Don't sleep on this place! We've eaten at prob 30+ Thai restaurants throughout the years and this is by far one of the best if not THE BEST. Service was great! Food came out fast and piping hot! The peanut sauce with the fresh basil rolls was *chefs kiss*. We will absolutely be back!

Surprisingly good food! The place is tucked away in an older style open mall type. The inside is smaller but very clean with newer furniture. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. They have plenty of vegetarian options and I left satisfied and happy.

Led here by Yelp heading home from vacation. Such a fantastic local Thai restaurant with great service. All staff wore masks, the tables were spotless, and the bathrooms were clean. You must, MUST get the coconut soup. As is or with veggies, chicken, or shrimp, it is hands down the best Thai coconut soup I've ever eaten. The Spring rolls were hot & tasty. For dinner: King Prik with chicken, Karee Curry with chicken, both with white rice and Pad Woon Sen with pork The portions were great! The prices were fantastic, and the ingredients were high quality. I can not wait for next Summer to again have this wonderful food.

Review on Lunch Menu: There is a wide selection of food for a lunch special -- from noodles to salads, you name it. We had duck curry, Basil Rolls, Pad Thai, shrimp fried rice, crunchy chicken, and chicken and beef teriyaki. We all liked the food. I would also recommend the ginger salad and the coconut soup, they're good! The prices are very affordable. A Pad Thai with a side is only $7.95. My family and I ordered 6 entrees with 2 drinks and 2 appetizers and we just paid $96. The portions were not bad for a lunch special. Review on COVID-19 measures: The place is not too spacious. There were booths all around the restaurant and 2 tables in the middle. They reserved the middle tables for social distancing which is a good move. Our server was wearing a mask the whole time we were there. I did not feel bothered with the virus while I was here. Overall, we had a good dining experience. Our server was very attentive and she took care of us well. I personally just did not find anything special about it but it's definitely worth trying!

Thai Diner is absolutely delicious. I LOVE going here for lunch. The quality is excellent, people are friendly and service is timely. My Crunchy Chicken lunch plate w/white rice (see pic) was perfect. Tempura chicken, cooked & crisp red and green bell pepper, cashews. Also had the spring rolls appetizer. The AC temp is on FREEZE. The food took over 30 mins after ordering (not full store). Party of 4; ALL orders were wrong. Spice levels were all mixed up for each order. Fried rice is bland lacking all taste Pad Thai is mushy No table spices. A total let down.

We had a great experience at this Thai restaurant. Conveniently located on Hillcrest Road, this restaurant is tucked into a strip mall. We were sad to find out that they no longer serve sushi, but we found a couple of great options for dinner instead. We opted for the fried squid appetizer which wasn't chewy at all and very tasty. It came with a delicious dipping sauce. For our entrée we shared an order of shrimp fried rice. We also ordered a pot of jasmine tea which was very light and really nice. I can't wait to go back to this Thai Restaurant for some more delicious food. Also located in this strip mall are a barbershop, hair salon, and an Asian massage place (that I would love to try.) After dinner we walked to Krispy Kreme for a doughnut!

Ordered pad kee mow extra vegetables to go. I was greeted with a smile and fast service. They had the order ready as soon as I walked in the door. Generous portions and great flavor. It was spicy but I maybe should've asked for a little more spicy which is not their fault. read more

My wife & I wanted to give this place a try for dinner. It was around 7pm. Although, the food was good the portions were terribly small. There's an up charge for beef entrees. I knowingly ordered anyways. Sadly, there was maybe 5 tiny slivers included in my vegetables. read more

DELICIOUS, flavorful. Not oily at all. The folks there were very warm, friendly and professional. I'm a huge lover of Thai food, and have had the cuisine of one other restaurant in Mobile- it was disgusting, they were rude. I asked for 2 stars (spice level), and it was serious! So if you have a sensitivity to heat, tread lightly. Do yourself a favor and check em out! read more

Each time I have been to this restaurant I have been so pleased with the great food, the kind staff, and the cleanliness of the facility. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes Thai food. Be sure and get the crab and angels with the sweet sauce! Another tip: get the Sweet & Sour (Tom Yum) and get it Thai Spicy. It's perfect. I've tried every Thai restaurant in the region...this is the best! read more

I had the Basil rolls to start and they tasted very fresh with a perfect peanut sauce to dip them in. The masaman curry was spicy but mild with the coconut milk cooling down your mouth. I will be back to try other curry items on the menu. The dining room is not large and fills up quickly but if you have to wait a few minutes it will be worth your time. Their service as quick and made for a very pleasant experience. read more

First time coming here. We were driving from houston to Georgia and wanted a good home food style lunch instead of fast food like McDonald or Panda Express.This place hit the spot it was 4 miles away from our freeway but it was worth the driving. Pad see ew was delicious, and the beef salad from the lunch menu tasted good as well. If I live around this area this would be one of my quick to go food. read more

We decided to try a different Thai place so we stayed in Mobile after work. We are so glad we did! We started with the basil spring rolls with peanut sauce and those were so fresh and did not disappoint. Their masaman curry was amazing and so were their soups (coconut and wonton). The Pad Thai was a favorite. The Thai tea was also delicious. I only gave four stars because the online menu said they had sushi but when we got there they said it wasn't updated because they don't serve it. We were looking forward to a little sushi. Also, my husband's green curry was over salted (nothing extra rice couldn't fix though). Otherwise, everything was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of spice. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and are pleased we decided to stop in here. read more

I have eaten take out from Thai Diner a few times in the past few months. Each time it has been quite good. The soups are very nice, spring rolls are as you would expect but always hot and crispy. I do wish the Pad Thai meals had a little more in them as they are probably 95% noodles- tasty noodles and a tasty sauce, but very little else. The masaman curry is lovely. I will keep coming back and trying new things as everyone seems pleased when I bring food back from here. Also the lady who works in the front is a gem! read more

Probably the best Thai restaurant so far for me in Mobile but the only disappointing thing I found out was that they didn't serve dessert. I ordered the Papaya salad which was excellent and the Karee curry (yellow curry), both great dishes. read more

We discovered this place via YELP & we were not disappointed! Mindy, the server was so sweet & the restaurant was extremely clean & inviting! The food was authentic Thai, while also offering sushi options, which is awesome! We ordered a few different dishes & shared, but I recommend everyone getting their own order of Crab Angels, bc they're too good to share!! I got the chicken pad Thai with 2 stars. I normally can't handle a lot of spice, but this wasn't all that spicy compared to other places. The crunch chicken was pretty tasty, not that crunchy though. I would definitely go back! read more

We visited this restaurant based on reviews on Yelp and were not disappointed. My friend had the Won Ton soup which she says was "OK". I had the coconut soup which was delicious. For entrees, we shared an order of Pad Thai and house fried fried rice. They both were delicious! The entrees get 5 stars. We will be back. read more

Just go and enjoy it. :) Between my fiancée and I, we had green and jasmine tea, the garden salad, the Thai salad, pork pad Thai, and pork pad woon sen. Everything we ate was fresh and well seasoned. The portions were perfect and the prices were great. Our server was very nice and the atmosphere was warm. A lovely place to eat. read more

Food was OK, not at all in line with the 5 star reviews. I ordered "Thai hot" from the menu but it was mild compared to my usual places. The sushi tuna roll was cheap, but not very good. The Pad Thai was sweet, something I've never noticed before. The place is neat and clean. The server sat in a booth and stayed on her phone but came when I called her and was nice. read more

I am obsessed with their crunchy chicken! It is crispy and pairs great with their white rice! You can make it spicy or not! This is my favorite Thai place ever! I've been to a lot of Thai places but nobody makes crunchy chicken like this place!! Their tofu or chicken pad thai is my second favorite dish! The rice was fresh and provided the filling coolness to the spicy curry. Restaurant had beautiful decor and the service was great. Wasn't busy at all because I went before the dinner crowd. If I had to complain about anything, I guess there could have been a few more shrimp. But still a really satisfying dinner

The salad was there for moral support, and the gyoza was the one shining star -- crispy, flavorful, and seemingly made by someone who still believed in flavor. It's not bad food, just kind of... indifferent. Like that coworker who clocks in early but spends the day rearranging paperclips. Rice could be great with just a little more passion -- or, you know, sauce.

I went to go eat here and the food is decent. The workers are awful and bad service. One of the waitress act like she didn't know what to do. I was the only table there and she kept forgetting about my drink. I kept asking and asking. She rolled her eyes at me and said she would go do it, but never did. I got my drink after my food arrive and it wasn't even the right drink. A new table came in and she got their drinks right away. If I have to say, tell your workers to change their attitude and stop being on their phone and pay attention! read more

I was craving some good old Asian food Monday 2/26/18. To my surprise, while driving around several Asian restaurants were closed. Luckily I remembered Thai Diner from 1 previous experience. Thank Goodness they were open. I had the Karee Curry with chicken which was pretty good. However, I still prefer the Panang Curry due to the coconut flavor. The portion of rice is ridiculous (in a good way)!! I was able to get three servings of rice and curry for three meals. Will be going back soon. read more

Great little place. Staying in town for just a few days and I love Thai food. I was very pleased, wonderful wait staff, friendly and accommodating. I ordered the spring rolls, they were fresh, light and crispy, tasty. My main course was paid thai, I enjoy spice and it was perfect, just enough to make me have the sniffles ;). This place is literally the only place I eat out at in Mobile on the regular. Always consistently good and fresh. My favorites are the Thai basil rolls, masaman curry, and crunchy chicken! Love this place! read more
