    Thai tea

A small corner restaurant tucked away in the Gateway shopping center of Edwardsville. At first I didn't expect much, but as soon as you were greeted you already knew this was the place. The owner and her wife both are amazing at what they do. Food is excellent. Flavorful. Presentation is great. Papaya salad wasn't as fishy as I usually like it, but it had a light fresh taste of lime and the papaya was crisp. Thai tea was one of the best I've had. Perfect balance between the sweetness of the milk and the tea was brewed strong. We will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu. Khob Khun Kha!

Watery, flavorless and poor quality protein. Want Thai? This one isn't worth a meal being $20.....go elsewhere.

That leaves me in the unenviable position of choosing between such descriptive masterpieces as "shrimp with broccoli" or "shrimp cashew nuts". I suppose that's fair considering anything more descriptive would require actual ingredients beyond corn starch, sugar and soy sauce. Do I actually have more "Asian"ingredients in the door of my fridge than every Chinese place or are they just afraid to use them? Sorry, sometimes I just feel like going on and on but let me say this. I don't know exactly what's in pad Thai, I don't typically order pad thai but I do know this. Pad Thai is simple. Pad Thai is great because of the little things-scallions, bean sprouts, nuts, some lime, chilis, zippy poppy, textured things-none of which were in my food pile. Did I expect it to be great? No way but I also didn't expect it to be as bad as what you can see in my picture. Is this what people really want? Here's my suggestion for every stupid gloopy soy shack on this side of the pacific-have a street food section. Have four dishes, beef, chicken, seafood, vegetarian and let these sons of bitches go to town in that wok-you ever see the magic that happens in those street markets? Let them do it. Whatever, we are stupid Americans, we teach people how to feed us, batter it fry it and goop it, here's another 70 bucks.

It was very very delicious :-) My choice of taco was the buffalo wing sauce/chicken chunks , ranch and blue cheese sauces and shredded lettuce.. The taco should be supplemented with something else, or else order 3 of them- - I noticed some people rated Corelife poorly due to it not filling them up- But I didnt expect one taco to be a full course meal , so I wasn't dissapointed; It was utterly delicious! The brussel sprouts side was yummy and could only be good for you- I just looked up their health benefits and found the following: BRUSSEL SPROUTS: High in Nutrients. Rich in Antioxidants. ... May Help Protect Against Cancer. ... High in Fiber. ... Rich in Vitamin K. ... May Help Maintain Healthy Blood Sugar Levels. ... Contain ALA Omega-3 Fatty Acids. ... May Reduce Inflammation. I will be trying their wraps next ! After I was done eating, I got a refill on the organic iced coffee for the road--- yumm!

I like the fresh, healthy options available, whether it's protein types, fresh veggie options, sauces, etc. It's nice they have "cold" and hot plate options as well. Service was prompt and friendly around lunch both days. My only gripes are: 1) place wasn't that clean, tables were wiped for instance 2) serving sizes appear to vary very much so on who's filling your bowl 3) I asked and paid for extra meat and the given was pretty paltry I would go back though if in the area again.
