Went here looking for a light Thai meal while visiting Traverse City. Small place located in strip mall. Standard fare on the menu. My wife ordered curry dish, I ordered Peanut sauce noodles. I was shocked when the food arrived at the table. Asked the waitress to check our order as mine especially didn't look right. Ended up with a mass of overcooked noodles with a like Alfredo sauce mixed into them. So sticky that it was like one mass of noodles. Sparsely placed chicken was scattered on the dish. Mac N Cheese type of mess, couldn't even separate the noodles too eat it, had to cut out chunks of the pasty mass. Ended up just leaving it in the bowl and left hungry. THE SPICE WARNING IS NO JOKE! Even mild plus had some heat. My husband really likes spicy and the medium plus had him sweating. If you like heat this is for you! The chicken was a little dry in all 3 chicken dishes. Overall the food was good. The only real issue was cashews in one dish after specifying on the phone order and in person at pickup that someone had a tree nut allergy. When I called after we got home and called to inform them they apologized for not realizing cashews were a tree nut and did refund the cost of that dish. The food was surprisingly good. Definitely order your spice level down. I usually get spicy at most Thai places and went medium here. Both husband and I deemed it spicy. The one negative to this place is the attitude of the staff. They want you to order and be gone. They are open until 8 pm but by 7:30 pm all chairs are put up on the tables and they are "closing." They even post a sign that tells people to leave by 8. One worker cut his finger on a knife while prepping our food so watched him stand at the register getting the band aids out. Food good. My concern is the 3 meals & 1 side order I ordered and had to spend more for chicken fried rice at half an order of the rice. the container should of been filled as Sam's club and Costco rice prices haven't gone up much... Ordered Mongolian Beef for take out. First thing is the plastic container was only half full, and when I started eating I found it was mostly onions very light on the beef. Maybe it should be renamed "Mongolian Onion". It's not cheap at the dinner price of $17.50, the one good take away is it had good flavor and the beef that was in it was tender. read more

Solid Thai food. We dined in and I tried the Masuman and Drunken noodles. Both were delicious and flavorful. The spice levels were also very accurate - I can take some heat and the medium was pretty spicy for me. The place is quite simple and has few tables. To be honest, I've been debating writing a review for a long time. I have a long history with this restaurant. I came up every summer for vacation, and this was my go to Thai restaurant for years before the pandemic. Sometime during the pandemic, the menu took a drastic turn for the worse. The old menu was significantly better and to this day I can't bring myself to go back because it's just not as good as it used to be. The service has never dropped, and generally is very good. I just feel the food quality and taste has dropped so significantly that it's not worth coming back to anymore. I still come once a summer to see if it's improved, but so far, not yet. The ambiance is super simple. The place needs more Thailand inspired themes to be proud of your country and heritage. The service was great and attentive. Consider adding to your menu: + sticky rice and mango as your dessert option. + beef/pork jerky + Tsang Beer I live in Los Angeles, CA and I know how Thai food taste like. My friends and I had a lunch here today and we kinda went overboard in ordering a lot of food! They had been here before but I hadn't and we were all hungry. We split the fresh summer rolls and the kow pad bi kra pow (basil fried rice). The summer rolls were ok but they had a bit too much lettuce inside for my liking. The basil fried rice was really good, but my one friend ordered it mild, (he's a wimp), but it would've been even better with some spice! My one friend ordered the orange chicken, he's had it before and has been here several times as he lives in TC. I might add, he loves this place! My other friend ordered gang panang (g4) with the (g6) sauce which he's had a few times before. I had ordered the gang peanut curry and added bamboo shoots and water chestnuts and I really enjoyed this dish. I ordered it mild plus and could've easily handled it medium. Except for the fried rice, which we split, we all ordered the lunch sized portion which was plenty! Spice level wise I'm saying they run on the mild side based on our entrees. By accident before bringing my meal to the table our server delivered gang massaman which we all took a bite of and my friend took the rest home. That dish was pretty good too! The reviews here looked good so I went on a Sunday evening. The ambiance was not the best based on hundreds of other Thai restaurants I have visited over my travels. The potential is there but it is just missing something. It didn't deter me however. The menu looked typical Thai so I inquired of the server what dishes had fish or oyster sauce in them. She stated all of them except for one entree and one appetizer. And there was no modifications. Because it was late and minimal choices where I was staying I order the one dish--Peanut Curry Pad Thai. I asked for steamed tofu but they were out. While I was waiting I overheard the server tell another table that they were out of several items that they wanted. Anyway my food came fairly quickly and was piping hot. Great had the flavor been there. It was the most bland peanut dish I have ever had and I've had a lot of veggie peanut dishes. I didn't even it it all, just the few veggies in it. On a good note the server was extremely polite. Overall I would not go back here as a vegetarian as I assume the only flavor is in their meat dishes based on others reviews. read more

The person running the register has the friendliness of a rattlesnake and a sense of humor like a bad case of the back door trots. Just rude. I don't think she likes her job or people. When we walked in we told her we would like to be seated. The chairs were on the table and she was in a real hurry to take the order. After we sat down, she rudely let me know there was no in house dining: " Can't you see the chairs were up?" I said yes, I saw that, but we told her we were intending on dining in when we ordered but as soon as she took my money, she said no In house dining. I said since we are already seated, we'd like to just eat. She said our meal was to go and we are not welcome. Because of the rude service, I will not be back. I do have to say that their Hot and Extra Hot spice levels are exactly what they say, HOT & EXTRA HOT. So, I recommend that if you like spicy, order mild plus on the spice and hot spice on the side. We almost gave up looking for this place about a month ago as the sign in front was not illuminated at night and it looked like it was part of the nextdoor establishment. Once we figured it out, we ate inside. We got the drunken noodle and the fried coconut curry rice. Both were decent (about what I expected), but the heat was low on my meal (which I ordered hot). The meal was inexpensive as well. The staff was great and even gave us an extra spring roll. I would get takeout from here again. We stopped here on a whim and had the best lunch! The Orange chicken was wonderful. Mostly white meat and a nice orange glaze. They gave me some 'hot sauce' on the side so I could add my own heat. It was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful regarding the heat index and what to expect. In addition, I had the pineapple fried rice with cashews. Oh my. It was a meal in itself, but of course I ate the whole thing with my orange chicken. That poor white rice came home to be added to another meal. I should have known when I walked in and the place was pretty full but no one had food. They were out of tofu because of an "emergency". We ordered summer rolls to start and asked that they were made veggie only. While waiting, I watched the waiter spill things, bring the wrong dishes out to other patrons and then finally, bring my table summer rolls. The heat was okay but that was about it. Also had the hot and sour soup. It was thick and burnt with no mushrooms or vegetables. We had to throw it all away.
