This place has been here for over 20 years serving 100 Oak area, We stop by for lunch, craving papaya salad and spicy sausage plus some roasted duck, Foods were great and service was excellent. The place is nice and clean inside. Recommend if you're nearby and craving some Asian foods.

Combo lo mein. Pork steamed dumplings and basil duck.

The food is authentic, spicy and delicious. The owner is a shy gracious man, very respectful. We will definitely come back.

Good Food, Awesome Service From Leena We enjoyed our first trip to Thai Kitchen not only for the delicious food, but the excellent service from Leena. She went out of her way to be super sweet to our son as well as just having a happy personality overall. Interesting conversations too. Drunken Boodles were delicious. I might have liked a slightly larger portion but it was tasty. Pad Thai is awesome here. Good serving size.... DELICIOUS! Mango Sticky Rice made for a good finale of tastiness! Fried Banana Dessert: drizzled honey over tiny fried bananas. Tasty! They give you bottled water for free to drink instead of glasses of water. Unlimited supply. This will become one of our regular spots now for sure when we are in the area. All in all a great spot to get some tasty food! What are you waiting for, stop in and enjoy some flavor in your life!

Came here for a quick lunch. The shop is so quaint and lovely. The staff is super nice. The food came out super fast and was delicious. I got the veggie red curry and my sister got the kung pao chicken. I will say the portions of rice are fairly small in proportion to the amount of curry. I also had a random shrimp in my vegetarian curry which I enjoyed but could be problematic for anyone with seafood allergies. Overall, super fantastic Thai food for the price and the shop is cute.

Pork Basil thai style with fried egg

Thai Kitchen is the best mom and pop restaurant. You get great value, authentic taste and real nice owners. Chinese bbq: this is my absolute favorite dish that they make. The mom only makes this every once in a while so make sure you call ahead and check if she has it available. If she has it though, get ready for a sweet and savory sauce with juicy pieces of dark meat. The flavor is soaked through as it's oven baked in their kitchen. I make sure I order two. One for lunch and one for dinner. Thai style minced pork basil with fried egg: listen just get the fried egg added on. You won't regret it with the basil explosion with every bite. Garlic beef: lots of garlic. Need I say more? Okay I will. The beef is tender and the brown sauce is great to mix in with your white rice. Don't forget your Thai tea! Support this mom and pop Thompson lane staple!

Beef pad see ewe

I ate at Thai Kitchen on a Sunday afternoon based on curiosity after seeing it off the street. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall just outside of downtown. The parking is adequate as there are additional spaces across the street. The interior decor is modest but the restaurant was clean. The server was very nice and checked on us multiple times and the food came out in a reasonable time. I started with the steamed dumplings and boy were they delicious. I could tell they were freshly made and not from the freezer. I followed that with a cup of wonton soup and had the opposite experience - the broth had no flavor but the wontons were fresh. My main dish was beef pad see ewe. Firstly the noodles were cooked just right and full of flavor. The broccoli was tasty and well made. The only part of the dish I didn't like was the beef which was cold and tasteless. Overall I had some really good items mixed with some misses. I would come here again to try some different dishes in search of hidden gems.

Best red curry in Nashville! And if you put yourself in a food coma there's a sleazy motel next door that probably has an hourly rate.

Parking is free (must be validated inside the store) once you're seated. When it comes to the food, overall it was pretty good and reasonably priced. Lots to pick from, including Pho in a Thai restaurant. However, not sure if it was missed by our server, but the spice level (we got everything on a level 4 out of 5) was nowhere to be found/noticed. Pretty sure it was not spicy at all, we all added the chili oil which helped tremendously. On the other hand, protein was minimal. The portion was underwhelming and especially the chicken in the curry and shrimp in the fried rice. Lastly, the Thai iced tea felt more "sweet/sugary" rather than being actual tea. My personal rating: 3.8/5

The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the tofu was browned to perfection. The grilled broccoli and cauliflower were snappy and contrasted well with the rest of the ingredients. The dish had a spicy yet tolerable kick to it, but I have a very high threshold for spice and heat (I added chili oil to take it up a notch!). Also, the portion size is BIG. I was very hungry so I had no issues finishing most of it, but it could easily be shared between two adults, especially if you order an appetizer or side. I loved the interior decor, which was simple yet eye catching. The mural encompassing the entire space in particular looked really cool. The place was packed, but the friendly staff were hustling to keep the line moving.

The hardest part about eating at Degthai is beelining to the Tiew Gang Vegan. (BTW, I am not Vegan, yet I LOVE the Tiew Gang Vegan.) They do everything well - the other curries, the standard noodle dishes, the dumplings - and it can be tempting to just go with your regular go-to dish like Pad Thai w/Chicken (BORRRINGG, but they do it well nonetheless.) You've gotta try the Tiew Gang Vegan. It's truly a once-in-a-year of eating out experience finding a dish this incredible. It competes pound-for-pound in the same heavy hitter weight class as the best Pho, Ramen, Jjamppong, or Beef Noodle Soup you've ever had. I've now been to Degthai 10 times, and have gotten the Tiew Gang Vegan the last 5 times in a row.

I loved this place and got quite inebriated while I was loving it so much…read more Good news is that I walked here from my hotel room and could just walk back. Now... if only I could remember where I am staying. LOL. Just kidding! I made it. I got so lit in Japanese whiskey flights that I ordered enough food for two people. The "Flight to Tokyo" lived up to its namesake tremendously. That dang whiskey is wicked man. Combined with the beers that go down like water and you may be like me.... Wasted Soup dumplings are so damn cool. It's also either an engineering marvel or some sort of biblical miracle. How is the soup born inside the little dumpling?? So many questions!! I had some here and they were sure tasty!! I also had some killer crispy fried pork belly and some kick ass twice fried Korean wings!! Pork belly had tremendous umami flavors and was sticky sweet and yummy all at once! Loved it! But then came the Star.... I love chicken wings as much as I love life! That my friend, is a whole fucking lot!! I am more full of myself than you could possibly imagine. I loved these particular chicken wings a little more than life. I walked through downtown Nashville alone, on a random weeknight, just to eat these wings because I saw them on Yelp. I had already eaten dinner at Eddie V's earlier in the evening, but these wings called me from more than a mile away... Come eat me, Adam.... We started our night with the Pork Belly Bao Buns, but since they were out of pork belly, we tried the Chinese BBQ Pork instead. I wasn't upset because they were phenomenal. The Soup Dumplings were just as amazing, but the Roti Canai (Malaysian flatbreads with curry sauce) stole the show. The curry was rich with the perfect amount of spice. You're missing out if you skip the appetizers here. For my entrée, I ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup, and all I can say is wow. The broth and tender wontons were the perfect combination. My boyfriend loved his Pad Thai as well, and the only downside was the portion size for the price. I want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jaylen, for making the experience top-notch. He was incredibly attentive, patient, and offered great recommendations through the night. Hawkers is on my list for date nights, ladies' nights, or a casual evening out (especially for drinks and appetizers!)
