I've been to both locations and they are pretty consistent with one another and always delivers on taste and quality. I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. One of favorite Thai spots in town. Some of my go to dishes are their green curry, pad thai, stir fry vegetables and basil eggplant. For the latter two dishes you pick your protein as well. These dishes are truly exceptional and super packed with flavor. Service is always good too. We've also catered from here for work and they have reasonable rates for catering and were very easy to work with. I highly recommend visiting this place! read more

Worst food ever....$80 for the most terrible lunch. Used to love this place, but I guess times have changed. The ONE shrimp you see in this picture is the so-called green curry seafood special! Two scallops, and one piece of shrimp! Unbelievable, as we paid for extra shrimp :((( Everything else was drenched in oil. Processed, old and inedible, disgusting. I couldn't eat my fried rice as I kept on chewing on eggshells....horrendous! Additionally we had to deal with the rudest and most unprofessional shift manager, who felt no need to be apologetic, stand by the quality of his food and make this right. All of this could've been resolved easily however, instead of showing some customer service, we got put on a blacklist . What blacklist? Second time at NaRai Thai today with my wife! We were so hungry I actually did not take pictures. After reading reviews, I was a bit surprised by how critical folks can be but I understand that all of us have our opinions and likes. The restaurant was clean and it is on the smaller side which I like. Our server Shayla was absolutely fantastic and took great care of us. We started with the vegetable egg rolls and they were even better than the first time we tried them. Crispy and perfect blend of vegetables when combined with the sweet sauce made it a perfect start. Asked for something extra to make the sauce spicier and we were brought crushed pepper flakes that were really great! We ordered three dishes all hot. The larb with ground chicken was perfect. The red onions were flavorful and crispy. Loved the fresh lime. We have tried it at several other Springs Thai locations and all were too much fish sauce for what we enjoy. The Sriracha Special with chicken was also a hit. Served with a large bowl of fresh white rice. The flavors were pretty remarkable as the sauce was spicy and the sriracha didn't over power the dish. Loved the mushrooms in the dish! Finally, the sesame chicken dish was amazing. The sesame sauce reminded us of our favorite restaurant from when we lived here in the early 90's! The chicken was crispy and the carrots and beans only added to the dish... My description doesn't do our visit justice! We will be back soon and will be sure to post pics! read more

Quaint and very friendly restaurant. Even though our server was new, Very pleasant and attentive! Seafood Green Curry was EXCELLENT! I had just got into town for a work trip and was grabbing some supplies from the Safeway next door when I decided to give this place a try. I'm a dig fan of Thai food and wasn't expecting much from this place but ended up having my socks knocked off after eating here. First off the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I never felt rushed and they always made sure everything was ok. I ordered the That basil stir fry with chicken and upgraded to the fried rice as my side. Wow! The stir fry was so delicious. It was cooked perfectly and had such great flavors. Even the fried rice was fantastic. I definitely need to give this place a few more tries as I've only been here once, and it seems to be somewhat different than you typically expect from a traditional Thai restaurant. That being said, they have dishes that are not as common, such as Thai style sweet and sour chicken (which is *completely* different than takeout Chinese). That being said, I only had pad Thai, which was different than you might get anywhere else. First, the noodles were thick, not thin, which I liked. Secondly, I asked for spicy, and they delivered, also great! Third, there was a lot of sauce in the dish, which I personally really like. The sauce settled to the bottom, as typically happens, but that created a nice opportunity to dig down and coat the noodles with as much or as little sauce as I wanted,and the sauce was delicious, so yeah. This honestly probably isn't a sign of quality, nor was the Styrofoam takeout container, but it worked for me, so points to them. All this being said, I'll definitely be back to try more dishes! read more

I'm not as obsessed with this location as the one near Cheyenne mountain. It's definitely older and could use a renovation. We followed the delicious smells here after shopping next door and came in for a late lunch. There were six of us and they easily sat us at a table quickly. We ordered a round of drinks and some apps for the table. The crab rangoon was not the best, but once we got to the actual meal, the food was delicious! My chicken pad thai could have used a bit more peanuts but otherwise very good and full of flavor. My boyfriend was also happy with his garlic beef noodles but he did say my pad thai was probably a bit better, so I'd recommend the pad thai if you plan on getting one of their noodle dishes. Another friend got the broccoli noodles which also looked pretty good and I would've liked to try as well. read more

So frustrating we have been coming here for over 3 years have always had a great experience dine-in. I really didn't want to leave this review but this has happened 3 times already. Every single time we order takeout the food is so disappointing. I paid for extra chicken and no mushrooms and it looks like my food was half eaten and guess what mushrooms. It was so salty I couldn't even finish it. For a dish that is almost $20 this is ridiculous! I was pretty upset getting home and seeing this. Not sure if they cut the portions when you order out but we will definitely not be coming here for a while. I tried to reach out to the restaurant and everytime I call the line is busy and hangs up on me. I feel like I got $20 taken right out of my pocket for nothing. Pretty disappointing read more

Such attentive service, from the warm greeting when we arrived to the waves from the entire staff as we left, made the deliciously authentic food even better. Our group of 5 tried a variety of dishes...Northern egg noodle curry, red curry beef with kambocha squash, sesame chicken, pad Thai & Royal chicken. Every dish was mouth-watering and the consensus was to plan a return so we could try more dishes ASAP. The spice level can be personalized, so everyone enjoyed the perfect level of heat. The timing of check-ins from the staff along with the impeccable service once food was delivered made this evening an all around lovely event. read more

Anytime I visit anywhere, finding a Thai restaurant is a must. Unfortunately, there are no such places in Monument, CO. But there are many in Colorado Springs. So on our drive home from Pike's Peak, my hosts told me to pick one. Yikes! So, many to choose my one and only Thai dinner. Okay, Yelp, help! NaRai Thai was the prayer I decided, on a good one. I did! Even my hosts said yum, yum. The host of my vacation had Chicken Garlic Noodles, and my hostess had the Ginger Chicken (Which she gave me a bite of, and I may venture from my norm someday). My norm is Thai Fried Rice with Chicken, NO VEGGIE, extra spicy. Oh, the spice as it burns the lips and taste buds, I'm a happy vacationer! Add a heaping of chile oil, and oh, life is grand! Not only was the food yum, yum our server Kelay (I think I got it right, I need to write these things down, my brain cells are not reliable, they probably went snap, crackle pop because of the extra spicy) was very friendly and efficient. I went here while on a business trip. I'm from San Francisco which has an abundance of great Thai restaurants so I'm familiar with the cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Thai restaurant in Colorado Springs that was good and I'm grateful for that. The prices are reasonable and the menu has a lot of items. It feels fairly upscale, but it's a good casual middle-of-the-road joint. I think anyone will find this place very acceptable on many levels. read more

How to lose a loyal customer (and knowing they are loyal because they asked if I come often). I will not be returning. I eat here every other week, if not once a week. It's my treat. I always order the green curry. I decided to change it up. I ordered my regular curry with extra vegetables ($2.50) and extra rice ($2.00). I checked what O had inside. instead of a regular curry in a bigger container with more vegetables there was a bigger container, filled to the same amount. Less curry, just more vegetables. I paid $18 for 16oz of curry that is mostly vegetables. I spoke with the manager. She brought out the normal container and held it to mine. Yes, it was filled to the height of the normal container. They are already over priced. If you do go her, they will nickle and dime you. I could have gotten a much nicer meal for this price. Pictures attached. read more

Interesting venue off Woodman west of the 25 - a Thai place next to the Safeway in the strip mall. The place is fairly small, but was a great place to have a quiet business meeting, as suggested by my colleague. The Thai basil seafood was very good , with some nice heat as requested. Rice accompanied the meal. Service was a bit delayed but otherwise attentive. It's not inexpensive - dishes are about $15+ for lunch so be prepared. read more

Without a doubt, this was the *best green curry* I've had in Colorado Springs. Great portion sizes and the flavor was rich and really delicious. One small thing: the restaurant was not very busy but we waited what felt like an hour for our meals. I've never had that problem at a Thai restaurant, they're typically quick! NaRai Thai is the only Thai restaurant to go to in CS!! When you ask for Thai spicy, you get Thai spicy! All the dishes are extremely tasty and cooked amazingly! The alcoholic drinks are delicious and not too expensive. The ambiance is simple and very welcoming. Makes for an excellent evening! The bathrooms are clean and the service is on point! We have coming here for years and it has slowly been declining, each time hopeful for an improvement. This last time (Feb 2) was completely awful. We spent $136 on takeout and not only was every single entree the wrong thing, but it was terrible. It was haphazardly thrown together and what looked like a last second attempt. If you are looking for the best Thai restaurant around, then I would tell you to look no further. NaRai Thai is by far the best Thai restaurant I have been to in the area. They have the best egg rolls and crab rangoons; the best Thai ice tea; and the best sesame chicken. All the while it is tucked away in a quaint, low-key building with relaxed ambience. Every aspect of the experience was incredible. Every time I leave, I start to wonder when I can come back next. The pineapple rice is amazing and so is the royal chicken. Phenomenal flavor, not overpowering, and not so spicy that you can't taste the true flavor. The mild has a flicker of spicyness and the medium has a little spark. Both of which isn't so spicy you can't taste the food. The chicken was cooked to perfection and so were the veggies in the royal chicken. The pineapple in the pineapple rice is just amazing and adds the perfect balance to the dish. This spot has good food but it is very inconsistent in the quality. If it's dead, the food is amazing but if it's busy, expect rushed food that tastes less delicious than if they aren't busy. I frequently get the Thai basil rice and it can be so delicious, full of spices and flavor. More recently it has been bland and low quality. I'd always recommend getting the beef version for the most bang for your buck. I have tried all versions and you should 100% stay away from the shrimp version. Not only do they give you a small amount of shrimp (5-6), but they didn't clean the shrimp properly, leaving the poop and intestines in the shrimp ( see photo). For 20$ for shrimp fried rice, I expect much higher quality and consistency for this dish. Give them a call ahead of time to see if they are busy and make your decision to eat there. This was all takeout by the way. I have not sat down to eat so maybe the quality concerns are for takeout only. read more

Not a restaurant to rave about. Yet another around the corner Thai restaurant. The first impression as we walked in was the strong smell of bleach or disinfectant. It was quite strong that we considered leaving but chose to stay. They had a nice selection of cocktails and tasted good too. Food was fine and nothing to rave about. Service was really good. A bit overpriced considering the location and food. Plenty of parking available- they are in a strip mall next to a supermarket. Will I return? : Not really. read more

This is my go-to thai restaurant in Colorado Springs. I really enjoy their fried calamari and I typically get the chicken pad thai. Portions are generous. I prefer to eat in than dine out as the calamari portions have consistently been better and the quality of the food higher when we eat in rather than take out. Staff is always pleasant and the environment has a cozy vibe. read more
