok fine some took our order. We ordered Thai hot, to be honest, we have tried Thai hot in many other places and we could eat that spice since we are Indians but this restaurant has mixed the chilies sauce in that and it has no taste to it. It's just super super hot like when you hate someone. All 4 orders were like that. I would recommend this to no one in this restaurant. we are just trashing all our food just like that, we were disappointed by the food and they made $50 from us just like that. Wtf is wrong with place?!?!?!. The door said they were open, there were people inside. Sign said "Seat Yourself", so I did. Then sat there and NOT ONE PERSON WHO WORKED THERE ACKNOWLEDGED ME. Who does that?!?!? Looked like they had a farmers market happening on the side of the building or maybe that's where you order from?!?!? I have no idea, but I will NEVER attempt that place again. Decided to give this place a try but didn't get the chance to. Not going to step foot in here again either. Got seated but never got waited on. Sat for quite a awhile. Place was not busy at all. Staff was literally standing around the bar and doing nothing. Also wasn't expecting the place to pretty much a bar with pool tables etc, which is fine. Staff also were outside hanging around on the side of the building. The whole place in general gave me the vibe that it is a front for something else goin on here. This place is massive and a bit odd...but not in a bad way! When is the last time you saw pool tables in a Thai restaurant? A HUGE bar with lots of TVs and many different drinks to choose from. My husband is a fan of Thai beer, so that's where he went. I decided to just stick with water for the night, but they consistently filled my glass. My husband had the Panang Curry, which was incredibly spicy as he'd asked for. I had the Pad Se Ewe, which was also spicy. Noodles were cooked perfectly as were the veggies. It was loaded with meat and delicious. We asked for the Prik Nam Pla as well, because we like the additional spice...got the look and were asked if we were sure, lol, yes, we are SURE! This place is huge and has lots of seats, both for dining and the bar. They are also open late while most of the town is rolling up the sidewalks. The owner, who is a tiny little thing, walked over to be sure we were happy with our meals. Visited from Texas on multiple occasions while on a work trip. The service is great. The servers and bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Myself and multiple coworkers really enjoyed the drinks, food and service. We visited almost every night for over 2 weeks. The worst service I have ever received. A server that grunts and shrugs from the time we arrived. Did not repeat our order and took them down wrong. Luckily we found another manager/owner who did correct our orders. We expressed our frustration that we could not understand our server but she shrugged it off and would not help us beyond that. We were not waited on anymore after this other than leaving our original order on the table. Overall we felt like the restaurant did not appreciate our being there. Went there today party of five for dinner from out of town after seeing reviews on Yelp. Normally when we are out of town, it's difficult to find good Asian cuisine but I was willing to give a try after seeing all the reviews and pic. When arrived, inside was spacious with a lot tables and sign says "SEAT YOURSELF", and so we did. At the time they were not busy. We ordered fried spring rolls, chicken wings, shrimp fried rice, shrimp pad Thai, chicken curry, spicy green papaya salad(they make 3 different ways! Thai, Laos and Laos with fresh raw crabs. I opt for Laos). Food came out very quick. From scale 1-5 I will rate as 5 being best. Fried Spring Rolls(only veggies)- 2 Chicken Wings(marinated/deep fried)- 3 Shrimp Fried Rice- 4 (that HOT wok made it bomb but didn't give 5 since limited prawn shrimp on the plate) Shrimp Pad Thai- 4(would have given 5 but they were missing BEAN SPROUTS =\) THE BEST tasting sauce I had in awhile! Chicken Curry- 4(they had the right ingredient in it, THAI BASIL!! W/o that it will not be Thai curry!) I saved the BEST FOR LAST.. GREEN PAPAYA SALAD(Laos version HOT, not Thai hot since I know how Thai hot will be, burning your boOtie hot! Lol). That was a 5! As soon as the older lady came out with my dish, I knew she made it and I knew that dish was BOMB! LOL. If ever you see "mama" out with dishes you know dang well you got some good food coming your way! She also asked if I wanted veggies in her back of the store grown in her planter that goes with the dish and ofcourse I said yes lol. This dish if you are not willing to be opened minded or not a fan of fermented ingredients like fish sauce, fermented anchovies, then don't go for it. I on the other hand make it at home but it was really refreshingly good! Went well with the wings and sticky rice I ordered. Can't have one w/o the other. Did not give this restaurant a 5 star since it does need help with inside and out. Not welcoming u would say, sign of business, the letter is fading. Building looks kind of run down inside and out. It did not make me wanna Uturn though. My tab came out $125 prior to tip. Was delicious but I will skip the fried spring rolls next time. Waitress was attentive and came over to check numerous times. This place is a Thai restaurant/sports bar/90's throwback spot. Thai Spice was playing everything from, 'This Is How We Do It' to, 'Barbie Girl.' Neither of which are anything I want to listen to while I'm eating, or ever. The inside is very dreary and dark, like a cave or boiler room. Standard for me trying a new Thai restaurant, I ordered the pad thai. I asked for hot, I got bland. I also ordered sticky rice, which came out as a hardened ball of grain. As a doordasher, I've never been treated so rudely by staff. I said I had a dash, and was met with being yelled at for showing up because she'd supposedly cancelled the order since they couldn't make it. I tried to ask some questions and she kept getting louder and then walked away and ignored me. About 15 minutes later, my customer told me that they'd changed their mind when she called them and they told me to come back and get the food. Just received order from DoorDash. I ordered the Massaman Curry. This is not that! This isn't curry. It's a very dry paste. Nothing like a Thai curry at all. It does not have the curry soup consistently. I'm not a big rice eater. So the little bit of rice I did mix with. The texture/combination is me eating very dry food. This place is sooo good! I love this place. The customer service is the best! There so kind, polite and cater to you. I am vegetarian and they catered to my needs! Not only that, but they opened immediately after the power came back on after having been out for 7 hours due to hurricane Sally, even though the streets were flooded. They were operating a skeleton crew, but got the food out as quickly as possible. Thanks for taking care of those of us that had been trapped in the hotels all day with no options for food! Hole in the wall GEM for Thai/Laos food! It's very rare to find AUTHENTIC Thai/Laos food this delicious while on vacation. Let alone in an area like Fort Walton, FL! Pad See Ewe and Lard Nar dishes were made right with the fat/wide rice flour noodles. See pictures. Pad Thai was very authentic... tasted just like home. Ordered Nam Kao- off their special Thai menu and I wasn't disappointed....so good with fresh slices of ginger on top and sour curd pork mixed into the crunchy rice wrapped in fresh lettuce and Thai herbs! People just don't know how good this stuff is! The papaya salad was awesome! I ordered laos style with blue crab ...and it was great. I added some sugar and lime to season more on the table but it was fine. The Nam Tok was ok... not what I had expected as typically the beef should be chard grilled or griddle. But overall we had a great family meal. Everyone was happy and very full!!! And can I also add the VALUE here is great! I wished I had a place like this where I live. This is NOT the fanciest Thai place in town. I've seen some bad reviews, I just don't understand them. I've been a Thai food lover for over 30 years, and in Fort Walton Beach, this is some of the most consistently good Thai food I've had. Three things: First, the food was okay. They are large portions. My husband wanted spicey fried rice and that's what he got, but he said he'd give it 2.5 stars out of 5. (He's been to Thailand) I ordered pad Thai and it was decent, but had Scraps for chicken. Secondly, This isn't really a restaurant you should take your kids to. It's mostly a bar with a karaoke corner and some booths along the wall. Thirdly, Our order was called in and picked up (tired baby in the car and it was 9pm). Twenty minutes turnaround. When we got home 20 minutes later, we realized they had forgotten my husbands entrée. I called and they asked if we could pick up or wanted a refund. I asked for a refund (because we live 20 minutes away) and they said they would. 5 minutes later they called to say they can't refund but would be happy to drive it out to us. I obliged, and they arrived soon after. The fact that they were willing to drive a single entrée out to us says a lot about the customer service. This place is really great. The portions are huge, and the flavors are always on point. We've only ever picked up food to go, but it's a very causal restaurant. Pool tables, large bar area with lots of TVs and sports etc. But the food, for the size and price, is a no brainer. I have never been to a restaurant where a bartender was so rude and nasty. Doordashers beware. Waitstaff will ignore you, aren't friendly and don't give you updates. When trying to ask about the status of food after waiting at a table for almost 30 minutes with no interaction or update the man at the bar (yelled at me his name was "Glen") snaps back that rice takes 25 minutes to cook and if we don't like it tell the cooks as it's not his problem and we can unassign and leave. The whole time he was yelling and making a scene in front of other patrons and honestly it was just embarrassing for him. I don't know if he was having a bad night or if that's just truly his character but yikes. I've never personally eaten here and never will if this is how they treat people. I thought I had the worst Thai food I had ever eaten in Navarre Florida. This place makes that place seem really good now. We ordered from Waitr. Food came within 25-30 mins, the restaurant is about 10 mins from our house. The food was hot when we got it, the spring rolls were decent a little peppery for my daughter but I like that the chili sauce that came with them with them was nice and spicy. The orders were all special orders, all cooked correctly, cannot complain there. The beef pad Thai and chicken pad Thai were terrible. NO flavor. My daughter's chicken fried rice wasn't good either, I didn't try it but she asked where it came from and asked for something else to eat for dinner. She's 11, we will not be returning. read more

The bartenders are beautiful, polite, and friendly. The owner, Bob, is a retired Military, and he make the place to be the source of fun, food, and exercise (dancing).
