I have eaten here probably 30 times in the past 5 years and it is the most consistently made and delicious Thai food in Maine.

Been going here for years. March 7, 2015 there was five of us. The waiter sits us down and proceeds to fill water glasses. 30 minutes later, I asked if he is our waiter? He said he will be right with us. 10 minutes later, he takes our order. Not once when we first came in did he ask if we wanted a drink or appetizer. When I come here, it is usually for lunch. The portion size for lunch is the same portion size for the dinner size,but double the money. So we get our meal 30 minutes later, not once did our waiter ask if we needed anything or how things are? I get the bill and gratuity is added, because we had five people. I did not see anywhere, where they will charge gratuity for over five people. I was forced to pay the waiter a tip that he did not deserve. Thai Dish in my opinion has gone down hill. Their prices and services need to be over hauled badly. read more

I have ordered the pad se ew with chicken as well as the broccoli with chicken and brown rice (plus carrots and green beans, per customer request). Both were absolutely fresh and delicious! During lunch, they also serve a fried thai roll and a side salad with scrumptious peanut sauce. Service has been consistently great and prices are very fair. read more

So to be very clear the food here was great when I finally got what I wanted. I started by ordering a great appetizer. The issue I ran into was the menu. It highlighted a crispy noodle pad Thai entree. I ordered that expecting it to be a boiled noodle that was fried and t turned out to be a deep fried noodle that was never boiled. So they were crunchy. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. When I brought this to the attention of my server he went out back to order me a regular pad Thai and. When he came out he said that the manager said they would not be willing to take it off my bill and that I would have to pay for both. They didn't even try to meet me I. The middle. I guess the worst part was that I didn't even pass any blame on anyone but myself and I never once asked for my mistake to be corrected for free. The waiter just came back and said "the boss says you have to pay for the replacement if you want it" I said. Ok. I am giving this restaurant a 2 star rating for the simple fact that they didn't care really about my satisfaction to the point that it had to be made clear twice from my waiter and the lady at the bar that I would have to pay for the crispy pad Thai that I didn't want. Needless to say I didn't stay for desert. Too bad really because the regular Pad Thai was great! read more

The quality of the food was sub par to say the least. The "salad" was simply pieces of iceberg lettuce and some shaved carrots. I had the pad Thai and could only stomach the few shrimp I had. The fried dumplings were something I'd expect out of the freezer section. On a positive note the server was great, friendly and kept our drinks full. Everyone seemed nice and did a good job, however under no circumstances would I return just based on the food. Prices were fairly low and I now see why. read more

Hubby and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with Thai iced tea. Very well prepared and service was great.

Only ordered over the phone and had it delivered. They always come before time they say. But to call in it takes at least three times for me to call before they actually answer. The kra ton thongs are very good. read more

Today was the second time in a week we chose to eat here and we've eaten in and had take out many times before. Just like last week, today when we walked in to dine, were we greeted in a friendly manner with a "Hi, how are you today?" or "Hi, welcome to Thai Dish!"? Nope. Instead the young lady slammed down the receipts she had in her hands like we were inconveniencing her by coming in to give them our money. All she said was "It's going to be the dinner portion now". This is a very similar way we were greeted last week and it did not make a good first impression then or today. Needless to say, there weren't even any other diners in the place. I can now see why. You should never treat your customers like they are bothering or inconveniencing you. With that being said, the food is always pretty good, which is why I give it 3 stars. I do have to say that the young man that was also serving is always very pleasant, but when it starts off the way it did, it makes for a bad overall experience that's hard to recover from. Maybe it was the time we went, although they were open. On the way out, the servers were sitting down and eating, so maybe we were interfering with their lunch break. Who knows? I just hope you have a better experience than we did these last couple of times. read more

I've gone here twice before and always got the "Pineapple Fried Rice." It's always been delicious but this third time I got a nasty surprise. I had taken probably 3 bites when I tasted MOLD. At first I couldn't believe it so figured it must be my imagination. I continued to eat and after another 2-3 bites I got a huge mouthful of definitely MOLDY rice, almost made me gag. Threw the rest out- too scarred for life to go back there!! Too bad cuz I love Thai food. read more

I live right down the street from Thai Dish and I eat there at least twice a week. Their food is delicious the duff is wonderful and I am never disappointed. I would prefer to give a zero. Take out order had half the orders wrong and they actually argued about it and wouldn't fix the order. I had company from out of state and was embarrassed for such lousy service and food. They forgot 2 things in the order as well. It was a mess! read more

Above average Thai food for the Lewiston-Auburn area. I recommend the crunchy pad thai and the mango fried rice.

Had the Rama Garden with duck and fresh spring rolls. Both were excellent. Good, personable service. Rama Garden's peanut sauce is quite tasty, especially when paired with the hot chili sauce, and the peanut sauce for the spring rolls (different from the Rama Garden sauce) was also very good. Prices reasonable. Highly recommended. read more

Take out service is awful. I was told 20 minutes and arrived 45 minutes later. At first I was told that it would be ready in a minute. I asked for an explanation and they said they think they gave it away to someone else. They refused to give any discount for the wait time. Won't go back. read more

The food is very good, most of the time. Sometimes it can be cold. Certain Thai dishes that are made from scratch seem to vary quite a bit from time to time. This place is no exception. Go light on the heat, 2 stars here is equal to 5 stars at most thai places. They will not answer the phone for take out or delivery orders when the manager is not working at night, which can be pretty annoying. Certain dishes here can really vary depending on the day, especially the curries. I have also had a mixed bag of service over the years here. The pad thai is pretty bland, and they use vinegar instead of fresh lemons. The Tom Yam is very good, along with the Panang curry. Their rice is usually well prepared, and the right moisture. They tend to use a lot of basil leaves, and they never cheap out on spices. The people who do the cooking are the restaurants best assets, along with the manager. It's good for the area, but if you are visiting here your not going to want to make a special trip. read more

I have eaten at Thai dish for many years. By far the best Thai restaurant in the area. The food is always delicious and the staff is very pleasant. My husband likes the Tamarind duck. I love the many dishes this place has to offer. I order 5 star hot and it is really HOT! The rama garden is very good. I have not had a bad meal. You will not be disappointed with the food or the service. This place is excellent!! read more

Rama Garden is my Favorite here and is best Thai in the area. I haven't tried too many items on the menu since I always get the Rama Garden. We do get the Pad Thai and that is good as well. read more

this was a restaurant i used to visit often. however, the last two times i've ordered takeout at thai dish, there has been a staple in my rice. that's right, a staple... in my rice. not once, but twice. i did bring it to the attention of the staff, who seemed genuinely concerned, but needless to say, i will never eat there or take out from there again. this is unfortunate because i did enjoy the restaurant before these two, shall i say, mishaps. read more

Thai Dish, where have those delicious flavors gone? Yesterday my husband & I ordered (to go) Pad Thai & Thai Dish Fried Rice. My Pad Thai was nearly tasteless! There was the tiniest hint of flavor but very little. Eating it was like simply eating rice noodles for the most part. Therefore I ate just a little! Husband's Thai Dish Fried Rice was pretty good but lacking the intense flavor it had before. The only item we enjoyed was the spring roll with the wonderful sauce. Unless we hear things have gone back to normal with flavors, the spring roll will be the only item we may purchase from Thai Dish. 2 visits ago I ordered fish & herbs which had always been sensational. Not anymore! The dish seemed fresh, but the intense delicious flavor was lacking. I told the server this. Yesterday following our order to go, I phoned Thai Dish about the nearly flavorless Pad Thai. The gal said she has been hearing other such comments lately about the food lacking flavor. Thai Dish, if you are simply saving money, this practice will backfire & you will lose business. So sad! Or perhaps you simply needs new cooks or chefs. read more
