The flavors and preparation of the "Thai" fried rice with cashews, pineapple, and bean sprouts didn't reflect traditional Thai cooking at all. Unfortunately, the experience was also impacted by the staff, who came across as rude and unwelcoming. I have eaten here many times over the years and enjoyed the food immensely. This time, however, the food was blandly seasoned and the sliced chicken tasted of freezer burn. I stopped in for lunch and it was fairly busy. I was seated right away and brought water immediately. I got the drunken noodles with tofu and it came out hot very quickly. The spice was just the right amount and the tofu was really tasty. I would have liked more vegetables in the dish but it was good overall and the service was excellent. read more

I love Thai food and don't get it often, however decided to take a chance on this place, as I'd heard it was good. My Pad Thai arrived on time and I couldn't wait to try it. This so-called Pad Thai had 95% noodles, 4 pieces of chicken and was so under seasoned it was like eating a children's meal. This cost $21. If I'd been able to go to the restaurant myself I would have, however I have a broken leg...thus the delivery by Door Dash, whose service was top notch. We have loved going to Thai Basil since 2008. The food is ALWAYS good. If not, they will make it right. They have a sweet twist in their Phad Thai (which includes shrimp). The Tequila Lime Beef is one of my faves, as are the Spring Rolls and soups. And the Pineapple Curry is my wife and daughter's favorite. We go there at least once a month if not more. read more

Had a craving for Sesame chicken and decided to try the local spot closets to me and was not disappointed! The food was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! The chicken was not overly sweet, which is uncommon but nice, and the wontons were some of the best I've had! A nice surprise was there were steamed vegetables under the chicken, I was not expecting it and tasted so good. We had the pad Thai ( super awesome it comes with both chicken and shrimp), Thai basil chicken, crab Rangoon and vegetable egg rolls. From reading the yelp reviews I knew that if I checked in I would get a free appetizer. Just a note that the only free appetizer I was allowed to get was the fried egg rolls. They were quite crispy on the outside, but kind of gummy on the inside from having too much egg roll wrapper. Kind of greasy, and not much flavor. Underwhelming. I ordered chicken Thai basil and it was exactly as I expected. I really liked the ratio of meat to rice. The spice was the level that I asked for and the chicken was tender. Their happy hour wine was two dollars, which was a great deal. It was $1.50 beers including Bluemoon and Tsingtao. Our waitress was quite friendly and personable. The food was served promptly. I was so looking forward to Sesame chicken for take out tonight but instead they gave me Satay chicken that was not good at all. We ended up throwing it out. I didn't know the order was messed up till I got home. I called to ask them what happened. They told me they only charged me for the Satay chicken so everything is fine. I said I didn't order Satay chicken so then they hung up on me. For them not to say sorry for the mess up is very disappointing. It was a miscommunication between us which happens but very bummed the way they handled it. We had just had a wonderful meal at this restaurant dine in about a month ago. It was so good.
