I've dined in twice already and both times was pleasant. Staff is friendly and attentive. I've ordered the War Wonton Soup and it's absolutely delicious. HOWEVER, on both occasions where I've ordered the same soup, I noticed that there's black specs in the soup, like debris and garden insects. I was able to actually pinpoint and see their little legs. I don't think they wash there greenery/vegetables before throwing in to cook soup. That is a big turn off. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wash greenery/vegetables before cooking anything. At first the place seems very nonchalant and chill, like another small-family owned restaurant. The wait staff approaches you almost carelessly with a low-effort demeanor, however it soon becomes apparent everyone involved is very passionate about the food and experience offered. From the decor, to the furniture, and even the roof paneling, it was clear it took a lot of effort to create this kind of a low-effort, casual seeming vibe. After I ordered, my waiter asked me to reconsider my order, suggesting that the dish would be paired much better with a side of steamed rice and an additional chicken entree. At first I thought he was just trying to get more business out of me, but I decided to take a chance and order his recommended changes; he was not wrong. The dish paired absolutely perfectly with his recommended sides, and I could not get enough of the bbq chicken he recommended I add to the order. My plate was also stunningly arranged; clearly a lot of attention was given to the presentation, from the dishes, to the silverware, to the food itself. For the price, the portion sizes were also quite generous. You will not leave hungry, but you likely will leave thinking about their amazing bbq chicken for the next few days. read more

I'm baffled by how this place has 4 stars, literally baffled!!! After a long week, my parter and I decided to treat ourselves to some thai. Instead we just wastes $35 for five bites of food bc we couldn't finish it! To start off they told us 20 minutes, got there at the 20 minute mark to an empty restaurant and was told it wasn't ready yet. Not a big deal, didn't really mind, but when the food comes out like shit, I'm sure as hell gonna mention it. Like how do you have no customers and the foods still not ready on time. We ordered a yellow chicken curry and chicken satay and thai tea. The tea was the only good thing! The curry wasn't even yellow! It was this weird orange color and only had two vegetables in it. A few big chunks of onion and a few chunks of uncooked potato's. Potatoes shouldn't be hard to bite into!!! And the satay, ugh the satay. The chicken was okay, definitely could have had more flavor, but what really ruined it was the sauce. The SAUCEEENEVER, not once have I seen peanut sauce look like this. I was in terrible need of a new spot for wor wonton soup (my fav place in Sylmar closed recently ...Boo to them) Any-who I figured I'd go on the hunt for a new soup location. This place was my first stop..... and I'm so glad it was. The wor wonton soup is fantastic here! Nice sized wontons, just enough filling, the wrappings weren't too doughy. (as you can see i'm very picky about my soup). The broth was very flavorful and the veggies were cooked but still had texture. The only con I saw was the faux krab they put in it ...but I can get over that. This will be my new fav soup place! Lucky for me I'm close enough for delivery! My first visit here was great, I ordered their Thai basil crispy pork dish and it was delicious! Full of flavor with crispy juicy pieces of pork. Today I tried the same dish as well as their Larb salad with ground beef, very disappointing! The pork dish wasn't as tasty in flavor as it was the last time and the pork was extremely dry. The Larb salad with ground beef was TERRIBLE! Long strands of what looked like steamed strips of beef that were attempted to be sliced into small blocks to imitate ground beef, these were bland in flavor and chewy and the dressing was ok. The worst part though, were the chunks of cabbage just...sitting there, being thick chunks of cabbage... Easily the worst Larb salad Ive ever had. read more

I was extra thirsty so when I ordered 2 extra drinks to find out it totaled up to $6 for 3 cans kinda doesn't sound fair. If I knew that I would have only ordered one and drank water. I work in the area and was excited to see a Thai option for lunch. I got the prik king lunch combo and WOW... was i disappointed. The prik king had maybe 2-3 pieces of chicken (about 2 oz) and was otherwise just grean beans. Don't get me wrong, i like saucy veggies. But i was so disappointed i almost drove back to complain. The egg roll that came with it was clearly frozen out of a pack and it was the size of my pinky finger. The fried rice was cute--insomuch that it wasn't fried rice. No flavor, clearly no soy sauce, not fried in a pan, no veggies. Just a pile of rice with flecks (that's being generous) of egg. I'm all for the independent place, but this was so underwhelming. All of the dishes were well prepared, fresh and had the level of complexity expected for Thai food for under $40. Some of the reviews were not good due to poor flavor, dry meat, poor service, inconsistent food, but we received good quick and friendly service. The food was good, fresh, and very flavorful. Like anything. The Mongolian beef dish was terrible. Beef was super dry, again not much flavor, did they run out of salt tonight?? My kids ate the carrots in the dish. That was about it. The yellow curry was the best dish, probably because they can hide their flaws in spicy, coconut milk. The curry itself was runnier than some great yellow curries I have had, but compared to the mess of the other dishes, it was fine. I ate it. The pad see ew was okay. It had the same dry beef as the Mongolian beef dish, but at least this one had sauce that tried its best to save it. Maaaaybe this was an off night.
