This place is great Thai food. It's a mom and pop shop in downtown Tracy. There's nothing fancy about it, but the food is fantastic!

I stopped here one day without planned, I stopped for lunch. It was pack, I sited and ordered a chicken pad thai and one iced tea. IT WAS DELI DELICIOUS! I went there like 6 times in a month. On any other day, this would probably be a 5 stars. But I am a pretty regular customer. So this review is fair. I always order the Panang Curry (Vegetarian). It used to ALWAYS be prepared with tofu that was slightly deep fried which made it extrememly amazing. Then in the last year, I noticed that the entree would come with tofu, but just sliced, not even cooked?? Thankfully I can eat tofu like that but for others, it was a shock to see it just sliced and tossed in the dish. And today, on Valentines Day, we ordered To Go. I order the same Panang Curry (Vegetarian) and for the first time... it comes with NO TOFU. THAT and the skimpy Beef Fried Rice and Pad Thai did not make for a great dinner. I should have known that it being V-Day dinner it would be busy... but our dinner should not have been half-assed. Will I still come back?? Definitely. I could eat here everyday. The Num Sad is delicious and is usually what I order. Otherwise I recommend the Salad Khai, Pad Thai, Chicken Fried Rice (just to name a few). Thai cafe is a staple for tracy ...they can even be called fast food because your food is always ready in ten min. They have this sauce which is actually the dressing for the salad kai but if u put it ln the chicken fried rice it turns it into crack...omg is sooo addicting..ill never go to another thai restaurant...thanks for the great food read more

I hate righting this type of review and hope it helps them address some issues. They rate two stars only because the staff is very pleasant. The Kai Salad with chicken was not good. It consisted of a little iceberg lettuce, one sliced tomato and a pile of dry, tough and tasteless chicken. Decor was so so - the old stereo with exposed wires and cardboard boxes sitting out didn't help. The hallway to the restrooms was messy and overall the place needed a good scrubbing. read more

First of all, I'm an avid fan of any type Asian cuisine and have experience in back of the house operations. I worked there for two days and that was too much for me. The head chef is racist and biased to other cultures. He was also very unprofessional by yelling and cursing at the wait staff in front of customers. I agree with other reviews when they say, Tracy has no other Thai restaurants to guide their tastes to. So, in that sense, it is somewhat flawed. This place is over rated because Tracy customers are biased. My score is just *average* because I was hungry at the time. So everybody in town raves about this place as the best Thai food. Personally, I think the other one down the street is much better. We ate in, and the ambience is well non existent. Someone introduced me to this restaurant and I fell in love with Thai food. Wish after hearing what I heard, I had never gone with her but...when I discovered from past employeeS that they RECYCLE the dressing from the Salad Kai from off the table, I never returned. For being rated as a four star restaurant I expected 4 star quality food. Their chicken fried rice with the house dressing is pretty good, but my pad thai tasted not so great. I'm not sure If i just went on a bad day, but I've had better. Very fast service though. Great for takeout. read more

Thai cuisine is one of my favorites and the food here is really good! But why only three stars? One star off for the lack of ambience and another off for lack of cleanliness. I understand the lack of ambience since it's a hole in the wall restaurant, but I've been to similar places that certainly try to put a little ambience in their restaurant. The lack of ambience is actually related to the cleanliness issue. The chairs and tables are old and the windows are dirty. Also, on the way to the restrooms, you see boxes of soda and cleaning supplies just strewn around the hall. They just really need to keep the place nice and clean.But the service was excellent and the food was really good. I had the pad Thai and it was served hot and fresh from the kitchen. I ordered it medium and ask for a side of chili paste. The medium spiciness was just right and not overpowering. It gave the dish a very nice kick with every bite. I'll probably be back when I'm in Tracy because I really like their food. read more

So this bad review is not on the food but it's about the customer service. So my sister and I came here on Monday and we walked in, was greeted, and at first we were going to get it for Togo but after ordering, we noticed they weren't busy and we had a lot of time to spare so we decided to WITHIN A MINUTE change our minds and just have a dine in lunch. The person helping us said oh ok no problem, but she had to ask this other employee about a ticket change. Because apparently they have different ticket booklets for Togo and for dine in. Well the employee by the name of Adriana was so rude about us changing our minds to wanna eat there she said " ok but next time you can't change your mind if it's togo. " First of all, it's not like we ordered the food and it was placed in the back ready for it to be cooked. We changed our minds within maybe a minute OR LESS. I always usually order togo here because they're famous for their salad Kai. But the one time we decide to dine in, our first encounter was not so great because that girl Adriana is so rude and it was really bad customer service, I didn't see her smile once. Our waitress was Tiffany and she was the total opposite, she gave us great customer service and always checked on if everything was ok. The food we ordered was of course the salad Kai and lettuce wraps. I'll definitely come back for the food and hopefully we get great customer service starting from the beginning. read more

Disappointing ever since the old owner sold its gone down hill. From the rice being way to spicy to the salads being super small now for almost $9 for a salad that is so small it might as well be a side salad. You can get a bigger salad at Wendy's for $7. These salads are ridiculous now. Place is going down hill. If they don't change things up and make stuff reasonable I won't recommend it or come back. They are getting really cheap on the portions with the price points they have. read more
