When we want tasty Thai Food we come here. The lunch specials are a great deal and are all prepared and served fresh. Specials are so unique, their names escape me, but the last two we ordered were consumed to the last drop they were so delicious - an eggplant dish, and a green curry dish. Let's start off by saying that the family owned business are fantastic people. Great smiles and genuine. They always cheer me up. They dish out some of the best Thai food around. This was my first experience with Thai food, to which I completely fell in love with; in a narrow sense. Narrow in that my experience with Thai food is mostly limited to pad Thai, (I'm usually the type to venture into different plates, but I tend to regret not ordering pad Thai whenever I do explore) so this a review of that dish, primarily. This is home of the only American pad Thai dish (prepared with a minimum amount of spice) that I was able finish without a sudden feeling of fullness ,and need of emptying halfway through. While it may not be the best Thai food I've had, it is close to the top and better than expected in a small town in the Central Valley.

Delicious food and a great family running this yummy spot in Hanford. Highly recommended.

The waitress seems unfriendly at first but she is quite the opposite. She is quick, making sure to answer all your questions and give suggestions. I had the medium tofu curry and it was delightful. I wasn't sure if they could do the curry without meat (it wasn't listed under the vegetarian menu) and she was happy to let me know they could do it with tofu. They don't have pho, their menu isn't the best, and they do not have many specials to choose from. Most of their items are fried which is a bummer. Their pad Thai is alright. Recommend Keo Thip in Fresno over this place any day. It took forever for us to place our order or get our food. There's only one waitress and she disappears from time to time. read more

Really enjoyed Thai Kitchen. The Pad Siew and Satay chicken were delicious.

One of the best restaurants I have been in despite the area. For one the food is incredible and all cooked and made very well. Service is very nice and they haven't gotten my order wrong ever. The employees there are very welcoming and always seem very happy. The one downside though is the area, it's not in the best part of town and the restaurant is a little small, but the food definitely makes up for it. I would definitely recommend trying it. If area is a problem they also do pick up so you can eat play home. read more

We (my wife and I ) where very impressed. First, was the fact that the chef took our order and was meticulous in understanding and explaining the spice levels she perceived we where asking for. I've got to say though, the beef satay and peanut sauce was quite disappointing. The beef was very tough and gray. For 8 bucks, don't waste your money, but when the main dishes came, oh boy, the ride began... I had the (hot) shrimp,chicken & pork w/flat noddles and (medium) pork fried rice. Could not get enough, all conversation stopped, replaced by sweet sweaty goodness. I will be back for the rest of the menu..Highly recommend. read more

5 because it's Hanford not SF or Seattle. Small inland towns don't normally have this quality of Thai food. I know good Thai food because my wife is Thai. This is the only Thai joint that served hot when I asked for hot. They have a good variety of food too, not just pad Thai and curry. Worst Thai food I've ever tasted. This place seems to get by on customers who do not really know the difference between Kao Soi and a bowl of noodles. The vegetables seem stale (like they were left over from last week) and the stir fry dishes are tasteless. Not worth the money. The bottom line is: go someplace else for decent Thai food. read more

So, I've purposely waited to give my review for awhile, as I wanted to come here and eat at least 2-3x before giving an opinion. We've been here mostly during the weekend for dinner. Each time we've been here, we've been greeted warmly by the young guy who's working the register/serving. It's located in a small, old strip mall & i think it's one of those establishments that's been around for quite some time. It's pretty small, but still good for medium sized groups & it's never been full when we've been in. because it is small, it can get very quiet at times though there is a tv playing. the menu is decently priced with items from $7ish to $11ish i think? I wish the menu were a bit bigger, although it's decently sized (but maybe i'm used to the million elephant's huge menu in fresno). I've never had bad service here, nor have I ever had to wait very long to get my order in. The wait to get food, however, can be a minute (a long minute) but nothing to knock a star off. The food is piping hot each & every time - so all is forgiven pretty quickly. I am disappointed by the calamari, i've had better -but not in hanford. it just seems like there's more batter than calamari that's all. However, their other dishes are good, no complaints. I dont know authentic Thai food if it bit me in the ass, so move along if that's what you're looking for in this review. i do however know bad tasting food & bad service, & i have yet to get anything like that from here. This last time we came in the service was really friendly - as our server was packing our leftovers for us (they do that for you), she was asking me questions, and making friendly conversation. Gross!! We just moved to Hanford and love love love Thai Food! I ordered Tom yum soup and it was so sweet! I have never had it sweet before but there was definitely some sugar or something in there. What happened?! My first time eating here was 6 years ago and dishes tasted much better. Since then, flavors have slowly diminished. I ordered to go salt and peppered shrimp. It came out as shriveled shrimp covered in a slightly thick sauce. Definitely not what expected, flavorless and over cooked. Their well balanced calamari salad has now become very chewy calamari in a pool of bland liquid. Their stir fry bamboo tasted old and salty. New cook? New owner? Definitely new food. Ordered pad thai with beef, yellow curry with chicken. Twenty minutes later we got our waters. 45 minutes after arrival our food came out. The curry was sub par and had a hair in it, the pad thai noodles were hard and Swimming with grease. The lemon slice on the pad thai plate looked like it had been sitting out under a heat lamp for three hours. Our waiter was very friendly and did his best to make our visit a good one, I give him 5 stars, but we will not but coming back because of the poor show by the kitchen. Advised them specifically that I am allergic to peanuts. And that NO peanuts can come near my food. She acknowledged and repeated it. I got my food and took 3 bites and had an itchy throat. Scared, I looked through the dish. What do you know! PEANUTS! I bring it to her and asked about the peanuts and she said "yeah you're allergic". Then what's in my dish? She said "looks like a little bit of peanuts, but it's a small amount so you're okay". EXCUSE ME? They don't understand what allergic means. I ordered the fresh spring rolls with shrimp and coconut curry chicken over rice along with their Thai tea. While I waited for my order, the server brings this small cup bowl of soup that had crispy rice and a cilantro and vermicelli noodles. That soup was so delicious. The fresh spring rolls were not that great. The ratio of shrimp and fresh vegetables were lacking shrimp. So it was mostly vegetables. The coconut chicken curry was delicious, but the rice tasted old. It was not a fresh rice and was semi cold. The Thai tea was delicious but ratio of ice was a lot compared to the tea. The restaurant is small and needs some pick me up appeal. Overall, my experience is a 2.5 stars, my true rating. It would not let me give a 2.5 star. I had high expectations walking in, but the restaurant failed my expectations. read more

It's Hanford so there isn't much to compare this restaurant to. The service was great. My waitress always came to check on me and was really nice. The food took a while though even though it was really quite. I had the calamari and it was dreadful. If it weren't for the sauce, I wouldn't have finished eating it. It was all batter and it tasted bland. I had curry which is pretty decent. The chicken was really chewy, I don't know if it was really chicken though. I had sweet rice with mango for dessert and that was really the only good thing that I ate. I've been there twice and might go back cause it's the only one in town. I grew up in Sacramento and I've had awesome Thai food before but due to it being in Hanford, I'd say it's the best in town unfortunately. read more
